salut merci a tous les menbres de vf de m' envoyer des infos ou leurs propre histoires de leurs débuts dans la vie d' expat a chiang mai, nous allons nous y installer avec ma femme début août pour un minimun de 3 années 😏 nous sommes ravi de ce projet, mais je ne cache pas une certaine anxiété même si je connais bien le pays pour l'avoir visiter une dixaine de fois (les vacances c'est pas le boulot!!!) je suis bien concient et bien content de la chance que nous avons de vivre une nouvelle aventure, mais quand même un peu en souci merci a tous de nous rassurer

je suis en train d'acheter un condo en ce moment puis je pense monter un business dans la restauration, mon boulot, p)our continuer à vivre et surtout pour avoir le work permit. Etant francais je me suis apercu en allant à l'alliance francaise qu'il y avait que des retraites, pas super pour moi qui est 38 ans.

Je trouve inadmissible de tels propos sur le forum, c'est tout simplement un manque de respect envers tous ceux qui aimablement donnent des conseils et avis sur l'ASE...
Ayez un peu plus de respect envers vos ainés, se sont eux qui sont la "mémoire" pour les jeunes générations....
A méditer lorsque vous en comprendrez le sens....

Donc c'est vrai que le profil retraités ne corresponds pas à mes attentes car ils n'ont pas les mêmes souçis en s'installant en Thailande. La vie d'expat est plus facile pour eux.

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
I believe it’s time to bring this space to life to meet pressing needs and serve the common good of society.
The project is simple:
1) Grow maize + build a processing plant to produce flour
2) Open a mini supermarket + a modern bakery using the flour for pastries, etc.
3) Build a healthcare service
4) Build a nursery and primary school
5) Construct free housing for retired expatriates in exchange for their voluntary contributions in their respective fields.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
