Hi there,
I’m heading to Laos next spring, but I have a question about the Thai arrival/departure form. I’ll be flying PAR-BKK, then taking the train to Laos (so exiting Thailand), and later re-entering Thailand by train to catch my return flight. Do I need to fill out two forms in this case?
Thanks for your help! !

Hi,
I’m planning a trip to Laos from France with a transit through Thailand involving 2 entries. I might spend up to 7 days max in Thailand (round trip).
The flight I’ve spotted: arrival at BKK and return to France 31 days later.
With the new regulations/visa: "Starting September 15, 2026, French nationals holding an ordinary passport will be able to stay in Thailand visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism purposes only, down from the previous 60 days."
How do you think the counting is done? - Number of days spent in Thai territory? - Entry and exit dates: number of days between the two?
I’m leaning toward the first option, but to avoid any administrative hassles with Thailand (fines, etc.) and before booking my ticket, your input would really help.
Thanks, have a great weekend!

Hi,
I’m arriving soon in southern Laos and the 4000 Islands, with plans to head to Cambodia next.
The latest news I got this morning (Paksé, La Boulange) isn’t great—the Cambodian border is also in a latent conflict with Laos for the same reasons as with Thailand...
So, what’s the best site to check for updates on the border opening? Since the situation isn’t stable right now and could change from one day to the next?
Thanks for your input.

Hi, I'm planning to go to Cambodia soon. Since I'm heading toward Kratie, I thought I might as well go all the way to Pakse in Laos.
So I need a visa for Cambodia, one for Laos... but then another one when I return to Cambodia (since I plan to go to Siem Reap afterward)?
The question might seem silly, but I don’t want any hassle at the Cambodian border. I might have a few days left on my first visa, but just in case...
If anyone gets what I mean, thanks! ^^

Hi there,
We’re heading to Southeast Asia for several months as a family with two teens (10 and 13). The first country we’re visiting is Cambodia. I’m having an issue with the e-visa—it won’t accept any of the documents I’m attaching. I’ve validated all four e-visas and received the registration numbers, but when I check the application, it shows no attachments. I’ve tried multiple times in different formats (PDF, JPEG, PNG), whether compressed or not, but there’s always a red cross next to the documents.
Has anyone else run into this problem?
Thanks for your help—I’m losing patience, and our departure is in 15 DAYS 😕

Hi there,
I’m planning a trip to Laos in February.
I tried to apply for my eVisa online, but the system keeps telling me that both my address and the address of my hotel upon arrival are invalid, without any further explanation.
I’ve modified them, shortened them several times, but nothing changes.
I sent a message to ask for clarification but haven’t received a response.
Has anyone else run into this problem? How was it resolved?
Thanks in advance, and happy New Year! 🙂

Hi,
I’ve read on various semi-official websites that you can pay for the 30-day visa at the counter at the airport by credit card.
Has anyone arrived in Laos recently (I’ll be landing in Luang Prabang) and can confirm this?
If not, which currencies are accepted?
Thanks in advance.
Alain
