Encore un nouveau cas de calcul de visa de touriste...
Je suis arrivé en touriste à São Paulo, après des heures à faire des calculs Excel sur les visas en sillonnant tous les forums, en pensant que tout était bon.
Donc si je résume on a droit à une première salve de 90j de présence + 90 jours en allant à la PF avant fin de cette salve, si tout se passe bien.
Voici mon cas:
Voyage réparti en deux fois:
1/
Arrivée le 25/02/11
Départ le 06/04/11 -> total 41 jours sur les 90 accordés.
2/ Je suis revenu le 18/04/11, retour prévu le 08/09/11, soit 144 jours
TOTAL prévu : 185 jours - je compte faire deux weekends hors territoire pour arriver tout pile à 180.
Sur mon nouveau papier tamponné (seulement) avec le passeport du 18/04/11, il est indiqué CL 01 DOC 03, 90 dias...
Donc le doute m'habite...
En théorie, javais le droit à 90 jours répartis en 41 jours + 49 jours à partir du 18/04/11, ce qui m'emmenait jusqu'au 05/06/11 avant de faire ma demande à la PF, en ajoutant les 11 jours d'absence (25 février +41j +11j+49j = 06/06/11)
Avec cette nouvelle donne de 90 jours à compter du 18/04/11:
- dois-je attendre la fin de ces nouveaux 90 jours pour faire ma demande, soit le 16/07/11? Donc ont-ils oubliés les 41 premiers jours ou m'ont-ils enlevé les 49 restants de la première partie du voyage?
- dois je me fier à mon premier calcul qui me disait de faire la démarche avant le 05/06/11?
- Enfin, dans l'un ou l'autre cas, puis-je tenter de sortir du territoire pour qu'à nouveaux 90 jours soient autorisés ou alors la démarche à la PF semble indispensable?

En revenant le 18/04/2011 il te restait au titre de l'ancien séjour 50 jours, ensuite tu pourra peut être avoir 90 jours de mieux, mais rien n'est dit .....dont en principe tu devais sortir du pays le 8/06/2011 au plus tard, mais avec le tampon de mis sur ton passeport en arrivant le 18/04, cela vient contredire cette règle et tu as jusqu'au 18 juillet 2011 de séjour autorisé
par contre je crains que quelques jours avant le 18 juillet (puisque la démarche doit être faite au moins 5 jours avant) tu ne puisse obtenir d'extension de séjours pour une période au maximum de 90 jours ....car si tu tombe sur quelqu'un qui examinera ton passeport, il verra que tu avais déjà consommé 40 jours et donc ne qu'accorde rien, et cela est son droit !!!! et là , le contrôle est fait de façon manuelle et pas informatiquement ce qui évite un " bug "existant....tu le verra au moment voulu 🤪
pour l'histoire de sortir du pays quelques jours et de revenir... pour bénéficier de nouveau de 90 jours sans visa, cela ne marche pas......une fois que tu as consommé tes 90 jours assortis d'une extension de 0 à 90 jours supplémentaires, c'est retour à la maison pour 181 jours minimum et je t'informe que ton visa , celui demandé en extension, va de date à date......donc date échu = fin de visa.....
Donc si je comprends bien je me suis fait avoir en beauté par la nana au comptoir, ce qui signifierait qu'on n'aurait pas le droit de sortir du Pays?
Or, Damien, sur un autre post, qui a l'air sûr de son coup dit qu'on peut sortir...
Bref je sens qu'il va falloir aller négocier fin Mai (avant la fin des premiers 90j de présence sur territoire pour montrer ma bonne foi) pour avoir une extension.
En cas négatif je tenterai le coup de frauder puisque tu me dis que c'est lecture manuelle... quitte à payer 365reals+8*51 = 773 reais... ce qui fait cher (et ch***) quand même...
On peut sortir du pays autant de fois que l'on veux .....par contre quand tu arrive à l'échéance de ton séjour de ce que tu pouvais avoir, c'est retour au pays pour 180 jours minimum et là tu ne peux rien y faire.....car si tu obtenu un visa en extension de tes 3 premiers mois, dés que tu as atteint la date de validité de ton visa et bien tu es obligé de partir....sans possibilité de revenir avant 6 mois minimum, si tu reviens avant, on te renverra dans le premier avion en partance pour l' Europe, le jour même de ton arrivée 🏴☠️
Extension à chopper à PF 5 jours avant la fin des 90 jours cumulés de présence sur territoire.
Extension valable à partir du jour de la visite à la PF, pour 90 jours consécutifs.
Après, abstinence du Brésil de 181 jours.
En gros on s'en fout un peu de ce qu'il est écrit sur le cartão en fait?
De plus sur passeport rien d'écrit au stylo (juste sur cartão).
Je me fie à la lecture informatique et je joue la bonne foi.
Dans mon cas, fin des 90 jours le 08/06-> extension (ou sortie du territoire?) à faire le 01/06, valable jusqu'au 01/09.
C'est ca?
Après mon billet est le 08/09, donc 7 jours de fraude-> demandent-il le billet forcément à la PF? Vont-ils tousser pour 7 jours?
à voir s'ils font payer ou non - j'ai entendu sur place que les cas qui ont payé sortent d'une grosse fraude...

Quand tu arrive au Brésil, on te donne 90 jours de droit à séjour.....durant ces 90 jours tu peux rentrer et sortir du Brésil sans soucis.....on additionne simplement le nombre de jours cumulés passé au Brésil qui ne devront pas dépasser 90 jours, à tes passages en douanes et si entre deux séjours tu laisse effectivement 180 jours tu repars à zéro....
A l'échéance de ces 90 jours, tu peux demander une prolongation pour 90 nouveaux jours.....cette fois ci, c'est un visa que l'on te délivre, avec une date de démarrage et une date de fin de validité.....tu peux sortir du pays autant de fois que tu veux, cependant quand la date de validité est arrivée....c'est retour au pays pour 181 jours...
un dépassement de 0 à 30 jours, équivaut à une amende forfaitaire de 350 réais environ.... au delà, par jours supplémentaire tu rajoute 9 R$...avec un plafond d'amende de 850 reais...
45 jours de dépassement feraient grosso modo : 350 + (9 X 15jours)
3 ou ou 30 jours = 350 reais environ...
Je rentre juste de la PF de SP, je viens d'obtenir 90 jours de prorogacão de visa!
Date finale: le 05 septembre 2011-> donc cette extension de visa est valide à partir de la fin des 90 jours cumulés et ne prend pas effet le jour même de la visite à la PF.
En revanche on est bien date à date (fin des 90 premiers jours le 05 juin).
Comme quoi tout est informatisé et ne pas les prendre pour des jambons!
En revanche rien vis à vis des 90 dias de prazo sur le cartão d'entrée (voir 1er post).
Pour la procédure si des gens comptent y aller:
Je suis arrivé à 8h, je suis passé quasiment en premier (30° dans la file d'entrée puis premier au comptoir du 3e étage "prorogação")
Documents fournis:
- DPF 270 à remplir sur place (prévoir adresse et numéro de tel brésilien)
- Reçu et avis deposito de 67reals (précisions dans autre post)
- photocopies: du passeport (1ere page), du cartão d'entrée, de la carte bleue RV (penser à cacher quelques numéros au dos), et de mon e-ticket air france.
- passeport, naturellement
Pour info mon billet retour est prévu le 08 septembre, donc hors délai... ils ne regardent pas tout.
Le tout passe dans un bureau derrière, puis 30 minutes d'attente. Ils appellent pour rendre le passeport tamponné avec la date de sortie. Total 1h.
Donc la morale, bien faire gaffe à la fin des 90 jours de présence sur le territoire c'est quand même surveillé.
Je précise que j'ai fait cette démarche car pas de billets pour l'étranger ce weekend, auquel cas je n'aurais pas eu besoin d'aller à la PF.

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

There are rumors going around about the ETA: it must absolutely be on your smartphone in the "ETA" app.
Paper documents might not be accepted.

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

Is a train/bus ticket to Vietnam sufficient?

My wife and I are heading to the US.
On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?
