Oui je suis partie seule et c'est bien mieux, la décision est trop lourde de conséquences.
Je n'ai par contre pas trop demandé d'avis autour de moi, ma famille était contre, j'ai suivi mon intuition, j'étais certaine d'avoir pris la bonne décision, bien qu'évidemment je ne savais pas ce qui m'attendait au Canada surtout au niveau travail.
J'ai cherché du travail tout de suite sur place, il m'a fallu deux mois avant de trouver un emploi satisfaisant, j'ai vécu sur mes économies durant ce temps (j'avais prévu une somme d'argent pour au moins six mois sans travailler).
J'ai suivi des cours d'anglais durant ces deux premiers mois offerts aux nouveaux arrivants, ils étaient gratuits, cela m'a surtout permis de rencontrer des gens déjà arrivés avant moi et de me familiariser avec mon nouvel environnement.
J'avais déjà un niveau d'anglais scolaire, je me souviens que nous avions tous des accents tellement différents (et sans doute des niveaux aussi) que nous avions pas mal de difficultés à nous comprendre en nous, mais les grandes villes sont très cosmopolites au Canada, cela me donnait un très bon aperçu de ma vie future, que j'adore maintenant.
Si vous pensez que l'aventure est dangereuse, essayez la routine..., elle est mortelle
Vancouver est une ville extraordinaire, des milliers de français y vivent, malgré les aspects negatifs. Vous allez vous y plaire. Le positif selon moi et mes amis qui vivent la: pas besoin d'auto, pas trop froid, culture variée.

J'ai pour projet l'année prochaine de quitter la France, seule pour aller travailler au Canada plutôt dans une province ou on parle français. je suis professionnelle de santé. J'ai commencé à récupérer des infos mais je trouve le parcours assez compliqué sur le plan administratif mais j'ai peut-être que je n'ai pas bien compris . Ma question est de savoir si il a des organismes ou plutôt société fiables qui proposent leurs services (payants très certainement) pour les personnes souhaitant s'expatrier et aider aux démarches. Sincèrement, tu n'as pas besoin d'organismes payants pour réaliser ton projet.
L'Internet regorge de sites officiels gouvernementaux, de forums d'expatriation de qualité et de blogs pour t'informer. Surtout que le Canada est le pays le plus facile pour trouver toutes ces infos sur le web.
La règle numéro 1 quand on veut aller à l'étranger pour y vivre est d'être très débrouillard. On est jamais aussi bien servi que par soi-même! 😉
Édit: je vois que tu poses aussi sur le forum des questions pour travailler en Afrique du Sud, Ethiopie, et autre...un chausson avec ça?

En fait tout ça, c'est dans le même mouvement même si pas paraître éparpillé. J'ai décidé de faire des choses que j'aurais voulu faire depuis longtemps. Je voulais donner de mon temps en humanitaire à l'étranger avant d'aborder un départ à l'étranger. J'ai fait des choses localement mais cette fois j'avais envie d'aller aider à l'étranger. L'Afrique du Sud ou l'Ethiopie sont des pays ou j'ai toujours eu envie de rendre. Je ne parle pas Espagnol ou le Portugais sinon, sinon j'aurais tenté l'Amérique du Sud. Je connais l'Afrique centrale et la situation y est tendue voire explosive dans certains pays de cette zone. Donc j' ai pensé à ces 2 pays ou je sais qu'il y a des projets humanitaires . Grâce au forum que j'ai découvert il y a peu, j'ai eu des super pistes. Merci encore! Je pars en Ethiopie 2 semaines à la fin du mois. J'ai un projet en attente pour l'Afrique du sud en Février si je peux me libérer. Par ailleurs, l'idée de vivre à l'étranger est de plus en présente et j 'ai décidé de franchir le pas . L'an dernier j'ai eu un premier contact avec Montréal , Québec en tant que touriste. Le projet était encore à son stade d'ébauche. Je sais que le Canada recrute. Tout cela fait partie de la même dynamique même si cela peut faire éparpillé. J'espère organiser cela dans les 6 mois, cela fait un moment que j'y pense mais là j'ai décidé de franchir le pas. Je pense que si je vais vivre dans un autres pays je devrais mettre de côté momentanément ces projets humanitaires. Voila aussi pour je le fais maintenant.

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
