Je dois passer un entretien pour un travail à Saint-André. Rien est fait, puisqu'entretien ne signifie pas forcément qu'on a le poste...Toutefois, je commence à me renseigner sur ce coin. J'ai vu quelques posts à ce sujet, mais comme tout change vite là-bas j'ai l'impression, je voulais avoir quelques avis.
J'ai lu que Saint-André n'était pas la ville la plus fantastique (pas mal de pluie, voire insécurité ??) de l'île...mais qu'il n'était pas conseillé de vivre trop loin de son lieu de travail à cause des fameux embouteillages (que j'ai testés il y a 1 an d'ailleurs !!). Qu'en est-il exactement ? Est-il envisageable de vivre, pas exemple, vers Saint-Denis, coté Est ou est ce que c'est déjà la panique en voiture le matin ? Ou plutôt vivre carrément à Saint-Benoît ? Comment est cette ville ?
Question pluie, on lit qu'il y pleut tous les jours...Mythe ou réalité ?!? Puisque s'il pleut 3 gouttes tous les jours, c'est pas pire qu'autre chose...
Bref, je lis tellement de trucs peu encourageants que je reste dubitatif, et je remercie donc tous ceux qui connaissent ce coin de me donner leurs avis éclairés. J'ai quand même bien envie d'aller là-bas pour quelques temps 😉

C'est vrai que St André, ce n'est pas ce qu'il y a de plus reluisant à La Réunion... c'est même plutôt un peu "la zone".
Pour ce qui est de la circulation, le matin les bouchons sont plutôt en direction de St Denis, donc si vous y habitez, ça devrait aller (logiquement...). Il vaut mieux habiter St Denis que St Benoît, à mon avis : grande ville, + de choses à faire. St Benoît, y a pas grand chose, vous allez vite tourner en rond. Il y a qd même tt pr vivre (gdes surfaces....)
Quant au climat, ce n'est pas pour rien que la Côte au Vent est si verte et tapissée de champs de cannes... De ce côté là, pas de plages mais des bassins qu'il faut aller chercher à l'intérieur des terres (bon à savoir pour agrémenter les WE). On est aussi aux portes du Cirque de Salazie, très vert lui aussi, on se demande pourquoi... Mais charmant si on prend la peine de s'y enfoncer.
Pour info, depuis St Denis, la 1° plage est à 30 km vers l'ouest (Boucan Canot).

Si c'est possible de vivre à Saint-Denis, ça me rassure un peu. Pas que j'aime les grandes villes, mais quand il y a quelques sorties à faire, c'est pas plus mal ! La proximité avec Salazie sera sympa, car lors de mon séjour là-bas j'ai plus vu Mafate et Cilaos. Mais étant plongeur, je risque de passer plus de temps vers Saint-Leu !!

Bonjour en effet si tu aimes la pluie tous les jours alors à l'Est.Je pense qu'être à Saint-Denis c'est bien , un peu plus animée.Pour le trajet le matin les gens viennent dans l'autre sens de l'Est sur Saint-Denis donc en allant vers l'Est le matin pas un problème.Tu as aussi un service de Cars , les Cars Jaunes .
J'ai vécu 2 ans à la Run, et j'habitais St Denis pour les besoins du boulot. Ville agréable, tout pour vivre, mais qui ne vit pas le soir sauf si on connait les bons endroits (disons que ça vit un peu mais dans la discrétion). En fait tout ferme à 18h et les rues se vident, en même temps que le jour se couche (hiver). Saisissant !
Une 4 voies file vers l'est donc pas de pbl pour aller travailler à St André le matin : les bouchons sont dans l'autre sens !

Difficile de te répondre;restauration, ça a l'air de pas mal marcher;les bons coins , d'après moi, le sud, l'ouest.Franchement, ce st les coins les plus sympas de l'île.Sinon, prècise tes demandes .Slt;
