J'aimerais savoir si il y a des gens qui sont au courant du système d'éducation au Panama. Nous désirons s'y installer avec nos 3 enfants d'ici 1 an et demi et nous en sommes à s'informer sur l'école.
En gros le système panaméen privé ou public est à l'envers de notre calendrier avec début d'année vers mars ( il existe de bonnes écoles privées bilingues) - le système US avec début d'année vers le 15 Aout, école privée haut de gamme - et bientôt une école française qui deviendra un collège, puis un lycée français. Ouverture prévue courant 2008 aux dernières nouvelles.
Les écoles privées panaméennes, le plus souvent catholiques, sont de bon niveau: entre 2000 et 6000 usd par an. Les écoles internationales sont très chères: à partir de 5000 usd. l'école française éxistante va de la maternelle au CM2 et coute à peu près 2000 usd; la nouvelle école sera aussi à Panama city. Des infos supplémentaires sur le web ?? L'école à la maison cela peut ausi couper les enfants d'un pays..à vous de voir..
Voici le site de l'école Française qui existe déjà : Ecole Paul Gauguin elle fonctionne très bien mais commence à être saturée d'où l'intention d'ouvrir un futur Lycée Français à brève échéance .L'école actuelle se situe dans le quartier de Parque Lefevre qui est un quartier central de PTY près du Parque Omar

En fait, plusieurs raisons motivent notre choix. Nous avions des exigences par rapport à l'endroit où nous voulions déménager. Par exemple, un endroit pour faire de la plongée sous-marine, un endroit pour que les enfants puissent faire du surf (on a passé l'hiver dernier à Hawaii et ils ont adoré cela), un endroit oû que les étrangers étaient les bienvenues, etc.
Nous avions entendu parlé du Panama. Par contre, nous n'y sommes jamais allés. On aimerait bien pouvoir partir cet hiver pour environ 2 semaines.
Je suis tomée en amour avec l'Amérique Centrale-Sud en 1995 lorsque je suis allée au Nicaragua. J'ai toujours voulu m'y installer par la suite.
Nous en sommes également au début de nos préparatifs. Nous continuons de ramasser de l'information et d'essayer de planifier les choses.
Ce serait agréable de rester en contact. C'est très agréable de pouvoir partager ce rêve avec des gens qui ont le même. Quel âge ont les enfant?
bonjour, étant au Panama depuis qq mois, mes enfants sont inscrits dans une école privée billingue (anglais/espagnol), ils ont des courts dans les 2 langues (j'ai testé le niveau d'anglais en causant avec des eleves de l'école, impécable ils comprennent bien tout), les frais de scolarité sont moins cher que l'école Française sur place. Dans cette école on a de toutes nationalités (chinois, venezueliens, FR, italiens...). La scolarité semble + poussée se passe mieux qu'en France figure toi (enfants + acueillants, souriants, peu ou pas de bagarres...)
Panama est un merveilleux pays... et tes enfants risquent d'adorer...

Sauf que nous sommes tombés en amour avec la province de Los Santos, nous y avons acheté un terrain et comptons nous y installer d'ici 2 ans.
Je ne crois pas qu'il y ai d'école française, et à la limite je ne suis pas contre qu'il aille à l'école en espagnol, mais ce qui m'embête c'est que l'école commence en Mars et se termine en Décembre.
J'aimerais bien pouvoir revenir au Canada pendant la période estivale (juillet & aout).
Je crois qu'une solution possible pour les parents qui ont le même profil que moi serait de créer un regroupement d'enfant et d'embaucher un prof.

Oui, je reside au Panama apres avoir passe bien des annees a Ottawa.
Au Panama, il existe une universite publique et plus d une vingtaine d universites privees pour etudier dans presque tous les domaines en espagnol et parfois en anglais.

Je m'inquiète pour mon petit, il aura 6 ans à ce moment là. Il ne parle que le francais. Mais je suis ouverte à poursuivre le francais avec lui, et qu'il decouvre une ecole espagnol/anglais.
Et à priori nous ne souhaiterions pas rester à panama City, donc exclut l'ecole francaise P.Gaugin.

Il fait VRAIMENT CHAUD a Panama , 26 a 32 degres centigrades, et un climatisateur est necessaire; ce qui
augmente les frais d electricite.
Avec un enfant de 7 ans, je vous conseille la petite ville de SORA , a une heure de Panama, pour son micro-climat
de montagne.
Autre possibilite : la ville de BOQUETE dans la province de Chiriqui , proche de la frontiere avec le Costa Rica. Si vous n etes pas trop difficile, vous pouvez trouver en location en bas de 1 000 dollars par mois des appartements ou petites maisons deja equipes du materiel menager . La temperature : 19 a 25 degres centigrades.
