A Phuket je ne crois pas que cela soit bien nécessaire mais n'étant pas docteur je ne veux rien affirmer, a vérifier mais voir ICI par exemple. C'est aussi a vous de faire attention aux conditions sanitaires, de ne pas boire de l'eau en bouteille non fermée, d'éviter les glaçons non certains (eau bouillie ou stérilisée) , légumes ou fruits épluchés, etc. Par contre au niveau des soins Phuket est une île bien pourvue et les soins sont de bonnes qualité car il y a de nombreux étrangers résidents a l'année, entre autres raisons. Ne multipliez pas vos couvertures d'assurance mais contactez les pour savoir quelle est cette couverture a l'étranger pour être le mieux protéger (sécu, complémentaire, office de carte bancaire, etc...). Enfin bref, juste pour vous dire de partir tranquille, faites juste attention aux conditions météorologiques car ce n'est pas vraiment la meilleure saison et la mer peut-être plus agitée et dangereuse a cette période.

Si vous n'avez pas l'intention d'aller vivre dans la rue et si vos amis ont l'eau courante et l'électricité 😉, en prenant quelques précautions de base sur ce que vous mangerez dehors (mais vraiment de base), le risque est bien faible à Phuket.
Pour la trousse de secours, vous trouverez tout sur place, et si besoin à Phuket des hôpitaux de qualité internationale.
Ces hôpitaux vous réclameront des l'admission (et avant qu'un médecin ne jette un oeil sur vous) une garantie. Voyez si vous avez un contrat d'assistance (carte de crédit en particulier), son plafond de prise en charge (les soins peuvent être très chers), et si besoin prenez un contrat temporaire Europ Assistance, par exemple.
La Sécurité Sociale ne vous remboursera qu'au retour, sur facture, et après un certain délai, des frais que vous aurez avancé. Si vous avez quelques dizaines de milliers d'euros ou plus disponibles.... Europ Assistance ou équivalent fera l'avance de ces frais pour vous en cas d'hospitalisation (vous lui rendrez simplement les sommes que la Sécu vous versera quand vous les recevrez). Ca aide. Plus la prise en charge du rapatriement si besoin (et cela aussi, cela coûte cher)
Pour l'assistance, il n'est pas obligatoire de payer le vol par carte de crédit (cela concerne les assurances type annulation, retard). Par contre, une carte "plus" (Visa Premier ou Mastercard gold) est préférable.
Oui ca c'est sur 😄😏😄 mais sais-tu cher ornitho qu'une chambre couverte par une assurance pour un prix raisonnable dans un tel hôpital est deja une petite suite en soi et que tout est en place pour avoir un co-locataire comme ta femme ou un membre de ta famille? 😉

Je m'étonne vraiment que personne ne vous disent que juillet c vraiment pas la bonne saison pour aller à Phuket... vous auriez meilleur temps de choisir une ile du Golfe... d'autant que la mer à cette période est souvent agitée donc avec de jeunes enfants😕🤪

j'ai lu ton article et c'est bien intéressant... par contre tu conseilles de prendre de antipalusdisme🤪... tu devrais savoir que pour la thailande c totalement inutile. Pour attraper cette maladie il faut d'abord que le moustique pique une personne malade... or il n'y en a pas.... ni à bangkok, ni à phuket.....
le traitement est à conseiller seulement si on passe plus de 3 semaines par exemple près de la frontière birmane et en jungle...

A ma connaissance, la malarone est beaucoup plus puissant et provoque plus d'effets secondaires.

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...

The suspected origin is contamination in Namibia by jackals.
The contagion seems to be spreading.
Preventive vaccination (of the animals) is being considered.

It’s the bite that transmits the disease.
There are so-called "furious" forms with aggression, but also forms without aggression.
