Depuis 2012 l'idée de partir aux Philippines trottent dans ma tête, par 2 fois déjà j'y ai renoncé ne trouvant personne pour venir avec moi. Je suis déjà parti seul à plusieurs reprises mais là je bloquais🤪
Pour 2014, c'est décidé je décolle !! Comme je m'étais pas mal documenté pour me faire un itinéraire ça a été plutot facile pour celui ci, surtout que j'ai l'impression de connaitre sans y être allé !! Cependant, j'aurais besoin de quelques infos supplémentaires sur ce que j'ai préparé.
Je devrais normalement avoir 4 ou 5 semaines de congés, en me gardant 10 à 15 jours pour la Thailande.
N'ayant pas de dates précises, le séjour serait prévu début mars et se déroulerait ainsi :
Jour 1 : arrivée à Manille dans la matinée. Vol pour Coron Island dans la foulée, après midi.
Jour 2,3,4: Coron Island, excursions, plage, snorkelling, sans doute plongée ( j'en ai jamais fait ! )
Jour 5 : trajet Coron Island - El Nido, départ le plus tot possible pour ne pas arriver tard
Jour 6, 7, 8, 9: EL Nido , excursions, plage, snorkelling, archipel de Bacuit
Jour 10 : Trajet El Nido - Puerto Princesa, nuit à PP voir 1 jour complet
Jour 11 : Vol pour Boracay ( Caticlan )
Jour 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 : BOracay , plage, excursions
Jour 17: Boracay ( Caticlan ) - Manille
Que dites vous de ce planning? Pensez vous que je doive allonger les durées ou ajouter quelque chose, il y a surement des choses auxquelles je n'ai pas pensées
Il n'y a pas de choses que je tiens à faire particulièrement, j'ai juste envie d'en prendre plein les yeux, profiter de la plage et du paysage.
Et aussi, j'ai la manie de toujours trimballer ma valise.... je me dis que ça risque de me prendre la tete si je bouge sans arrêt
juste 2 reflexions. pour le trajet coron el nido, ca m etonnerait que tu aies le choix des horaires. as tu verifie que les vols puerto p/boracay existent ? sinon tu prends ton temps, c est bien
Merci pour ta réponse Cottetcottet, il semble qu'il y ait des liaisons quotidiennes d'après ce que j'ai lu dans un autre post. Mais il semble aussi qu'il faille réserver à l'avance ... j'ai posté dans le sujet en question, je verrai bien.
Pour ce qui est des vols PP / Boracay, avec escale de quelques heures, mais ce n'est pas un problème.
En parcourant le forum, j'ai vu que les temps de trajet étaient assez longs et fatigants; c'est pour cela que je reste quelques jours pour profiter et me reposer, je ne veux pas que ce soit la course.
Grace aux autres posts, mon itinéraire est bouclé je pense; il ne me reste plus qu'à booker les vols et hotels. En parlant d'hotels, j'aimerais trouver un ptit bungalow sur la plage. J'ai vu que l'on parlait du KRISTAL LODGE à Coron, y en a t il aussi à El Nido, je n'ai pas réussi à voir .
Par contre, est ce un problème si je me présente aux douanes qu'avec un aller simple? J'aurai bien entendu mon billet de sortie du territoire mais je m'interroge tout de même.
Et aussi, le poids des bagages est limité sur tous les vols intérieurs ? Parce que ma valise pèse 20 kilos, voir plus !!

lorsque tu prendras ton vol intérieur, tu as une option qui te permets de choisir la quantité de bagages que tu veux emmener
au pire, tu géreras ça à l'aéroport, faut pas que tu t'inquietes avec ça
mon premier voyage aux phils, j'avais emmené trop de trucs inutiles et j'avais une valise de 27kg avec le matos plongée :D
Merci Searil , j ai fait une simulation sur Cebu Pacific et en effet je peux choisir le poids que je souhaite emporter. Je verrai au moment de ma resa pour les bagages.
Je fais une partie de ton trajet mais dans le sens inverse.

J'ai prévu 10 jours au total sans compter le jour du départ. Perso j'ai décidé de rester un peu moins longtemps à El nido pour allé voir Port barton ! :) J'en entendu beaucoup de bien !
Pour le trajet PP jusque El nido (en passant par port barton), je loue une moto a PP que je rends à el nido. Je sais pas si ça t'intéresse de faire de la moto mais je pense que c'est quand même le top d'être libre de ses horaires et déplacements. Si tu choisis cette solution, je te conseil plutot un gros sac à dos 15, 20 kilo max ! :) A vérifier si les loueurs offrent cette possibilité dans les deux sens .
Dernier point intéressant si tu veux gagner un peu de temps sur tes trajets. Il existe une liaison Coron - PP en bateau de nuit. C'est pas très confo (pas du tt), tu rate le paysage mais tu gagnes une journée ! (8h de bateau minimum). En plus, c'est folko, tu voyage avec le bétail :D D'après ce que l'on m'a dit, il y a un départ une fois par semaine le dimanche à minuit .

Faire le trajet en moto avec la valise ne me dit trop rien mais il est prévu de louer pour visiter les alentours
Port Barton n'est pas prévu au programme , je vais peut etre l'insérer , je n'y avais pas pensé.
Je suis vraiment coincé pour acheter mes billes de vols internes car je ne sais pas dans quel ordre faire mon itinéraire, je connais mes points de chute mais j'aurai besoin de vous pour l’enchaînement.

je suis actuellement a Boracay, pour le vol sur caticlan, ce sont des petits avions ou tu ne peux prendre que 5 kgs en cabine et 20 kgs en soute.
Sinon tu as la solution d'aller sur kalibo, le vol est nettement moins cher, ou tu peux prendre 7 kgs en cabine, et d'avantage en soute avec un petit supplement que tu prends en meme temps que le billet sous forme de forfait pour 30 kgs. Mais de kalibo a caticlan tu as 1h30 de taxi ( collectif env 2 h, ou van privé plus confortable et plus rapide pour env 1500 pesos..à toi de negocier)
Il faut savoir que les vols sur caticlan sont souvent annulés et repportés, c'est pénible....c'est pour cela que je passe par kalibo maintenant.
Quand aux excursions a Boracay....il n'y en a pas beaucoup !! l'ile est petite, quelques belles ballades, mais surtout des activités, et la plage.
Pour dormir, privilegie station 3, moins chere, plus familiale, et surtout plus calme !!
station 2 c'est la fête, la musique une bonne partie de la nuit.

Au final j'ai pris un billet pour Kalibo. J'en avais marre d'etre dans l'incertitude, maintenant j'ai le billet et je sais ou aller, me rest encore le billet de sortie des Philippines et je serai opé!!

Salut nabb a el nido tu trouveras ou te loger sans problème on avait trouver sur place en montant dans un tuk tuk qui nous faisai le tour du village on avait opter pour Katrina résidence à 5 min de la plage propre et sympa.nous sommes resté 6 jours la bas avons fait les 4 excursions possibles à, b, c et d et 2 jours à la plage d à côté las cabanas.
Après pour la suite on était parti sur bohol et siquijor.
Ps: excepter le 1 er vol interne les autres jles prenait sur place pour avoir une certaine liberté
pour les hôtels, je verrai sur place, là j'ai mes billets c'est le principal.
j'arrive le 1 mars à Manille, le 3 j'ai le vol pour Busuanga, je pense y rester 2 jours. Le 6 je prends le bateau pour El Nido. Normalement, j'ai prévu faire une "croisière" le 9,10 et 11 dans les Bacuit avec nativ exploration palawan. Le 12, direction Puerto Princesa. Le 13 vol pour Kalibo, je reste quelques jours à Boracay. Après je sais pas, j'ai mon vol retour de Phuket vers Francfort le 9 avril. Je crois que je verrai une fois sur place ce que je ferai, là j'ai une partie du voyage de prévu, je reprendrai le billet pour la Thailande sur place, comme ça j'aurai encore la liberté de rester aux Phil et de rebouger .

Alors voici un petit compte rendu de mon voyage aux Philippines, n'ayant pas eu trop le temps de le faire plus tôt.
Je suis resté aux Philippines du 1 au 21 mars. J'ai passé 2 jours à Manille à mon arrivée et 2 de plus avant le départ. J'ai pu visiter Intramuros, le zoo, le parc Rizal. Je me suis aussi pas mal balladé. J'ai séjourné au Baywatch tower, petit appart dans Malate.
Bien que la ville soit immense, cela vaut la peine d'y passer quelques jours. Personnellement j'ai apprécié.
Après Manille je suis allé sur Busuanga island. Je n'avais rien booké, juste repéré des hôtels sur internet et j'y suis allé en taxi pour faire mon choix.
J'ai passé 3 nuits là bas, 1 nuit à l'hôtel Coron Getaway Hotel & Suites (2500 pesos)et 2 à l'Amphibiko (2400 pesos)
J'ai préféré le second hotel qui était sur pilotis.
Pour ce qui est des visites, j'ai tout pris chez William que j'ai rencontré dans son resto, un gars vraiment sympa. Malcapuya island, Siete Pecados, et d'autres dont j'ai oubliés le nom.
Après ces quelques jours j'ai pris le bateau pour El Nido, 7 heures de traversée dans une mer calme.
Arrivée à El Nido, j'ai retrouvé un gars que William m'avait présenté. Comme ça faisait plusieurs mois qu'il était à El Nido, il m'a fait faire le tour des hotels parce que j'avais rien booké là aussi.
Après plusieurs hôtels j'ai trouvé une chambre au Spider Pension ( 700 pesos) situé au bord de la plage, magnifique ! Seul bémol peut être le fait qu il soit juste à côté du Pukka Bar, moi ça ne m'a pas dérangé car j'avais une vue terrible sur les falaises et la mer.
Pour manger, pas mal de restos aussi le long de la plage. Et pour les fumeurs de chichas comme moi, il y a le Habibi sur la plage.
Niveau soirée, il y a donc le Pukka Bar, et une autre boîte avec pratiquement que des locaux. Donc sur ce qui est de la vie nocturne c'est pas très animée.
Là aussi je me suis balladé et visité, plage de Las Cabanas, une autre plage immense et déserte dont je me souviens plus le nom. Il y a aussi possibilité de louer un kayak et partir sur les îles à côté.
Pour quitter El Nido, j'ai pris le bus de nuit jusque Puerto Princesa (370), là bas j'ai attendu au mac do puis je suis allé à l'aéroport.
Après cela je suis allé à Boracay, et là je m'attendais vraiment à autre chose. Bref c'est pas ce que j'ai le plus aimé. Là encore je n'avais rien booké, j'ai tourné un moment avant de trouver un hôtel qui me convenait, le Nikko Palace (900 pesos)
De retour à Manille, je suis resté à l'hôtel inswangsan à Makati (2000 pesos) avant de repartir.
Bilan du voyage, que du positif, j'ai vraiment aimé les Philippines, j'y retournerai dès 2015 en modifiant quelques détails ( sac à dos et plus de valise, je n'achèterai plus mes billets avant le départ..)

1/ oui j'ai eu l'occasion de faire du snorkelling à plusieurs endroits, à chaque fois toutes les conditions étaient réunis pour que ce soit parfait. J'en ai fait au cours des excursions lorsque j'étais à Coron Island, pendant les 3 jours d'excursions dans l'archipel des Bacuits. Par contre, je ne saurai pas trop dire tous les endroits... j'ai oublié les noms !
2/je crois que tu ne peux en faire que pendant les excursions dans les îles, à confirmer par les pros. Pour ma part je n'en ai fait qu'au cours de ces excursions.
Pour les plages aux eaux calmes, je peux te conseiller la plage de Las Cabanas sur El Nido et la plage de El Nido.

Mais la journée y a de quoi faire, même si je suis resté qu'à la white beach. Et j'ai trouvé aussi que c'était cher par rapport aux autres endroits où j'étais avant. Un des seuls points positifs c'était ma chicha le soir !
Sinon attention à pas vous faire arnaquer pour une soi disant cascade ! Celle où je suis allé c'était vraiment nase, à moins qu'il y en ait une digne de ce nom.
7/prochain voyage, je ne sais pas trop; j'ai très envie de retourner aux Phils mais cette fois j'y resterai plus longtemps. Sinon je pense que ces prochaines années ce sera Vietnam, Cambodge, Malaysie... avec toujours un petit crochet en Thailand !!

J'étais en Malaisie en mai, j'ai trouvé les gens adorables, la nourriture excellente et il y a de très jolis coins : forêt et îles. Mais je pense que les îles des Philippines sont plusieurs crans au-dessus ;)

I’m planning a trip to Laos and have received several quotes. Among them, this agency’s seem very reasonable, and so far, the interactions have been positive.
I’ve found a few positive reviews online, but I’d love to hear from travelers who’ve actually booked with them: how’s the organization, guide quality, accommodations, on-the-ground responsiveness, etc.

First stop on our discovery of the peninsula: Amphawa. It’s our first night in Thailand (we arrived at Suvarnabhumi at 8:50 AM).
Our initial plan was to explore the area before heading further south. The Mae Klong Railway Market is tempting... but what else is there to do????
We’ll be there on a Wednesday, and from what I’ve read on the forum, some say there’s absolutely nothing to do during the week—no floating market, barely any shops open, no restaurants, etc.
Others, though, say the place is actually more charming without the weekend crowds.
Could you share your thoughts? Missing the floating market is one thing, but if it’s really a ghost town on Wednesdays, I might just drop our bags somewhere else.
Amphawa seemed like a good first stop, just 1.5 hours from the airport, but I’d still like to settle somewhere a bit lively for our first evening.
We’ll be there at the end of October.

I didn’t plan to return to Thailand this year, but my health conditions mean it’ll be the best place for me to stay between two trips to India. The tourism setup there is so well-organized that it’s the most "comfortable" country for a short visit. Thailand feels too sanitized for my taste, and there’s too much religion, Buddha, and the King, but it’s still the best option given how my health has been evolving. I’d considered two weeks in ThaTon for hiking, but I got too sick from the burn-offs during my trips to the mountains around Chiang Rai. So I’m not sure where to go this year. Definitely not the sea, touristy spots, or the mountains with burn-offs...

After 1 night in Khao Sok, I’d like to find a 2 Days 1 Night package on the lake.
After reading a lot, I decided to "break the bank" and treat ourselves to a private tour—mainly to avoid the crowds.
But after contacting several operators, they offer "private tours" that are very expensive (around 700 €), yet in the details, the boats can only leave from the pier at 10 AM like everyone else. (I was hoping to leave much earlier.) The morning program is the same for everyone too (private or not). They drop us off at noon at our floating hotel (I’d chosen Phupha Waree). Free afternoon (swimming or kayaking in front of the hotel). We head back by boat for a 1-hour sunset ride. And the next morning, we leave the hotel at 8 AM to be at the pier by 9:30 AM at the latest—end of the trip.
So basically, we’re paying a lot for a private tour just to do the same thing as everyone else at the same time.
Or maybe I just had bad luck in my search.
I contacted Panida Ladi, who’s very popular on forums. We’d agreed on a private tour that matched my request (departure from the pier at 8 AM, very personalized itinerary). We settled on the itinerary and price, she asked for a Wise transfer for a 30% deposit, confirmed receipt of the deposit. Then 30 minutes later, she messaged me to say she was canceling everything because it was impossible to do the requested tour—and promised a quick refund of my deposit.
So here’s my question: Who’s done a *real* private tour on this lake? Who can recommend a reliable agency? Is it even really possible to do a private tour here?

I'm planning to visit Cambodia this winter, right after Christmas, for my first solo trip and my first trip to Asia. For two weeks (yes, I know it's short, but I really can't do more...). I have two main desires: Siem Reap and the countryside, the villages, the Mekong...
What do you think of this itinerary? Arrival in Siem Reap, departure from Phnom Penh.
SR: 5 days (1 day for arrival, 3 for the temples, 1 for the lake and its villages)
Kratie (stop on the way to Mondolkiri): 3 days (1 day of travel, 2 days there)
Mondolkiri/Sen Monorom: 4 days (1 day of travel, 1 day there, 2 days of treks)
PP: 3 days (1 day of travel, 2 days of sightseeing)
I think I need to cut one day somewhere if I travel from Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday. In Kratie, maybe? Or in PP? And I'll miss the boat trip that everyone recommends (SR-Battambang), but I don't see where to fit it in. Unless I do a PP-PP loop starting in the east, skip Kratie or just stay one night, then SR, then PP.
In my timing, Mondolkiri seems closer than Ratanakiri, which also tempted me a lot! Will it be too complicated alone? I'm thinking of using local guides or a small local agency for a nature and village getaway.
I've read that Siem Reap is very crowded between Christmas and New Year's. I could also do the circuit in the opposite direction. But I thought it would be easier to get familiar with the country by arriving in a touristy area—I might be wrong...

I’m planning a family trip (my wife and I, both 47, and our two sons, aged 5 and 12) to Malaysia for the last week of June and the first two weeks of July 2027.
We used to love road trips as a couple, then as a trio, but since our second child arrived, we’ve taken a break with "camping village" style trips.
Now feels like the right time to get back to our old habits, while adjusting the pace for the kids.
We’re craving Asia. We’ve been lucky enough to visit Thailand, Indonesia (Bali and Lombok), and Sri Lanka before.
Friends have raved about Malaysia, so we’re definitely tempted.
For those who know and love Malaysia, what would be a good itinerary starting from Kuala Lumpur, with a maximum of 3-4 stops? We’d like a mix of culture, nature, and relaxation (just to clarify, we’re not big beach fans). All of this without rushing, of course.

We’re a family of four with two teens aged 16 and 18. We’re heading to Thailand this summer. We’ll arrive in Bangkok and plan to take a flight to Luang Prabang.
I’ve seen there are some great visits and excursions to do (temples, markets, waterfalls) and maybe even venture a bit north to places like Nong Khiaw, Muang Xay, Muang Ngoy, or Oudom Xay.
But I’ve also heard about the Bokeo region with the Gibbon Experience.
Since we won’t be able to do everything, I’d love to hear about your experiences, impressions, and advice on the two options I’m considering, especially since we’ll be meeting family in Chiang Mai, Thailand, afterward.
Option 1: A loop from Luang Prabang heading slightly north, then a flight from Luang Prabang to Chiang Mai.
Option 2: A few days in Luang Prabang, exploring within a few dozen kilometers around, then heading to Bokeo province for the 2-day/1-night Gibbon Experience. For this option, I saw on Rome2Rio that it’s possible to book a ferry trip on the Mekong from Luang Prabang to Huay Xay—they mention about 8 hours. But is that realistic? What type of boat is it?
Then, to get to Chiang Mai, there aren’t many options—bus or minivan—but how does crossing the border work?
Finally, for those of you who’ve been to Laos in August, what was the weather like?
We’ve already visited Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia during the same period over the past four years and weren’t really bothered by bad weather.

We’ll be arriving in Phnom Penh this coming January and we’re thinking of starting our trip with a stop in Kampong Cham, then Kratie.
After Kratie, we’re considering heading toward Siem Reap with a stop in Kampong Thom.
That said, I’m not really sure how long the Kratie–Kampong Thom journey might take or how complicated it is.
Does this stop on the way to Siem Reap seem like a good idea to you?
If we don’t visit the Sambor Prei Kuk site, are there still any walks or sights worth checking out in Kampong Thom?

Do you think it’s doable to leave Koh Phayam early enough to catch the 10 AM boat from Khura Buri to Koh Phra Thong? The next one isn’t until 4 PM, which would cost me a whole day.

Not long ago, I used to travel as a couple, but my husband has since passed away, and I’ve decided to set off again. The trip I took to Cambodia in January 2025 did me a world of good.
I’m now considering Thailand, a destination we never included in our plans because even 15 years ago, people said it was too touristy. Still, I’m thinking about the itinerary below, but I don’t feel up to arranging buses, trains, or guides on my own while I’m there. I’m looking for one or more drivers and have been in touch with an agency, but their offers are just copy-paste group tours that I don’t want.
So, if you have any contacts, experiences, or advice, I’d be so grateful if you’d share them with me. Here’s my rough plan:

I’m retired but in great physical shape. I’d rather go hiking than sit in hot springs with crowds of tourists who’ve all arranged meet-ups. I don’t want to spend a day at an elephant camp, and I don’t want to visit Karen villages.

After some research, we’re leaning toward Malaysia to combine nature/forests and paradise beaches. The idea is to introduce our kids to the country’s culture, nature, and wildlife.
We want a great trip but without splurging on luxury options like high-end lodges and resorts. We’re looking for comfort with a touch of authenticity—basically, a good middle ground.

2 days for rice terraces / activities (Tegallalang, Campuhan Ridge, Monkey Forest, Bird Park, coffee plantation, market (?), dance "pestacle," cooking class and/or spa)
1 day with a driver for the Temples (Pura Gunung Kawi, Tirta Empul Spring, Pura Mengening, Goa Gajah...)
- 2 nights in Sidemen (1 day for Pura Kehen + Batur Caldera + Pura Besakih and 1 day to relax in the rice terraces)
- 3 nights on Gili Meno (Rest and beaches) from Padangbai
- 2 nights in Amed (1 day from Padangbai with the Abang rice terrace and Tirta Gangga baths, and the next day a boat tour in Amed)
- 4 nights in Pemuteran (1 day for transfer and rest, 1 day to visit Kawah Ijen, and 2 days of snorkeling at Menjangan Island)
- 2 nights in Munduk (1 day with the Dayang rice terrace and the 3-waterfall hike, 1 day at Pura Ulun Danu Bratan)
- 2 nights in Jatiluwih (1 day in the rice terraces, and on the last day, we’ll stop by Pura Taman Ayun in Mengwi and Pura Tanah Lot before catching our red-eye flight).

- Kampot (round trip)
I'm wondering about the direction of these stops, which could also influence our international flights.
Either a round trip from Phnom Penh in the order above.
Or landing in Siem Reap with the following order:
This second option would save us the Battambang - PP - Kampot trip but means doing a round trip to Battambang from Siem Reap and placing the "highlight of the trip" (Angkor) at the beginning of our stay.
