Hi there,

I’m spending a few days in Singapore, which I love. I was thinking about maybe heading to Tioman, but it’s a real hassle with the bus and ferry times—plus, you pretty much have to stay overnight in Mersing for safety. I also looked into Bintan, which seems pretty nice. You need a visa since it’s in Indonesia, and it’s a big, beautiful island. There’s even a Club Med, so it must be a decent spot. Tioman looks stunning in videos, but yeah… I’m still going back and forth on this one!

Hi Vanessa, Tioman is really small—only 130 km²—and there are hardly any roads. I went there a long time ago, and we stayed in two different spots. The coastline was stunning, but I felt a bit like a "prisoner in paradise" since we needed a boat for every move. Bintan is 88,000 km², and I’ve never been, but I’ve been looking into it recently because I’m heading to the area soon. Apparently, there are some gorgeous spots to explore, and it’s definitely much easier to access from Singapore. Have a great day! Christelle
