Je suis partie début novembre 4 jours à Marrakech car le Maroc me manquait énormément.
En ce moment la Coop22 se tient à Marrakech et la ville est parsemée de drapeaux marocains et de beaucoup, beaucoup de policiers.
Donc, inutile de vous dire que l'on s'y sent plus qu'en sécurité. D'ailleurs, c'est à partir de la semaine prochaine que les Chefs d'Etats se retrouveront tous à Marrakech.
Je ne sais pas si à vous aussi les amoureux du Maroc que vous êtes, cela vous fait la même chose qu'à moi, mais moi, dès que je vois que l'avion survole l'Andalousie, j'ai de plus en plus hâte d'arriver, je me sent heureuse et envahie d'une joie qui fait plaisir à voir car je sais que je vais bien manger😊😊 Oui, vous l'aurez compris, j'adore la cuisine marocaine !!
Je n'ai pas manquer de faire une razzia sur les pâtisseries, j'en ai mangé beaucoup et, j'en ai ramené 7 boîtes, sans parler du couscous & tajines à 30 ou 35 Dhs autour de JEF, autant ne pas s'en priver, là aussi, je me suis "éclater" le ventre 😛😛
Près de chez nous, il n'y a qu'au Maroc que l'on peut manger à ces prix là. 2.90 eur à 3.20 eur tajines ou couscous, même l'Espagne ou le Portugal sont bien plus onéreux.
Quant aux pdj, eux aussi étaient pantagruéliques, le pain marocain et les crêpes 1000 trous, un vrai délice, bien entendu, le tout accompagné d'un bon jus d'oranges.
Le soir, lorsque je rentrais à pied dans la médina pour rejoindre le riad où je logeais, à aucun moment je me suis sentie en insécurité alors qu'ici, en France, je ne suis pas rassurée, comme quoi... !!
Au retour, à l'aéroport de Marrakech (je suppose que dans les autres aéroports du pays c'est pareil), il y a avant d'entrée dans l'aéroport, un portique avec scanner sur lequel votre valise et sac-à-mains sont passés au rayons X.
De plus, vous ne pouvez pas avoir accès à l'aéroport, si vous n'êtes pas muni d'un titre de transport. Ce portique n'était pas encore en place au printemps dernier.
Ce message est surtout à l'attention de ceux qui hésitent encore à se rendre au Maroc pour X raisons et à qui je dirai, je me sent bien plus en sécurité au Maroc qu'en France.

pour les drapeaux il y a aussi le fait que le 6 novembre est fête nationale pour fêter la marche verte . J'ai eu des drapeaux rouges dans tout le sud , et nous avons meme assisté à un défilé des enfants avec drapeaux rouges et Coran à la main pour fêter cet événement dans les rues d'El'Ouatia ( plage de Tan Tan)!
Le scanner de l'aéroport n'est pas très efficace , j'avais oublié mon couteau de poche dans mon sac et il est passé comme une fleur 😉
Je ferais un retour plus tard de ces quinze jours dans le Sud , le temps d'organiser mes photos , mais j'ai eu le même sentiment de sécurité que toi .
Oui, c'est vrai, tu as raison, j'ai totalement zappée la Marche Verte.
Quant au scanner, si ton petit canif est passé, en effet, il n'est pas très efficace, de là à dire qu'il est donc là pour plus rassurer le touriste qu'autre chose, il n'y a donc peut-être qu'un pas.
Par contre, à la douane, j'ai eu à faire à un jeunot plus que tatillons qui n'a pas hésiter à me faire sortir toutes mes affaires de mon sac-à-mains, il à même ouvert mon portefeuille et mon petit calepin sur lequel j'écris mes rdv😠😠
C'est pour cette raison que mon hôtel habituel est complet et que j'ai eu du mal à trouver un logement dans le même prix. Là , je suis à 30 euros la nuit. Rien d'autre....Pas prendre le risque d'y aller sans réservation la semaine prochaine......

Je vois que tu es une amoureuse du Maroc, vu le nombre de fois que tu y es allé : waouuuu !!!
Par contre, nous ne sommes pas les mêmes voyageuses, toi tu aimes les randonnées, bivouac, moi, celà, c'est tout ce que je fuie, ayant besoin de mon confort (un bon lit, douche chaude...).
Oui, bon nombre d'établissements hôtels, riads sont complets en ce moment. La COOP22, c'est une conférence internationale sur le climat qui a lieu cette année à Marrakech.
Je vais prendre le temps de lire tes comptes-rendus sur tes séjours au Maroc...

C'est pourquoi, cette fois, j'ai pris hôtel avec chauffage (ou riad à Marrakech) mais ça a un prix: 30€ la nuit au lieu de 10 ou 15 parfois dans des logements non chauffés....
Mais bon, partir ne veut pas toujours dire "économie".... Enfin, chacun son voyage. Et les miens, même si j'adore bouger ... Deviennent de plus en plus "onéreux" tant pis.... c'est un choix.

on peut aller voir ce qui se passe dans la "zone verte" réservé à la société civile, (la zone bleue étant celle des officiels en tout genre). on a le badge sans problèmes. sur place.
des associations, des jeunes entrepreneurs marocains avec plein d’idées et d'enthousiasme, c’était sympa, et à la sortie sur le grand terre plein, des animations folkloriques comme s'il en pleuvait, avec des groupes venant des 4 coins du Maroc.
des bus navettes gratuit vous ramènent à DEFna.
on s'y est rendues en "petit taxi" mais les navettes doivent faire l'aller aussi je pense?

Quant à ton futur voyage au Nord, cela va te changer de tes escapades bien plus au Sud. Perso, je n'arrive pas me rendre en Europe de l'Est, encore moins en Asie, trop peur d'être déçue, mais aussi avant tout je crois, parce que je ne suis pas attirée...

J'ai une question pour celles et ceux qui se rendent plus souvent que moi au Maroc, la voici, du moins, c'est un long chapitre sur la "désertion" paraît-il des touristes français :
Dans l'avion (RAM), à l'aller comme au retour, il y avait bon nombre de sièges vides. Je me suis dite que c'était peut-être du au fait que nous étions en période creuse (novembre).
Je me suis rendue compte lors de mes 4 jours sur place qu'il y avait pas mal de touristes espagnols, anglais, asiatiques (chinois ou japonais, je ne sais pas), américains et Pays de l'Est.
Je me suis rendue compte également que la plupart des passagers dans l'avion, étaient pour la plupart, soit des personnes ayant une "affaire" (travail) sur Marrakech, soit venaient y occuper un bien immobilier.
D'ailleurs, j'ai discuté avec un monsieur dans l'avion, propriétaire d'un appartement qui m'a dit que les français ne venaient plus et qu'il avait du venir à Marseille pour prendre l'avion (RAM), alors que résidant à Narbonne, il avait pour habitude de partir soit de Toulouse, soit de Gérone, les deux lignes RAM & Ryanair étant fermées m'a-t-il dit...
Par contre, de son côté, il m'a dit être assez confiant sur la stabilité du pays et qu'il comptait bien continuer à profiter de son bien immobilier.
J'ai discuté avec une personne ayant un riad qui m' a dit que par ordre de nationalité au sein de son riad, ce décompte comme tel : anglais, américains, français.
J'ai vu sur le tarmac de l'aéroport Ménara qu'Iberia opère un vol quotidien pour Madrid, idem pour British Airways, la TAP, Brussels Airlines également.

My plan is roughly to do a road trip loop from Rabat back to Rabat, passing through Asilah, Tangier, Tétouan, Chefchaouen, Akchour, Fès, Meknès, and Volubilis.
That’s a lot of cities.
Probably a bit too many for our taste—we usually prefer more isolated spots...

Instead, I suddenly stopped getting replies from the three or four people I’d contacted. So now I’m wondering about the reception former Pieds-Noirs can expect...

- Does it need to cover the entire duration of the trip?
- Is this document mandatory for a hotel to rent a room?

- Is a hotel booking (e.g., via Booking.com) sufficient for the visa?
- If so, does it need to be paid in advance?
I plan to visit several cities and do one or more treks with a guide or agency.

I’d like to do a route that’s a bit different from my first stay, which was more focused on cities and culture (Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, El Jem).
I’ll be getting around by public transport.
I’d like to head south toward Tozeur, and I saw that you can take a *louage* from Monastir to Sbeitla (2h30). I imagine it’s not too complicated to get to Tozeur from there afterward? The issue is the return trip to Monastir and safety in Sbeitla.
If this route seems too complicated, I might opt for Djerba instead, which looks simpler.

Day 8: Stop in Meknes and possibly visit the historic site of Volubilis
Day 9-10: Rabat (I’ve heard mixed things... some good, some bad)
After that, I have the choice of heading back to Tangier for my return flight... or going down to Agadir (also a possible return flight) and extending my trip by 5 days :)
From what I can tell, everything is well connected by bus (CTM) or train (ONCF).
Another question: Is the vibe in Moroccan youth hostels for meeting people the same as what you’d find in Western Europe?

(though there are fraudulent sites out there). On the official site, they ask for legitimate info
(name, nationality, etc.). What made me go "hmm" was the request for both an email address
AND a password (with confirmation). Is this normal?

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.
In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.
1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.
2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.
3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.
4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.
5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.
6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

I’m planning my next trip outside Europe for next year, but unfortunately, I don’t have a choice with the dates—it’s late June to early July. Last year, I went to Japan for three weeks, and it was constantly 36-37°C with over 90% humidity. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t impossible either.
For Egypt, I know it’s a period to avoid if possible, but I’m thinking that by the sea, it might be manageable. Otherwise, I’ll consider another destination.
