je suis étudiante et je voudrai partir en irlande deux / trois mois de juin à aout 2008. je ne souhaite pas passer par un organisme car cela me parait trop cher. Je suis juste à la recherche de personnes qui auraient des bons plans pour le logement et job, ou qui chercherait comme moi une colocation pour la même période. Galwa me parait être une ville plutôt agréable, mais je ne suis pas fermée sur la destination.

Je compte partir également en Irlande cet été, soit pour une période de 1 mois (dans ce cas je ne travaillerai pas) ou soit, une période de 2 mois (dans ce cas, j'aimerai travailler le mois de Juillet dans la pays). J'ai 17ans et j'aurai 18 ans en avril....J'y vais surtout pour avoir une première experience puis pour apprendre l'anglais.Voila tout !

D'après ce que j'ai compris, le plus dure a trouver est le logement. Pour le boulot, tu peut trouver sur place facilement dans la restauration ou les trucs comme ça.

J'ai déja regardé le prix des logements et Galway parait plus abordable que Dublin, et on y trouve du boulot plus facilement, surtout que l'été il y a un festival d'art qui attire des touristes.

Je ne sais pas si c'est possible de loger en chambre universitaire, je sais que sa peut se faire en passant par les Universités d'été mais ça coûte en général près de 1000€ le mois. Est-qu'il peut y avoir des annonces de propriétaires qui louent des chambres universitaires l'été à des étudiants étrangers ? Concernant le travail j'ai entendu dire que c'était la galère pour trouver un job, je ne sais pas si c'est possible d'en trouver un par le biais de L'ANPE, là aussi si quelqu'un à des infos je suis preneur. Je ne me suis pas renseigné sur l'ecosse. L'irlande est encore abordable, mais évite peut être Dublin, car maintenant tout est blindé. Vise peut être Cork ou Galway, qui ont plus de charme (d'après ce que l'on dit). Il y a des organismes pour trouver du boulo. Mais ces organismes proposent svt des boulo qui nécéssitent un miimum de compétences et d'experiences, si ton niveau d'anglais est bon ca devrait aller, mais sinon vise plutot les job dans les pub et les bars; et dans ce cas là c'est plus facile dans les villes de campagne comme Cork et Galway.
Comme je ne suis pas (encore) allé en Irlande, je ne peux pas te garantir tout ce que je viens de te dire, mais je me suis assez renseigné.

pour combien de temps comptes tu y rester? moi, je compte au moin six mois pour aprendre au mieux la langue et puis apres j'ai d'autres projet... ecosse par exemple... smile
je chercherai sur place un job en restauration ou dans un hotel puis prendre quelque cours du soir ... je verrai...

Je me suis déjà renseigné a propos de l'organisation grace a une assos, basée a toulouse qui aide les jeunes dans leurs projet de voyage. Je pars fin juin et rentre (hé oui) début septembre, les 2 premieres semaines je logerai dans une auberge de jeunesse et puis chercherai une coloc la bas, tout en recherchant du boulot aussi... La ville qui me plait le plus est Cork...
Tout ce récit parce que je recherche maintenant un coéquipier, avec qui faire la route, partager les galères, et les bons moments!! 😄

Bjr, j'ai lu ton post ici et sachant que tu vas avoir ton bac pro, tu peux trouver un très bon job bien rémunéré très facilement en passant par hoteljobs. C'est un avantage car tu n'auras pas à chercher de logement ou de jobs sur place, tu pars avec tout trouvé c'est pratique.
En réponse à tous les autres, Galway est une ville super (un grand village plutôt !). Pour des vacances ou pour y vivre c'est génial, et en effet y'a plein de collocs abordables et correctes pas trop loin du centre ville (qui est de toutes façons bien desservi). Pour se perfectionner en anglais par contre c'est pas la meilleure puisqu'il y a full de français à chaque coin de rue (ou coin de pub!), et deux mois c'est juste pas possible sachant que vous n'allez que parler français au début ! Je voudrais dire aussi sans passer pour la rabat-joie de service, qu'il n'est pas si facile de trouver un job dans la restau à Galway. Et qu'il faut partir avec un max d'argent, car le coût de la vie est quand même bien plus élevé qu'en france. Pour trouver une colloc faut quand même savoir parler anglais un minimum pour déchiffrer les annonces et puis pour parler au propriétaire au téléphone, mais avec ça c'est vrai qu'on trouve facilement un appart en une journée !
Au niveau des jobs à Galway, qui est une ville avec tout plein de jeunes, les jobs dans les pubs sont vite pris par les irishs. Et les arrières sont aussi déjà bien occupées par les amis de l'Est. Donc je le redis ayez de l'argent d'avance pour éviter les désillusions.
A part ça, vous allez adorer ! J'y ai été de pour quelques mois en fév. 2005 et finalement je ne suis revenue qu'en novembre l'année dernière après trois saisons ! Ce coin est vraiment beau et l'Irlande c'est effectivement sur place l'idée qu'on s'en fait (convivialité etc...) J'ai aussi vécu à Monaghan, Dublin et dans le Tipperary.
trouver un job à Dublin c'est plus facile qu'à Galway mais se loger, c'est une autre histoire, surtout quand il faut allonger la caution !

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
