Pour la 1ere demande de visa retraite, si tu mets 800.000 baht en arrivant en Thailande, il faut que l'argent soit sur le livret depuis 2 mois.
Ensuite quand tu feras le renouvellement de ton visa retraite (au bout d'un an), l'argent doit etre au moins 3 mois sur le livret.

Si tu comptes t'installer en Thailande, je te conseille de te faire immatriculer a l'ambassade (carte consulaire).
Ca te permet, entre autre, de faire renouveller ton passeport sans probleme.
J'ai lu que l'ambassade peut delivrer l'attestation de ressources (pour le visa retraite) par internet, donc ca pourrait t'eviter de mettre 800.000 baht sur un compte.
Certains consulats ne delivrent pas de visa d'un an.Il ne faut pas chercher a comprendre, ils font la pluie et le beau temps.
La raison est que tu n'as pas de compte en Thailande.

Le mieux tu ouvres un compte quand tu arrives, tu fais transferer l'argent. Et tu pourras demander le visa retraite a l'immigration une fois que l'argent sera sur le compte depuis 2 mois.Donc ne pas perdre de temps.

Desole de te contredire mais ca fait 7 ans que je demande le visa retraite a Chiang Mai et a part les 1900 baht de frais de visa, je n'ai jamais debourse un baht de plus.Pas plus d'ailleurs que mes connaissances qui font la meme demarche.

Coucou Jumbo ! Tu écris qu'on peut arriver sur Chiang Mai avec un visa touristique et le changer en visa non-immigrant (+ 1900 bahts) ... Peux-tu me le confirmer, sachant que nous passons chaque année entre 5 et 6 mois en Thaïlande et que mon mari a + de 50 ans ... Par contre, le Consulat de Lyon me dit qu'il délivre un visa "retraité" de 90 jours, à faire proroger à un poste frontière , ce qui ne nous intéresse pas (possibilité de le faire proroger à l'immigration ?) ... Quelles sont donc les possibilités pour 5 à 6 mois ?... Merci pour les réponses !

J'ai dit qu'on peut changer un visa touristique en visa non-immigrant dans le cas de figure où on demande un visa "retraite".
Pour ce qui est de ton cas, le mieux est de demander un visa touristique double entree, tu auras droit à 60 +30, tu sors de Thailande et tu reviens pour faire valider ta 2eme entrée, ce qui te donne 60 + 30. Total: approximaivement 180 jours.
D'abord ce n'est pas la police mais l'immigration.
Exact. Pour être parfaitement en règle, seul les services de l'immgration (comme dans tous les pays du monde) ont l'autorité de délivrer, valider ou refuser des visas.
Les flics n'ont AUCUN pouvoir en la matière.
Du reste, essayez de sortir du pays avec des documents qui ne seraient pas au goût de l'immigration, et avant de passer à la caisse, vous allez également passer un mauvais quart d'heure... L'immigration, un sujet très sensible au royaume du Siam.
