Comme tu le dis, j'adapterai mon trajet en tenant compte de la température. Je n'ai pas encore fait mon itinéraire mais je commence à regarder les endroits que j'aimerais visiter. Nous avons prévu de rejoindre notre fille ainée qui est à ARICA 'frontière chili) à LIMA pour les fetes de fin d'années. Nous passons 9 jours sur place. du 21 au 1er janvier .Elle a déjà visiter pas mal de choses. dont Cuzco , le Macchu picchu, le lac du titicaca. Et surtout c'este debut de la saison des pluies.
Nous sommes 5. Le but est familial. Mon mari souffrant du genou, nous ne pourrons pas faire de longues randonnées et l'idée est de faire 2 ou 3 points de chutes Max.J'aurais besoin de votre avis.
Je pensais monter directement à CHICLAYO par avion pour parvenir jusqu'a CHACHAPOYAS. CAJAMARCA.
et Passer Noel vers trujillo. Est ce un bon mélange de visite culturelle, nature et farniente.

Pour vous donner une idée des trajets, un extrait de mon compte-rendu d'un voyage en octobre 2017:
Chiclayo CAJAMARCA Cie de bus Linea départ 10H45 arrivée 18h TB sauf vidéos.
Belle route qd on commence à monter, diverses cultures, riz mais.
- 2 excursions avec agence : -Cumbe Mayo superbe, agréable balade (courte en distance) très tranquille, beaux paysages.
-Excursion Otuzco:3 sujets/4 ne présentent pour moi aucun intérêt(hortensias, fromage, rivière)
-Possibilité d’aller à une lagune et barques de tortora
Ville très agréable. Belle architecture coloniale. J’y étais pour le recensement donc TOUT fermé pendant 1 jour ! Si vous achetez du fromage essayez de le goûter avant…..
Hôtel Plaza : chambre ind calme 20 soles sans sdb, simple, très propre et agréable.Pas d’internet dans chambre, pas d’eau chaude le soir après 19-20h, pas d’eau du tout après 22H. OK le matin.
Cajamarca-CHACHAPOYASvia Celendin bus compagnie Virgen del Carmen départs 5AM et 5PM avec changement de bus en cours de route.Gestion des bagages pas sérieuse :s’assurer soi-même de leur emplacement et insister s’ils ne trouvent pas (c’est du vécu, elle y était dans la soute , ma valise!)
Trajet de jour, route spectaculaire,12h.Gros écarts d’altitude .Chauffeur prudent. Petit dèj (soupe) en route lors du changement de bus. Il y a peut-être une autre route.
Ville mignonne, vivante, ambiance gaie. Change de dollars dans les boutiques (change euro un peu défavorable) . Possibilités de randonnées dans la région, voir avec les agences.
Cataractas de Gocta : à ne pas manquer même sous la pluie (avoir alors des bâtons, peuvent s’acheter sur place).Trajet en minibus paysages étonnants.
Chachapoyas Backpackers (20 soles dortoir,40 simple)Très bien, personnel très attentif.S’occupe de la réservation de sorties
Ne pas manquer Kuelap depuis Chachapoyas (j'ai visité avec une agence)
Si votre mari est en difficulté avec un genou, aller aux cataractes pourrait poser souci s'il pleut. Pour Kuelap un peu de marche tranquille pour visiter. Perso j'utilise des bâtons de marche.
Voir sur You tube le sujet de 1h"las damas azules" documentaire sur une lutte menée par les dames de la région de Cajamarca contre l'exploitation minière.

Du coup, nous avons un peu peur des hordes de touristes du Macchu picchu je pense que nous allons effectivement nous orienter sur CAJAMARCA et chachapoyas (6 jours) et ensuite TRUJILLO (3 jours) retour sur LIMA. Pour Noël , cajamarca peut être agréable? la ville adorable et gaie c'est cajamarca ou chachapoyas?

La ville gaie, c'est Chachapoyas; la plaza de armas était en réfection mais a dû être terminée. Il y avait bcp de jeunes en fin d'am, et j'avais l'impression que tout le monde se connaissait. Il y a des cafés agréables. Pour Cajamarca : j'ai trouvé un peu plus endormie, et en plus le dimanche avait lieu un recensement national donc tout fermé, personne dehors sauf les touristes, soit…..moi......et la police!
Chez Chachapoyas Backpakers possibilité de chambre individuelle.
Je vous souhaite un inoubliable voyage en famille.
PS:je rajoute la partie de mon CR sur Trujillo (oct 2017), mais je suis allée à Cajamarca depuis Chiclayo.
-TRUJILLO: centre-ville maisons coloniales très colorées. Enorme trafic, ville en travaux (visite du Pape prévue). Des maisons à visiter fermées.
-Ne pas rater Huaca de la Luna. Avec agence tour sur 1 journée, huacas, ChanChan, musées (depuis les pluies de début d’année, espace visité de Chan Chan réduit) et visites intéressantes avec guide .
Hôtel Ugarte lit en dortoir peu avenant 33 soles, j’ai eu une chambre individuelle avec sdb pour 30 soles à l’hôtel Colonial.
Merci pour les supplément TRUJILLO. Nous envisageons de prendre une voiture pour aller à Chachapoyas. En avez vous croiser ou vraiment que des bus.?
La route est si difficile que ça? J'ai cru comprendre qu'une bonne partie était maintenant asphaltée. Qu 'en pensez vous? Nous pensions atterrir a trujillo et partir pour chachapoyas via chiclayo retour par cajamarca. Est ce plus long?

Je ne me rappelle que de la portion Cajamarca Chachapoyas via Celedin, route asphaltée certes, mais avec des "précipices" (j'avais pris le côté opposé dans le bus pour être moins apeurée.... bon depuis j'en ai vu d'autres😕 au Pérou)Nous avions changé de bus en cours de trajet pour un plus petit vu la largeur de la route et les virages aussi sans doute.
Je n'ai pris que des bus et suis incapable de donner un avis sur la possibilité de prendre une voiture.

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊

Hello, We’re heading to Finnish Lapland near Rovaniemi as a family at the end of February with two kids (8 and 14 years old). We’ve got direct flights with Luxairstours. The itinerary is already set, but I’m wondering if anyone has traveled with Luxair before and knows exactly what kind of clothes they provide on the second day? The agency just told me it’s a heavy-duty cold-weather suit. I’m thinking we should get Sorel Caribou boots, maybe second-hand. Here’s what I’ve already planned:
- Thermolactyl leggings and tights from Damart for the whole family as a base layer.
- A first layer of Damart socks + Nordic Stocks socks in 70% merino wool for all four of us.
- Loose fleece layers, including some Polartec.
- Ski pants for hikes.
- For my son and me, a The North Face Himalayan down parka with a hood.
- A ski parka for my husband and my 14-year-old daughter (she *really* wants a Roxy one—I hope it’ll be warm enough).
- For myself, for the flight and the first day at Santa’s village, I’ve packed The North Face winter hiking pants, a long-sleeve merino wool top from Decathlon (thin), a fleece, and my big parka.
I’m wondering if I should just pack fleece joggers or sweatpants for the kids and my husband, at least for the first and last days, to be comfortable on the plane?
I’m also planning to buy balaclavas and neck warmers in addition to our beanies, as well as mittens for all of us. I really need advice because I have no idea—I’ve never been skiing! Also, for a 4-night, 5-day trip, should I pack a second set of base layers, like from Odlo?
Of course, I’ll be leaving cotton clothes out of the suitcase.
As you can tell, I’m someone who gets cold easily—especially my feet, hands, and ears—so that’s my biggest worry. I *don’t* want to be cold, even at -20°C during dog sledding, snowmobiling, or aurora hunting when we might be standing still. We won’t be in the city, and the kids will likely spend most of their time outside, as they usually do.
