Il y a plus d'ingénieurs informatique à Bangalore que dans toute la Silicon Valley californienne. Tous les poids-lourds mondiaux de l' I.T. sont présents. Infosys a été créé ici.
Des tas d'entreprises plus ou moins importantes sous-traitent ici depuis plus de 15 ans, pour autant vos interlocuteurs perdront vite patience si vous ne comprenez pas ce qu'ils disent....mettez-vous très rapidement à l'anglais!

Les commentaires de L'Entreprise ne sont que l'écho d'une vaste polémique, une partie de bras de fer qui s'est lancée entre les grands patrons des firmes citées et le gouvernement local du Karnataka. "Electronic City" souhaite la réalisation rapide d'un certain nombre de projets d'infrastructure retardés pour diverses raisons.
Bangalore est un peu victime de son succès et a pris un peu de retard au niveau de certaines infrastructures (transports en commun et infrastructures routières) si on compare à Delhi par exemple. Les infrastructures insuffisantes frappent l'Inde toute entière et n'est pas propre à Bangalore, loin de là. Les géants de l'électronique menacent d'investir un peu plus dans les autres villes citées au détriment sans doute de Bangalore mais sûrement pas de délocaliser... L'avance de Bangalore est certaine et cela encore pour de très longues années. D'ici là Bangalore aura terminé son nouvel aéroport international et son métro.
Tout va très vite ici, c'est certain. Les prix de l'immobilier ont beaucoup augmenté ces dix dernières années ainsi que les salaires (et c'est tant mieux pour les salariés...). Pour les chefs d'entreprises c'est l'Eldorado! (et je pèse mes mots!) la "vieille Europe" n'a sans doute jamais connu ça. En tout cas, moi, je savoure mon heure de bouchon quotidienne...
Bangalore est l'une des métropoles indiennes les moins polluées (rien à voir avec Delhi, Ahmadabad ou Mumbai), cela ne veut pas dire qu'elle ne soit pas trop polluée. Les allergies et l'asthme font rage ici.
Autre argument de poids: son climat salubre. On est à mille mètres d'altitude et on a la clim' dans la rue neuf mois de l'année. On n'a jamais aucune innondation désastreuse pendant la mousson et les grandes chaleurs de mars à mai ne dépassent jamais les 38 degrés. Aucune autre ville ne peut rivaliser à ce sujet (sauf peut-être la petite Mysore, pas très loin d'ici).
On est bien à Bangalore, d'autres villes ne manquent pas d'atouts, je pense particulièrement à Chennai. Mais rien ne me fera abandonner cette ville facile à vivre et pleine de promesses.
