J'ai prévu de partir en aout au Chili, Concepcion, pour un semestre dans le cadre d'un échange universitaire. Maintenant que le moment de me décider si je pars réellement ou pas est venu beaucoup de questions me viennent à l'esprit.
Est-ce que la ville est reconstruite depuis le séisme? Sera-il possible de trouver un logement (ou trop d'immeubles sont-ils toujours détruits). Je cherche plutôt à vivre dans une colocation, est-ce que l'un de vous ne chercherait pas une colocatrice? :-)
Est-ce que quelqu'un sait si le couvre feu est toujours en vigueur?
Et finalement, est ce que l'un d'entre vous aurait des infos au sujet de l'Université là bas? Et sinon au sujet de la vie en général, pensez-vous qu'il y a des précautions particulières à prendre? Par exemple pour une femme seule étrangère pensez-vous que certains endroits de la ville sont à éviter? Il y a-t-il beaucoup d'étrangers qui vivent à Concepcion?

Je pars comme toi étudier à Concepcion, pour 1 an (je pars fin juillet). D'après ce que je sais, la fac est en bon état, sauf le département de physique où il y a eu un incendie. Globalement, je crois qu'en ville il y a bien des dégâts, et le prix des loyers a du coup augmenté, mais rien d'absolument affolant non plus. En fait les habitations ont plutôt bien résisté par rapport à la violence du choc, mais évidemment ils n'ont pas pu tout reconstruire en 4 mois!
Ne t'en fais pas par rapport à la ville, il y a des quartiers plus ou moins craignos comme partout, mais d'après ce qu'on m'a dit, il y a plutôt une bonne ambiance à Concepcion, et on a quand même l'habitude de voir des étrangers, qqs étudiants et au moins les touristes qui transitent par là pour rejoindre le sud du pays.
Perso j'y vais avec une amie et on aimerait bien faire une colocation avec des chiliens, ou d'autres étrangers...Si tu veux me contacter pr plus d'infos en attendant n'hésite pas!

Je pars moi aussi normalement au Chili à concepcion l'an prochain dans le fameux département de physique ravagé... mais seulement pendant un semestre ( de Février à Août). Je pense aussi faire une colloc' et j'aurais voulu savoir si vous comptiez planifier les choses à l'avance ou vous mettre à la recherche de votre collocation sur place? Vos conseils m'intéresseraient beaucoup étant donné que vous serez sur place avant moi!

Perso j'ai trouvé une pension qui va me servir de point de chute en arrivant et de là je vais chercher un logement.

Je vais aussi aller étudier à Concepcion à partir de mars 2011. Pour ma part je me pose plutôt pas mal de questions quant au visa étudiant. Je viens de Belgique donc les conditions ne sont peut-être pas les mêmes mais déjà je le trouve très cher, 245€ d'après le consulat en Belgique, est-ce pareil pour vous?
Ensuite, j'ai un gros problème concernant le délai de 90 jours pour rentrer sur le territoire après l'obtention du visa étant donné que j'effectue entre septembre 2010 et janvier 2011 un stage obligatoire au Pérou. Mon visa ne sera donc plus valable au moment de mon arrivée!
J'ai envoyé un mail à l'université pour savoir si ce visa était obligatoire mais pas de réponse...
Est-ce que vous avez déjà entamé vos démarches? Est-ce qu'il est obligatoire? L'université contrôle-t-elle ce document?
J'ai entendu qu'un étudiant en échange au Brésil avait été renvoyé dans son université d'origine car il n'avait pas ce document...

Je suis à peu près dans le même cas, j'arrive fin février à concepcion pour 6 mois d'études à l'université. J'ai du mal à trouver une colocation. Je cherchais avec mon copain pour début mars et on a un peu galérer, disons qu'il faut mettre le prix pour trouver un truc sympa... Les proprio exagèrent un peu les prix des loyers depuis le tremblement de terre. Y'a pas mal de pensions mais d'après les étudiants c'est pas toujours aussi drôle qu'il n'y parait, pas moyen de faire la fête, ...

Comment est la ville, et l'ambiance universitaire? Les étrangers sont-ils bien acceptés? Y a-t-il moyen de trouver un logement pas trop cher? La ville est-elle sûre ? Et comment est le climat? J'ai vu qu'il faisait chaud mais qu'il pleuvait beaucoup...
La ville de Concepcion n'est pas super belle et l'ambiance est bien mais pas non plus extraordinaire comme dans une capitale ou une ville comme Valparaiso. Par contre l'université est vraiment le point fort de l'endroit, ce qui rend l'échange intéressant. D'après les chiliens que j'ai rencontré, c'est le seul vrai campus universitaire du Chili. Et c'est vrai qu'il est impressionnant et qu'il en jète! En plus c'est une très bonne unif, le personnel est super sympa (pour ce que j'ai pu en voir jusque là) et on y trouve tout un tas d'activités.
Donc le campus est agréable ainsi que la plaza peru, remplie de cafés et restos sympa, juste à côté de l'unif.
L'immobilier est malheureusement particulièrement cher ici à cause des tremblements de terre. Pour te donner une idée je paie 240 euros tcc mais l'appart est dément, tout neuf, tout meublé, tout équipé, télé écran plat ds la chambre, slb en suite, salle de sport ds l'immeuble et concierge. Faut bien chercher parce que y'a pas mal d'immeuble effrayants, vetustes, insalubres, ... Pour un prix à peine plus élevé tu changes totalement de catégorie.
Sinon la ville est sûre comme toute les villes, elle n'a pas une mauvaise réputation mais tu vas pas n'importe où le soir, rien de spécial de ce côté là.
Côté climat, paraît qu'il pleut beaucoup, il se fait que jusqu'à mnt je n'ai vu que Concepcion sous le soleil mais la ville n'est pas réputée pour ça en tout cas, au contraire :)
Mais franchement pour les belges ça change pas grand chose, je crois que c'est pire chez nous!
Je recommande la ville car un avantage indéniable, dont je parlais encore ac mon colloc français, c'est que la localisation de la ville permet aussi de découvrir plein d'endroits géniaux en Amérique Latine! On a tous les deux eu l'occasion de découvrir toute l'Argentine, le Chili et bientôt le Pérou et la Bolivie!
