Oui l'Etna est encore enneigé. En haut il peut faire froid alors que dans la plaine, le climat peut etre tres doux. Vas voir les photos sur mon blog pour la neige. C'etait en avril.

Ciao Pascale. N'oubliez pas que la Sicile est très proche de l'Afrique, de sorte que les températures sont plus africaine qu'européenne. J'ai un amie qui me dit que les sicilienne n'ont pas les radiateurs dans la maison, parce que les températures hivernales sont douces. Pensez-vous que dans ces jours moi (qui vis en Toscane) dans la journée j'ai 6/7 degrés, elle en Sicile dans la journée a 16/17 degrés!

Zafferana étant en altitude , ça sera plus bas , et on est pas toute la journée , et encore moins la nuit qui arrive tres tot en sicile , à 13h
Je te remercie pour ces informations. Es-tu allé au Stromboli ? Nous ne trouvons pas dans les différents guides et forum s'il est possible de partir le matin et de rentrer le soir ou s'il faut dormir sur place.

La nuit à 13h en Sicile, c'est quel mois? En avril les jours étaient assez long. Il commencait à faire vraiment sombre vers 19h. A 17h-18h nous prenions le soleil à Syracuse.
Je n'ai jamais été à Stromboli. J'ai documenté pour vous.
Vous devez prendre le ferry de Milazzo (ticket 20 € ou presque) qui diste 113 km de Zafferana (1 heure de voiture), il ya une ligne (www.usticalines.it). Départ tous les jours (du lundi au dimanche) à partir de Milazzo à 07:20 (arrivée à 10:05) et 16:20 (arrivée à 17:30); à partir de Stromboli à 11:50 (arrivée à 14:20) et à 17:35 (arrivée à 20:20).

Près de Syracuse, près de Avola il y a un lieu magnifique "Le canyon de Cava Grande del Cassibile" voyez les photos. Ne pas oublier de manger en Sicilie les "PANELLE", "ARANCINI" "PASTA ALLA NORMA" et les "CANNOLI".

@ Pascale : en plus du manque de chauffage fréquent (ou alors ils l'ont mais ils ne l'allument que très peu pour faire des économies), il faut tenir compte du fait que l'isolation n'est pas très bonne et que le climat est humide.
Donc, n'hésite pas à prendre un bon pull chaud pour les soirées, même si tu ne sors pas.
Pour la journée, ça va dépendre de comment se présente le printemps, mais avec du soleil, tu pourrais atteindre les 18-20 degrés.

Je suis allée plusieurs fois en Sicile (Palerme, Trapani et Pantelleria) en été et en hiver. J'ai un amie que j'entends souvent au téléphone et je rapporte simplement ce qu'elle me dit. Maintenant en Sicilie il ya 16 degrés pendant la journée et je ne pense pas que c'est une température d'hiver, parce que dans le reste de l'Italie (du nord) comme en Toscane où je suis, il ya 6 degrés. Donc températures très différentes. Bien sûr le soir on doit couvrir est évident, ou si vous allez dans les montagnes plutôt que à la mer. Ceci s'applique à tous les lieux. 😉

Ce n'est une question ni de Siciliens, ni d'être capables, le même problème se posant au nord de l'Italie.
C'est juste que c'est construit différemment, que l'isolation n'est pas la même, et qu'ils pensent faire des économies en allumant le chauffage seulement quelques heures en fin de journée.
Quand je suis chez moi en Suisse, je ne crains jamais le froid, parce que l'isolation de ma maison est bonne et le chauffage constant, même si pas très haut. Du coup, il fait meilleur que dans n'importe quel appartement/maison où j'ai pu me rendre en Italie, que ce soit par manque d'isolation ou de chauffage.
De plus, en Sicile le climat est très humide. Si on n'a pas l'habitude de cette humidité, on ressent encore plus la sensation de froid. La dernière fois que j'y suis allée en hiver, c'était un mois de janvier. Et j'ai eu froid. Mais contrairement à ce qu'on pourrait penser, je n'ai pas eu froid dehors pendant la journée, mais bien le soir à l'intérieur. C'est la raison pour laquelle je préconise d'emporter un gros pull chaud.
L'habituel française qui offense les Italiens. Ne venez pas en vacances en Italie que nous pouvons faire sans des gens comme vous!

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).

The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
