Si tu n'es pas accompagne par tes parents, ca risque d'etre difficile. Peut etre par un organisme d'echange (mais en general cela s'adresse plutot aux eleves du superieur ou eventuellement terminale)? Si tes parents ou un tuteur legal travaille sous visa aux USA alors, comme il y en a beaucoup autour de nous ici en Caroline du sud (faute d'infrastructures francophones), tu pourras facilement integrer une high school, y faire tes preuves (gifted or talented programs) pour continuer la route que tu veux suivre.

Donc par exemple si tu es bon en maths tu suivras des cours de niveau prépa MPSi dès la 1e, par contre si tu n'es pas bon en maths tu seras en cours de maths niveau 3e.
Aux US il existe aussi des parcours pour enfants ayant un QI élevé.

Pourquoi Harrogate?
Alors oui mon niveau d'anglais est équivalent à B+/C il me semble.
Par exemple je suis parti en Angleterre seul et je n'ai eu aucun problème à communiquer, autant au niveau de langue familier que courant que soutenu en passant par le langage argotique.
Je regarde des séries en VO et n'ai aucun problème de compréhension de l'écrit.
Mon père me pousse à aller à l'étranger depuis que j'ai 11 ans et ma mère est réticente de me laisser partir à mon âge mais sera heureuse si je le suis.
Je ferai le test quand j'aurai le temps.

tu ne peux pas t'évaluer avec des lettres... ça n'indique rien. (B+/C en Grande Bretagne ça veut dire 10-12 de moyenne, aux Etats-Unis 7-11 de moyenne... et on ne sait pas par rapport à quel niveau: 7-11 par rapport à un niveau de TL LVA ce n'est pas pareil que 7-11 par rapport à un niveau de ES/S qui n'est pas pareil que 7-11 en termes de 4e-3e).
Si tu connais le CECR et que tu entres en 3e, ton niveau peut être A1+, A2, A2+, B1, voire B1+.
En gros, A2= autour de 10-12 de moyenne en 3e. B1+ = 18-20. La majorité des élèves est au niveau A2+ ou B1.

Because the scoring scales are different depending on test and platform. (Khan Academy uses the "real" thing).

I'm taking the PSAT but it's definitely long !
I printed 4 answers sheets (is sheets the right word ?) and I read the wording with the pdf file.
I completed 1 sheet and a half.
I am going to (look, I learned from my mistakes !) look at every website (I spent my time to find a High school, so that is going To be easier !)
Here are my favorites schools, I am going to study more deeply the differents schools and the ones that you gave me.
I like them because they are serious, beautiful, large and all around NYC.
I would like a school with these skills, with a big stadium, a lot of courses, like law or political sciences lessons and for sure pretty girls (haha a little bit of humo(u)r) !
You should know what I mean.
Some of the schools I listed are very famous. They're very, very hard to get into - your scores need to be very high. However they have excellent financial aid (I don't know how much your parents make, and DO NOT reveal this online, but these schools cost a lot of money because they're like small towns all for students.)
You shouldn't choose schools due to their location. You'll NEVER go to the city. You'll stay on campus and live there, which is why finding a "good fit" is essential. The campus and school, with their mission, their philosophy... must feel "like home".

How often do you go to Paris? Not often, I bet. Perhaps for a vacation, when you're not in school.
Well, it's the same here. You're not going on a tourist trip. You're going to school. So, you'll be attending school, doing your homework, participating in clubs and sport teams, going to cheer on sports game for your school (or play in it)... there'll be no time for trips to the city. You'll live on campus. The campus is set up like a small town, with many buildings, and that's where you'll spend your time. There'll be some long weekends when you'll get a pass to town if you didn't misbehave, and some longer breaks when you go wherever your friend(s) go home to, but day in, day out, you'll be living on campus... that's the whole point of a boarding school.
To have a good idea, read/watch Harry Potter.
Notice how much time they spend at Hogwarts, and how often they go off campus to Hogsmeade.
You're smart: make your English better. Read books in English (a list's been conveniently provided :p)
If you've never met your relatives in Boston, time for your parents to get in touch and see if you can go spend a couple weeks there over the summer.
And, second, to look at boarding schools within a 60 miles radius to Boston (I'll do that, once you have a PSAT score).
BTW, if you're good at math, work on your math, because the French curriculum is slow and very bad compared to what many "advanced" kids have in the US.

My english because I'm going to speak that language everyday, and if I want to have a chance to get a into the schools, I must learn English.
My maths because I'm so good at maths but probably not compared to the US kids.
And become smarter because I like the work, and the knowledge.
It's difficult to make a selection among: "A seperate peace", "to kill a mockingbird", "guns, germ & steel" and "Looking for Alaska" !

See if your local library has any of them and borrow them (many local libraries have books in English); then, with the amount of money you're allocated, buy the one(s) you like best. Then have the other one(s) on your "to read" list :)
To kill a mockingbird, A Separate Peace, are classics studied in the 9th grade. Looking for Alaska is one of the most banned books for youth (with Harry Potter) and well known from most Americans going to biaridng school. Guns, germs, and steel is part of the non fiction reading curriculum in the 10th or 11tg grade so it's harder and ahoukd probably be takxeled after the others

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
