mon ami et moi avons pour projet de s'installer en Malaisie. En effet on lui a proposé un poste dans une ferme aquacole dans le nord ouest du pays. A l'heure actuelle on lui propose un contrat malais qui aura pour salaire 2500Rm par mois. On se demandait avant de donner une réponse à cette offre quels étaient les salaires moyens, le coût de la vie sur place...? Nous ne savons pas si le salaire proposé et adapté ou non... Si il est préférable d'accepter un contrat malais ou bien d'etre considéré en tant qu'expat.
De plus, , je suis infirmière, croyez vous que je puisse trouver du travail la bas?car en France il n'y a aucune difficultés pour trouver mais est ce de même dans ce pays?

il est toujours difficile de répondre a priori sans éléments particuliers. Mais je vais être brutalement franc. Il faut refuser l'offre qui est humiliante. 2.500 MYR, c'est moins de 560 euros par mois. Même si c'est tous frais inclus, c'est du grand n'importe quoi. Pour tout dire, c'est en dessous du seuil de l'impot sur le revenu pour un ceilbataire! Ca correspond a des cadres intermediaires sans grande experience. Il faut savoir que les entreprises ne sont pas tenues d'inclure la retraite pour les etrangers. Les etrangers ne sont pas senses beneficier des services publics de sante, d'education, etc. Il faut bien sur un permis de travail. Il sera tres difficile de l'obtenir a un niveau de salaire pareil: c'est du dumping salarial!
Le Nord-Ouest du pays, ca ne veut rien dire. Entre Georgetown a Penang et les bleds du Kedah, il y autant d'ecarts qu'entre Marseille et un village de 50 habitants en Lozere.
Mauvaise nouvelle: les qualifications d'infirmiere francaise ne sont pas reconnues ici. La majorite des conjoints d'expatries ne travaillent donc pas, sauf a enseigner le francais en "freelance" par exemple. En outre, je suis assez sceptique sur la possibilite de trouver un poste loin de KL, Penang et Johor Bahru qui sont les principaux foyers d'emploi pour etrangers.
Desole d'etre aussi dur, mais la personne qui propose le poste a votre ami ne lui veut pas du bien ou a un tres grand sens de l'humour a ses depens. Je ne parle meme pas du delai pour choisir. Les salaires les plus faibles offerts a des Francais doivent etre a 3.000 MYR pour des techniciens sans grande qualification et un premier boulot sur place. Il va sans dire que la grande majorite ne reste guere longtemps avec une paie aussi faible.
Vivre avec un tel revenu signifie une vie completement locale (pas de sortie autre qu'au troquets du coin, pas de weekend ou de vacances hors domicile). Si vous voulez revenir en France une fois par an, vous soigner, etc. il vous faudra cependant economiser fortement.
