enfin, si vous pouviez m'aiguiller, pour l'instant le budget n'est pas encore déterminé, mais nous partirons 18 à 24 jours,

Vaste programme!, qui mériterait d'être un peu plus affiné ! Ce sont des destinations totalement différentes avec une climatologie elle aussi différente. L'Amérique du Sud d'un côté, l'Asie de l'autre, cultures et paysages différents là aussi. Nous avons déjà fait Thaïlande, Bali, Inde du Nord au Sud, Sri Lanka et aussi Patagonie chilienne et argentine, Pérou, Sud de la Bolivie, Nord du Chili et Nord-Ouest Argentin. Quelle serait votre manière de voyager : plutôt sac à dos ou un peu plus élaboré…Nous partons avec mon épouse au mois de Novembre pour le Nord de l'Argentine et passerons une quinzaine au Chili dans la région d'Atacama.
Si cela peut vous aider, le voyage est "calé" et le budget établi. Nous partons sans agence avec
transport en bus de Buenos Aires à Salta, plus au Nord. Location de voiture, 2 fois 10 jours et 1 fois 5 jours. En gros nous partons pour 1 mois (Nous sommes retraités)
Si je peux vous faire partager notre expérience sur les voyages que nous avons fait, ce sera avec grand plaisir. Enfin pour terminer, si vous souhaitez voir des paysages sauvages et fabuleux, Chili / Argentine me semblerait un bon choix. Au mois de Septembre, c'est le dernier mois de l'hiver et selon la région, la météo a son importance. Peut être à bientôt.

je rentre à peine d'un long week end, et j'ai pu pendant un moment de tranquillité chercher les vols sur toutes les destinations, donc, après avoir vu le billet d'avion, avec mon époux, j'ai retenu la thailande, je pense partir le 2 septembre jusqu'au 23, je sais que le climat ne sera pas top dans le nord, mais bon tant pis, j'ai déjà fait l'inde en pleine mousson
Donc, je suis preneuse de bonnes infos, il est vrai que je commence à être difficile, car je n'aime pas les voyages de groupes, mais j'aime faire ma propre découverte, et surtout être dans des endroits de charme, pas luxueux systématiquement mais quelque chose de bucolique
voici en résumé les voyages que j'ai déjà effectué:
l'Australie durant un mois en camping car, l'Inde du nord au sud le mexique , ainsi que la chine, Hong kong, plusieurs états aux USA, les antilles ainsi que la norvège en croisière durant 3 semaines, sur le renaissance, et l'Europe bien entendu, ainsi que la Tunisie et Maroc,
Le budget n'est pas encore déterminé, par contre j'ai retenu les billets pour bangkok par la THAI
mon fils qui s'y est rendu il y a quelques années, s'est rendu au cambodge, qu'il a beaucoup aimé,

Je vois que nous avons une même vision des vacances et ce depuis toujours. Au début nous partions via une agence de voyage, mais au fil des années, nous avons appris à voyager par nos propres moyens, ce qui apporte un plus. Sable blanc et cocotiers, ce n'est pas notre truc. (Peut être l'âge, bientôt 70 ans l'un et l'autre ) Plutôt sortir des sentiers battus nous convient d'avantage. Nous avons fait la Thaïlande il y a quelques années. C'est un très beau pays ou les gens sont très sympas. Le Nord est beaucoup plus joli, à notre gout.
Si un jour vous souhaitez partir en Amérique du Sud, nous pourrons vous faire part de nos expériences.
Pour info, 1 mois en Nord Argentin et Nord Chili : Budget de 6150€ départ du Lot et retour avec location de voiture (3 fois) transports en bus, restos, hôtel et souvenirs.
Dans tous les cas, bon séjour en Thaïlande.

Nous voulons faire quelques safaris, aller dans les villages, les montagnes, voir les plantations de thé, ... Mais aussi voir les tortues. Nous adorons le snorkeling mais ne sommes pas de grands connaisseurs, on est juste contents de voir des poissons plein de couleurs et des coraux. On a toujours voulu voir des tortues aussi. Donc l'idée c'est quand même d'y voir quelque chose sous leau 😊

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
