Hello everyone, Controversial topic? Not necessarily—maybe just a reflection on a world to come. I spent the last 15 days of August on a cruise in Greenland, from Kangerlussuaq to Tasiilaq. I was utterly amazed by this unique world of rock and ice, the little houses in every color, a simple life that’s also complicated by isolation and climate, among other things... I carry in my heart the kindness of the people I met, the raw and gentle majesty of the icebergs, the colors of the sky...

So, I can’t even imagine a massive presence of raw material prospectors, heavy machinery requiring roads to be built—if that’s even possible—changing their way of life... putting sled dogs out to pasture!

Do fast food and Greenland’s northern lights really mix?

I wouldn’t trade my memories for an ESTA!

All opinions are respectable, which is why this isn’t a controversy—but I’m sorry, I have a soft spot for *my* Greenland.

Hello everyone! Photo taken at the end of August off the coast of Tasiilaq (eastern Greenland). This is that kind of halo surrounding the top of this iceberg (it’s the only one I saw like this out of thousands). It’s apparently a light diffraction effect combined with moisture freezing above the iceberg. Estimated height of the iceberg: 30 m. Have a great day!

So, depending on my physical abilities, I’d love to visit the Icefjord from Ilulissat. Do any of you know if there’s a way to get there by vehicle, off the main paths? I just got back from a little cruise that took me to Oslo, among other places. Pure coincidence had it that on April 6th, the City Hall was open for visits, and I found myself surrounded by Norwegians—men, women, and even very young children—all dressed in traditional outfits. Clearly, there was some kind of special ceremony going on, because they all went upstairs for... something? A woman told me it wasn’t religious (which I suspected), but then what was that moment all about? Thanks—I don’t like being left in the dark! Have a great day, everyone!

Hi everyone, Little cruise heading north... First stop: Copenhagen. There’s a good chance the boat will dock at OCEAN QUAY, which is over 5 km away from the Little Mermaid! Hi everyone, Actually, the stopover is Zeebrugge, of course, but my destination is Bruges. I’ll go from the ship to Bruges by the bus provided by the cruise line (CFC), and I’d like to know exactly where the bus drops us off (I assume it’s south of the city, but I really don’t know). Since walking isn’t always easy for me, this will help me plan my routes a bit in advance. Thanks in advance!

J'avais à l'époque, posé la question de sa signification sur le forum, mais pas vraiment de réponse satisfaisante. Reste mon interrogation, donc je "reviens à la charge " avec cette photo. Azur croisières a été rachetée par Cruiseline depuis environ le mois de juin. Sur lueur site, l'adresse se trouve à Mionaco, ça on le sait. Ce que je voudrais savoir c'est si l'adresse physique à Cagnes sur mer existe toujours et / ou si la correspondance mail arrive à Cagnes sur mer ou à Monaco.

Le hasard total de mes "promenades " sur le net m'ont amené à un article du Huffington post qui explique que le centre mémorial d'Auschwitz a été contraint de faire un " rappel à l'ordre " devant la recrudescence des visiteurs ( comme si on visitait en ce lieu ! ) faisant des selfies devant la porte, devant les bâtiments, devant des photos de prisonniers décharnés, sur les rails....

J'ai eu peine à le croire et en regardant sur G images en tapant selfie Auschwitz, j'ai pu constater le summum de la honte ! Déjà, cette mode des selfies m'agace un peu, mais alors là, cela dépasse mon entendement et le respect qui doit prévaloir en ce lieu.
