J´ai récemment découvert ce site qui m´a beaucoup plu car j´ai trouvé des infos très utiles pour préparer mon départ vers le Québec.
Comme vous avez probablement déjà imaginer avec mon français, celle-ci n´est pas ma langue maternelle. Je suis espagnol et dans un délais très court, probablement ver la fin du mois de février je pars pour le Québec. Je vais m´installer à Trois Rivières. C´est une expatriation d´une durée d´un peu plus de deux ans avec la société pour laquelle je travaille qui a un filière là-bas. Voilà la raison pour laquelle je m´installerai à Trois Rivières qui est un lieu un peu étrange pour les étrangers qui vont habiter surtout Montréal et Québec, d´après ce que je lis sur la web.
En 2003 j´ai eu l´occasion de vivre pendant 4 mois à Montréal. Donc, je connais un peu cette région. Avec les infos de ce site, j´ai pu faire une idée du coût de la vie la-bàs et d´autres infos très utiles. Cependant j´ai quelques question divers avec lesquelles j´espère vous pouvez m´aider.
Bon budget mensuel sera à peu près 2600 $ net (600 $ par semaine). Ici il ne faut pas compter le loyer car la société est censée de louer un appartement pour moi. Etant donné que je pars seul, sans fils et que les meubles et la voiture sont aussi fournis par la société, j´imagine que j´aurais un budget avec lequel je pourrai vivre sans soucis ?. Est-ce que ça est correct ?
Nourriture : j´ai trouvé les prix de pas mal de chose et ça m´a donné un bonne idée. Cependant, j´aimerais savoir le prix moyen de quelque chose si basique comme le lait et le pain. Est-ce que c´est possible de trouver facilement du poisson frais et l´huile d´olive. Comme bon espagnol ces deux ingrédients font une partie très important de mon alimentation.
Prix actuel de l´essence ?
Internet/ téléphone : j´ai trouvé sur le site Bell un forfait téléphone + Internet haut débit (je pense 7 Mbits) pour 50 $ + taxes. Vous savez si ce forfait est disponible pour Trois Rivières ou s´il y a d´autres compagnies fournissant le service internet. Pour moi c´est plus important un bon service, sans coupures que un prix très bas.
Aussi important pour me communiquer au début c´est le délais pour le faire installer (ici en Espagne ça peut aller entre les 3-4 pour les compagnies de câble à 3 semaines pour le téléphone+ Internet DSL standard).
Vie à Trois Rivières : est-ce que c´est agréable de vivre la-bàs ? Est-il facile de trouver du monde pour faire connaissance ? Je n´ai connais qu´une personne à Montréal et ça peut aller pour quelques fin de semaines mais pas pour la semaine après le travail.
Gym: j´aimerais aller dans un gym deux ou trois fois par semaine. Quelques conseilles? Combien peut coûter l´abonement mensuel pour un gym moyen?
Filles : un point celui-ci assez important pour un jeune célibataire de 28 ans. Est-ce que on peut trouver des belles filles à Trois Rivières ? Je me souviens d´avoir vu des femmes très jolies à Montréal partout dans la ville. J´espère que ça sera aussi le cas pour Trois Rivières ;).

Tu trouveras de l'huile d'olive et du poisson...s'il est frais, ça je ne sais pas, j'en mange pas, mais je suis sûre qu'il est possible d'en trouver.
Actuellement, le prix de l'essence à Montréal est d'autour 1, 10$ le litre. Le prix varie selon les régions et le coût du baril, donc ça fluctue énormément, mais en ce moment compte au moins 1, 10$ pour chaque litre d'essence.
Forfait Internet + téléphone: selon les options choisies, oui il faut compter au moins 50$ + taxes par mois, mais si tu rajoutes les options, ça peut gonfler ta facture rapidement. Il y a une autre compagnie qui offre le service téléphone et internet, c'est Vidéotron: www.videotron.ca
Généralement, l'internet par câble c'est très efficace et il n'y a pas souvent de coupures. Là je parle pour Montréal, mais j'imagine qu'à Trois-Rivières, qui est quand même une grande ville, c'est sensiblement la même chose.
Le gym: pour un forfait mensuel, ça coûte entre 30$ et 40$ par mois + taxes. C'est moins cher si tu prends l'abonnement annuel.
Pour la vie à Trois-Rivières, hélas je ne connais absolument pas cet endroit, mais je suis certaine que d'autres membres pourront te répondre.

Pour le français, tu te débrouilles très bien, plusieurs québécois font beaucoup plus d'erreurs que toi lorsqu'ils écrivent!
2600$ par mois sans avoir de loyer ni de voiture à payer, c'est amplement suffisant!
Nourriture : lait : 5$ pour 4 litres, pain : 2$ pour un pain. Poisson et huile d'olive : à l'épicerie (IGA, Métro, Provigo...) c'est très facile. En autant que tu sâches quelle sorte de poisson tu veux! Notre saumon fumé est super bon. Tu dois également essayer la Poutine dans un restaurant (c'est obligatoire!!!)
Essence : 1, 12$ le litre
Internet / téléphone : personellement, j'ai eu plusieurs problèmes administratifs avec Bell (frais cachés, manque de service à la clientèle). Je te suggères le forfait trio de Videotron : Internet, téléphone + télévision numérique (comprenant quelques chaînes espagnol) pour 70$ je crois. Tu peux te renseigner sur www.videotron.ca
Gym : Environ 30 ou 35$ par mois. Nautilus Plus ou Énergie Cardio sont deux gym reconnus. Sinon, j'imagine que l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières ont un bon centre d'entraînement,
Filles : Je te suggères de venir faire un tour à Québec! :P Mais tu ne devrais pas être déçu peu importe l'endroit où tu te trouves dans la province. On les aime bien nos québécoises ;)
En général, Trois-Rivières est une ville très calme. Tu ne trouveras pas là-bas de "centre-ville" à proprement dit, mais il y a tout de même plusieurs pubs et bars où tu peux faire des rencontres intéressantes. Je n'ai pas de statistiques à l'appui, mais j'aurais tendance à dire que la population est plus âgée que dans le reste du Québec.

J'habite cette ville depuis plusieurs années. C'est une ville de 125 000 habitants, très francophone et qui est la capitale de la région de la Mauricie. On y trouve une université et deux collèges, donc beaucoup de jeunes. Pour l'internet, le coût de la vie et le gymnase, tu n'auras aucun problème. À la maison, nous avons un forfait qui inclus internet haute vitesse, le téléphone et le câble pour la télé, pour un peu plus de 100$ par mois. Le gym, effectivement environ 35$ par mois ou moins pour un abonnement annuel (à l'université c'est super), enfin, il me semble que l'essence est à 1.08$ le litre aujourd'hui. Pour la vie sociale, direction le centre ville (rue des Forges), les bars, les cafés et les restos y sont très fréquentés.
Fais une petite visite du site internet officiel de la ville www.v3r.net.
Pour le poisson frais et l'huile d'olive, ce n'est pas aussi bien qu'à Montréal mais on se tire d'affaire. Nous avons une bonne poissonnerie (Les délices de la mer) et quelques épiceries fines (Fouquet Morel entre autres). Nos supermarchés offrent toutefois de plus en plus de produits de qualité.
Nous avons aussi plusieurs clubs ou associations qui pourront t'aider à rencontrer des gens. Clubs de jogging, de vélo, de canot, de bateau dragon, des chorales, des associations d'histoire, il y a aussi les centres communautaires de loisirs offrent des activités comme le badminton, le volleyball, la danse, les cours de mandarin, de sculpture, bref il y en a pour tout les goûts... quels sont tes intérêts ?
Encore bienvenu et n'oublie pas les vêtements chauds, en février il peut faire TRÈS froid.
