J ai deja fait ce voyage 2 fois aller retour, alors je vais essayer de t aider du mieux que je peux.
Notre itineraire a ete de traverser les US vers le Texas, puis de traverser au Mexique, ensuite au Guatemala et entrer au Honduras par Copan Ruinas.
Tous s est tres bien passe pour nous.
Bien sur, il faut etre patient aux frontieres, surtout celles du Mexique et du Guatemala.
Nous n avions pas pris d assurance maladie, peut etre que nous sommes un peu fous, mais il ne nous est rien arrive aux US. J ai du voir un medecin au Mexique et ca n a pris que quelques minutes dans une pharmacie et j ai eu ma prescription tout de suite.
Nous avions une assurance auto internatioale que j avais trouvee sur Internet, la cie etait aux US.
Cote legal, je ne comprends pas ta question.
Idealement des que vous etes au Mexique, je vous conseille de vous arreter en fin d apres midi etant donne que les routes peuvent etre dangereuses le soir, parfois la route est belle et tout a coup, elle est brisee.
Quand a l hebergement securitaire, je possede un petit hotel a Tela et nous avons un appartement. Nous sommes tres pres de la mer.

Au sujet de votre assurance maladie, si vous ne partez pas plus de 6 mois, vous devriez restes assures. Plus de 6 mois est possible, la loi de l assurance maladie permet a des quebecois de s absenter plus longtemps, une fois tous les 5 ans ou 7 ans, a verifier sur leur site ou par telephone.
Moi je suis arrivee au Honduras en l994 et y suis restee environ 4 ans a temps plein, operant un Bed and Breakfast, mais suite a l ouragan Mitch qui nous a prive de touriste pr plusieurs annees, je suis retournee travailler au Quebec en ete et je passais mes hivers au Honduras.
Depuis l autome 2008, j y suis encore a plein temps.
Pour l appartement, nous la louons 300.00$ par mois et l electricite n est pas inclus. Tout depend de votre utilisation de l air climatise, certaines personnes l utilisent 24 hres par jour, ce qui coute assez cher, mais si vous l utilisez raisonnablement, ca ne devrait pas coucher plus de 50.00$ par mois.
ll s agit d un grand loft, incluant un lit double, un futon, une table et chaises, tele, ventilateur de plafond, AC, WiFi, petit poele au propane, petit frigo et micro onde ainsi que la vaisselle necessaire. Pour répondre à ta question sur les assurances- maladie, tu as le droit de partir 6 mois par année civile hors du québec. Donc tu aurais le droit de partir de Novembre à juin (2 mois en 2012 et 6 mois en 2013). Voilà pourquoi nous partons de juillet à juillet! cependant, j'ai pris une assurance voyage (maladie) supplémentaire car si on est malades là-bas c'est beaucoup plus pratique. Pour l'assurance auto, tu peux en prendre une pour le Mexique juste avant de passer la frontière. Je crois que c'est pareil pour les autres pays. Finalement, pour l'hébergement, je suis présentement en plein recherche alors si je découvre quelque chose de génial, je vous tiendrai au courant! Pour l'instant, j'ai trouvé pleins de villas pas cher au Costa Rica ( environs 400$ par mois)

pour répondre à ta question, je pars avec mon conjoint et mes deux enfants, qui ont 4 et 7 ans. Pour ce qui est des maisons au Costa Rica... j'ai fait plusieurs recherches sur pleins de sites, mais celui qui me donne le plus de résultats est www.tropicalhomesofcostarica.com.
Nous partons dans le sud pour plusieurs mois durant l'hiver depuis deux ans soit au Mexique et à Cuba jusqu'à maintenant et nous vous conseillons fortement de bien vous assurer avant votre départ.
