C'est mon premier voyage sur les iles canaries, pas évident de choisir entre Tenerife, Lanzarote et Fuerteventura, j'ai choisi finalement Fuerteventura pour le calme et surtout la beauté de ses plages ! Je vais dans un hôtel à la Playa de Jandia.
Questions :
- L'île est plutôt réputée pour ses vents forts. Quelle est la densité des vents début Juin ? Ne serait pas un inconvénient vue que je pars avec mon bébé de 7 mois ?
Dans ce cas, il serait peut être plus judicieux de séjourner en Lanzarote (Plage de Papagayo) et visiter Fuerteventura (Plage de Corralejo) en journée !
Pour le vent, ça dépend de la météo... Quel temps fera t il à Trifouilli les Oies le 15 juin de 10 h à 18h ?

Fuerteventura porte bien son nom : "vent fort", pour la voile, planche à voile, kite etc...
Pour te rassurer, les hôtels de Fuerte sont construits pour abriter les clients du vent, au moins au bord des piscines
Idem pour les terrasses des restos etc...
Le but est de mettre le touriste à l'aise, pour qu'il se sente bien, consomme et revienne !
Pour la plage, c'est comme dans les Landes, tu mets un paravent pour te protéger
Par contre, ton bébé risque de "griller" au soleil, protège le bien
A ton arrivée tu croisera des Scandinaves à la peau bien laiteuse transformés en homards et qui vont se cacher à l'ombre le reste du séjour ! 😎
Sur le fond, je trouve que Lanzarote est plus intéressante pour un séjour balnéaire et promenade que Fuerte qui est plus axé sport
Prendre le bateau pour visiter l'île voisine 1/2 journée n'apporte rien de particulier, à part le plaisir du changement
Sinon, Tenerife est l'île la plus complète : selon le point de chute c'est balnéaire ou repos ou randonnées
Gran Canaria; c'est ou fiesta pour les jeunes ou long séjour pour les seniors
La Goméra, c'est randonnées
Le nom 'Fuerteventura' n'a rien à voir avec ' Vents forts ' ! ! !
Il signifie : Forte aventure ...
Le fait est qu'il y a parfois du vent, pas plus en juin qu'à un autre moment : tout dépend de l'année, du jour , ... ; il n'y en n'a ni plus ni moins qu'à Lanzarote , toute proche : un détroit d'une trentaine de kms les sépare . Cependant , Fuerte est globalement plate alors que Lanzarote a un relief bien plus prononcé et donc, le vent est moins perceptible si vous êtes à l'abri d'un roc ...
La plupart du temps , on est content d'avoir un peu de vent qui rafraîchit et permet de demeurer au soleil ! ( on est près des côtes africaines ) .
Contrairement à l'avis précédent , je vous dirai que Fuerte est plus renommé pour ses plages, qui font penser, sur la côte est, aux paysages paradisiaques : grande étendue de sable blanc, eaux turquoises .
la personne qui vous a répondu pense certainement aux spots de surf , sur l'autre côte et au nord ( vagues et sable noir ) .
Lanzarote est plus renommée pour les randonnées, à cause des nombreux volcans et du relief accidenté .
Avec un petit enfant , je choisirais l'une ou l'autre ; pas de passer 1 journée en ferry, bus ou voiture et rebelote le soir .
Lanzarote et Fuerteventura sont des îles venteuses.
Le vent permet d'ailleurs de rendre supportable à certains moments les températures chaudes aux Canaries.
Mais attention de toujours bien vous protéger du soleil, particulièrement votre bébé de 7 mois, car même quand le ciel est voilé aux Canaries, les rayons solaires continuent à traverser les nuages.
Prévoyez donc une crème de soleil avec un indice élevé.
Voilà mon mariage aura lieu fin décembre et avec mon conjoint nous voudrons aller en voyage de noce dans un pays où nous pourrons trouver du soleil et au moins…
Nous partons à fuerteventura (Costa Calma) le 12 mars 2016 et nous souhaitons savoir la température à cette période? Est il possible de bronzer et se baigner…

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
