En 2008, on est parti de Oran (Algérie) pour aller au Mali et puis remonté par la Mauritanie. On avait pris nos visas en France (coûteux).
Cette année, je pars le 27 janvier de Séte pour aller vendre des voitures (plus pour le fun que pour le bizzness) une 405 break et une mercedes 300 d (123T) break.

Peut-on rentrer au Maroc avec des cartes grises barrées avec actes de vente?
Quelqu'un connaîtrait un garagiste cool à Tanger pour bosser sur nos voitures la 405 demande une sérieuses révisions.
Les voitures ne sont pas à nos noms, mais pas C.G. barrée, il faut que je fasse une procuration pour passer les frontiéres et bien sur j'ai un acte de vente Français. Cela suffit-il??
Peut-on prendre les visas pour la Mauritanie et le Mali sur la route? : entre temps j'ai trouver en cherchant pas de réponse à ma questions sur les visas, nous partons sans visa et on verra aux frontières.

Et enfin, nous sommes 2 à partir chacun dans une voiture, nous cherchons à partir de Séte le 27 janvier 2009 ou au Maroc jusqu'au 8 février un passager(e) par voiture Participation au frais de base (gasoil) voyage tranquille pas plus de 400 à 500 km par jour et des haltes souhaitées arrivé à bamako vers le 15 Février (à voir).
Je ne suis pas un vendeur de voiture, mais je connais bien l'itinéraire pour le faire tout les ans !!
Oui c'est possible d'avoir les visas aux frontières
Mauritanie = 20 € pour le visa de 15 jour (entrée simple) pas d'alcool dans le véhicule + assurance Mauritanienne pour le véhicule (pour la durée de la traversé du pays
Mali = sur la route avant d'arriver à Nioro (en venant d'Ayoun el Atrous), il y a le poste frontière avec visa et assurance auto pour l'Afrique de l'ouest (douane : plus loin) !! il parait que le Mali exige la carte grise aux noms des conducteurs (c'est nouveaux) sinon il y a un truc a payer (?)
Les véhicules se vendent entre 1.000 et 1.500 €
Avec les papiers que tu as : la difficulté sera l'entrée au Maroc, voir le site des douanes du Maroc

Je pense que tu peux rentrer au Maroc avec les cartes grises barrés et les contrats de vente. Concernant le visa de Mauritanie (ou je vais souvent) tu ne peux l'avoir qu'à l'ambassade de Mauritanie à Rabat ils sont au 6, Rue Thami Lamdawar, Souissi, Rabat Tél 037-65-66-78, car le consulat de Casablanca a fermé tu dois payer un peu comme 200 Dhs (20Euros) et l'ambassade du Mali ils sont juste dans la meme rue leur numéro c'est 037-75-91-21. Concernant le mécano à Tanger desolé je ne connais personne, mais si tu veux qqun à Casablanca je peux te donner son numéro.
Alors à propos des prix des voitures, je te conseille de les vendre en Mauritanie ou bien au Mali car au Maroc les droits de douanes sont encore trop elevé, pour la mercedes ca depend de son état mais tu peux la vendre en Mauritanie entre 2000 et 3000 euros, ca dépend du kilométrage et de ces options, la 405 Break 😕 je ne sais pas si ca va etre une bonne affaire en Mauritanie, peut etre la vendre au Mali.
Avant d'oublier je te conseillerais de faire le plein de gasoil au sud Marocain(car il est subventionné par l'état à cause du Sahara) avant de rentrer en Mauritaniue, voir meme ramener avec toi tous ton gasoil 50L par voiture les douaniers ne diront rien, à lintérieur du Maroc c'est 10, 30 DHs/L =1, 3euros et c'est à partir du sud de la ville de Tan Tan jusqu'à la frontiére c'est 4, 81dhs/L = 0, 48euro/L
Dis moi pour ton voyage que t'as fais à partir d'Oran vers le Mali est ce que la frontiére est ouverte entre ces deux pays???
à la lecture de ton message, il m'est venu à l'idée de te solliciter pour acheminer des bagages m'appartenant de rabat à bamako. Ce sont essentiellement des effets vestimentaires et autres livres. Est ce que tu as de la place? ton trip est prévu pour quand ?

Pour traversé, cela ne fut pas simple, déjà pour avoir les visas.
Arrivé à Oran on nous a demandé d'être accompagné d'un guide. En fin de compte on a réussi a partir sans mais en signant une décharge s'engageant à prendre un guide après Timimoun ou on avait notre correspondant (obligatoire pour l'obtention des visas)
Nombreux barrage sur la route ou certain pénible (préparer ses fiches personnels cela fait gagner du temps).
Puis on est partit jusqu'à Reggane et la impossible de prendre la direction de borgh Moktar. La gendarmerie voulait bien nous laisser mais pas la police barrage à l'appui à la sortie du bled.
Du coup sur les conseils de la gendarmerie, on a prit la direction de Tamamrasset et on a été obligé de prendre un guide 100 € par jour et qui nous a compté 5 jours (3 jours pour l'aller et 2 jours pour le retours) pour aller à borgh Moktar. (agence Dider, je les conseils pas!!!)
Alors que l'on a mis 2 jours pour l'aller et le guide nous a stipulé qu'il mettait 1 journée pour revenir à Tam. (et bien sur on a payé d'avance....à ne pas faire....) et la enfin la frontière ou notre guide s'est occupé des papiers de sortie (3 heures).
Un grand avantage en Algérie le Gasoil est à 0, 17 € et nous on était avec un camion qui consommait, on a fait des réserve pour le Mali et enfin quand on arrive au Mali la vie africaine reprend son cour tranquille..... La solution c'est de prendre un guide à Adrar... voir cette agence:

On la fait mais enfin pas simple, on a croisé des allemand, suédois ... qui était en convoi de 5 4x4 accompagné d'un guide depuis la frontière tunisienne jusqu'à la frontière malienne....
Et des français qui faisait un mini-raid mais pareil avec un guide.
pour le Mali et la Mauritanie les recherche que j'ai fait me confirme que l'on peut avoir les visas à la frontière Maroc-Mauritanie et Mauritanie-Maroc. voir les réponses de Papymamy...

Je ne savais pas pour les visa, mais quand j'ai verifié comme t'as dis on peut avoir un visa d'entrée de 15 jours en Mauritanie à Nouadhibou. POur le Mali je n'ai pas l'info.
Pur aller l'Algérie et le MAli nous MArocain on n'a pas besoin de visa, mais si j'ai bien compris c'est tjr obligatoire d'avoir un guide sur la route?? Pourquoi?? la route n'est pas goudronnée??? A partir de Tamamrasset la route pour aller au Niger n'est pas goudronnée mais je ne crois pas que l'on puissent passe car rebelle touareg coté Niger et cela ne s'arrange pas, le nord du pays est tenu en parti par les rebelles?????
Et pour le guide en Algérie, il se peut que pour les marocains cela soit plus souple, je sais que les copains maliens qui vont en Algérie n'ont aucun problème. La raison invoqué par les autorités est que le pays n'est pas sur et il y eu par le passé des touristes qui se sont fait enlevé et d'autre qui se sont perdus..... La raison officieuse que l'on a eu c'est des histoire d'argent, les agences après la crise ont fait le forcing avec les autorités pour avoir ce revenu supplémentaire. A tam il y a une floppé d'agence qui vivent de ce passe droit....
Et pour les visas, ces la réponses du berger à la bergère: visas difficile pour les Algériens qui viennent en France et pour nous pareil... Fiche de paye, correspondant locale enregistré par les autorités, assurance......

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?
