Et vu que j'aimerais y aller avec elle, je me demandais comment il était possible pour moi d'y aller également, et de rester pendant cette même durée, à savoir environ un an, alors que je n'aurai pas d'employeur, ou d'activité sur place, mais je souhaiterais y trouver un emploi et y vivre normalement...
Du coup, j'ai pensé au mariage, j'imagine que ça facilite beaucoup de choses, mais y a t il d'autres solutions ?

Dans ce cas-là, il faut que je voie avec mon université, ou d'autres en France, pour un partenariat avec les Etats-Unis et l'obtention d'un visa d'études, même si je ne vis pas dans la ville où mon université est, dans l'esprit "fausse inscription"...

S'il est marié et que sa femme a un visa de travail aux Etats-Unis, je pense que les formalités pour lui seront facilitées. Sinon, ça reviendrait à ce que le gouvernement américain lui refuse le droit de suivre sa femme (au-delà des 3 mois de tourisme). En tous cas, ça s'étudie ; je ne répondrai pas aussi prématurément que toi...
tu peux rester 3 mois puis sortir des usa et rerentrer ....ça peut marcher....mais quand ils auront la puce à l'oreille....tu risques de ne plus pouvoir rentrer sur le territoire americain et ou plus tard et pour tous tes sejours aux USA etre obligé d avoir un visa de l' ambassade americaine en France (je te raconte meme pas le dossier a monter!).....j ai fait un post sur les overstay hier ...le plus sage est d y aller 3 mois, rentrer chez toi un certain temps puis repartir car quand ils auront compris ce qu il se passe et meme si tu n as pas l intention de t installer ca va etre dur pour toi. Quand a travailler, si tu n as pas un poste en partant de France, c 'est meme pas la peine. La tu risques de ne plus pouvoir aller aux US plus tard. Pour le mariage c est avec un resident permanent ou une americaine et encore il y a un bon delai de regularisation, le reste ça marche pas. Ils sont tres tres bien organisés et meme si tu as l impression de partir sans probleme, le jour ou tu remets les pieds tu risques de gros ennuis. Ils sont extremement bien rodes a toutes les techniques de prolongation de sejour!!!! Moi j ai depasse mon delai de 10 jours pour raisons medicales il y a douze ans (j etais physiquement incapable de repartir)et je suis encore maintenant a chaque fois arretée au service immigration aux US (cette fois ci 30 minutes interview et la premiere fois3 heures et demi, et l obligation de repartir des US sous 15 jours) alors que je n ai jamais eu l intention de rester mais je reste pour eux un suspect....ils maitrisent parfaitement leurs lois. Maintenant je n ai plus droit a vie de profiter du programme d exemption de visa, mais j ai un B1/B2 qui me permet de rester 6 mois par an et ce sur dix ans. Toutefois les inspecteurs de l immigration sont des personnes tres respectueuses mais ils ne faut vraiment pas essayer de les berner car ils ont le pouvoir de ne pas te laisser entrer sur le territoire. Ca arrive vraiment. Bon courage.
si ton epoux a obtenu par exemple un J1 tu peux avoir un J2 il faut en faire la demande et prouver que ton conjoint est solide financierement; C'est a dire qu il faut faire une demande de visa pour le suivre. Le fait de te marier ne te donne pas des droits automatiquement. Et ce visa peut etre refusé pour raison financiere par exemple. Il faut remplir un formulaire.
c'est le type de visa qu il doit demander alors. Le PACS ne doit pas etre reconnu en +, donc se marier est peut etre la solution pour se donner + de chance, meme si ce n'est pas non plus un gage de succés :).
Le mieux c est de voir avec l ambassade directement, et/ou l employeur sur place qui peut conseiller, notament si c'est une boite qui recrute à l etranger.
Vous souhaitez faire un séjour supérieur à 3 mois aux USA pour y effectuer du tourisme ou vous êtes à la retraite et vous souhaitez séjourner moins de 6 mois aux USA.
Vous pouvez alors faire la demande d'un visa B2.
Souvent l'immigration suppose qu'avec ce visa vous désirez vous introduire aux USA dans l'intention d'y rester. Pour parer ce probleme, il faut donc montrer votre projet, que vous avez uniquement l'intention de visiter, de faire du tourisme et surtout de ne pas travailler.
Comment prouver? Toutes les preuves relative à votre logement ( propriétaire ou locataire). Preuves d'emploi (ex: lettre d'employeur qui vous reprendra à la fin de votre congé) De l'argent ( avoir suffisamment de fond pour votre vie quotidienne, vos déplacements, vos visites) Votre famille ( tous liens qui s'en rapprochent), vos biens... un parcours qui vous auriez peut-etre etabli. Un billet d'avion retour....
si tu souhaites suivre ton amoureuse en toute legalite: marier vous et ainsi tu obtiendras un visa de 'dependant'; certains visas permettent au conjoint de travailler (ex: ta femme a un visa J1, tu obtiendras un J2 et tu pourras demander une autorisation de travail:EAD).
si pas de mariage avec ta copine: visa B1/B2 pour 6 mois visite de 3 mois puis retour en france, puis revenir aux us pendant encore 3 mois, et etc...

Il me semble qu'elle aura un visa J1, car elle sera toujours salariée de l'éducation nationale, elle est instit, mais dans le cadre d'un échange, elle est amenée à exercer son poste outre-atlantique, enfin, ce n'est qu'un projet pour le moment...
Et puis j'imagine qu'avec un visa B1/B2, tout travail salarié est impossible...

After living for many years in the West (Belgium, Italy, Switzerland),
I’ve decided to return and settle in Cameroon, my home country.
Currently an entrepreneur in real estate and transport, I’m looking for a partner / partners / foundation to collaborate on an agriculture project, as I own 10 hectares of land.
The hectares have remained unused for years due to a lack of financial means, since the project requires what I’d call a considerable investment. As the main stakeholder, I have a minimal contribution to offer.
