Nous hésitons entre le Kirghizistan, l'Ouzbekistan ou la Mongolie comme destination pour l'année prochaine. J'ai listé ci-dessous quelques infos sur nos goûts. D'avance merci pour vos avis ... sachant que ceux qui répondent risquent ensuite d'être assaillis de questions 😉.

Donc voilà les infos : C'est pour environ 3 semaines l'été prochain (juillet ou août) Nous voyagerons avec nos deux enfants qui auront 9 ans Nous avons l'habitude des voyages en solo ... et nous adorons ça ! Question budget, nous aimerions rester "raisonnables" Nous aimons à la fois les grands espaces, les villages et les contacts humains et le partage des cultures, et les sites à visiter tant que l'on ne fait pas que ça, Nous adorons voyager chez l'habitant et partager les transports locaux tant que cela n'est pas trop "galère" (cf ci-dessous !) Nous détestons passer trop de temps dans les trajets (train ou bus pendant des heures et des jours ...) Nous adorons la rando !

Je pourrais vous en mettre encore des lignes vu ma passion pour les voyages, mais bon je vais arrêter pour ne pas trop vous casser les pieds

je travaille actuellement en Afrique, au Senegal, et voudrais partir quelques temps en Amerique du Sud (particulierement au Bresil, à Rio de Janeiro).

Mais voila, toutes les compagnies aeriennes que j'ai pu trouver sont des compagnies europeennes, qui font une escale en europe et donc cela revient très cher : rien vu a moins de 2300 euros.

Y a t il un moyen de faire ce trajet pas trop cher ?

À lire plusieurs messages de voyages avec des enfants, et des jeunes surtout, je regrette de ne pas être partie avant avec les miens... On part à la fin avril en Egypte avec nos 3 ados (entre 10 et 15 ans) et on aime beaucoup les voyages. Toutefois, comme beaucoup de Québécois je pense, on s'était donné quelques années pour que les enfants grandissent avant de recommencer à voyager. Voyez-vous, pour l'Egypte, ça fait quelques mois qu'on économise et on y arrive parce qu'on a deux bons jobs. Mais je connais bien des québécois qui n'ont pas été plus loin que leur belle province (pas d'intérêt peut-être, pas de sous, peur de l'inconnu que sais-je ?) et qui n'ont aucune idée des destinations que je lis sur ce forum et que je découvre : Cap Vert, Fidji, Maroc. Ça semble si facile mais comment faites-vous pour arriver ? C'est vrai que la France est plus proche de certaines destinations que nous au Québec avec l'océan à traverser.. Enfin, j'aimerais partager là-dessus et je vous le dis, à partir de maintenant, je repars à la découverte du monde !

Nous envisageons de partir au Yunnan en juillet prochain, pour environ 3 semaines. Nous sommes donc avides de vos conseils et autres informations diverses sur les endroits intéressants à voir, le climat, la santé (notamment palu ou pas palu ?), les moyens de transport, etc ...

Nous envisageons de faire cette destination à l'aventure (nous l'avons déjà fait avec nos enfants à Cuba, au Cap-Vert et en Thaïlande, et sans eux à Bali, au Kenya ou encore au VietNam), en ne réservant que l'AR et les 2 ou 3 premières nuits d'hôtel à Kunming.

Je suis en pleine réflexion car j'aimerais offrir un voyage à mon conjoint à l'occasion de ses 30 ans. Je pensais tout organiser pour lui faire la surprise et qu'il puisse en profiter pleinement. Nous avons une petite fille de 10 mois que je pensais laisser aux grands parents à cette occasion pour que nous puissions nous retrouver en amoureux... En effet, depuis sa naissance, nous ne nous sommes pas trop retrouvés, et je vois que ça commence à nous manquer...

Je n'ai pas décidé encore du nombre de jours dédiés à ce voyage (15 jours max, histoire de ne pas trop "laisser" notre petite !), ni de la période à laquelle nous partirons (mais pas avant mars 2014), ni de budget...

Je sais, c'est encore très vague mais je voulais profiter de vos idées / expériences pour débroussailler un peu le terrain...!

- Combien faut-il compter de participation aux frais ?

- Combien de temps dure la traversée ?

Ya t'il des personnes sur ce forum qui partent le 4 avril 2009 sur le méditérranéa pour la croisière de Pâques " légendes antiques ". jusqu'a présent je n'en entend pas parler. Pourtant ce sont les vacances scolaires pour la zone A, il devrait donc y avoir des français, avec des enfants en majorité . En tout cas je l'espère. josiane

Hi there! I’m in the middle of planning my first solo trip (as a woman). Do you have any ideal destinations with activities like hiking, diving, sightseeing, and easy ways to meet locals—all on a small budget?

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s had this experience before! :)

The 140th (wow!) edition of the contest is now live!

Since it’s April Fools’ month and I’m a diver at heart, I had to pick a theme around the sea and fish.

This month’s theme is: sea fishing 🙂. Deep-sea fishing, rockpooling, shore casting, shellfish & crustaceans—anything remotely related to sea fishing fits the bill 😉

Photos of fishing boats, fishing ports, fish auctions, seafood stalls, nets and trawls, lobster pots, fishermen, your kids collecting cockles, even those New Year’s oyster shells 😏—no limits as long as it ties into the theme 😛 And of course, a special shout-out to anglers worldwide! 🙂

I’m traveling right now, so I don’t have many photos on hand. To illustrate the theme, I’ve chosen this shot of a small Vietnamese fishing boat I spotted near the Cham Islands, returning from a dive.

From ore to rockets, wire to the Eiffel Tower—or in a pinch, even a self-portrait at the bottom of a spoon—the theme is broad enough that you should be able to come up with at least three ideas pretty easily! Sure, things might get tricky when it’s time to vote, but that could just be a sign of a successful contest, right?! But we’re not there yet.

For the past two months, I’ve been checking flight ticket prices to spend 4.5 weeks in Thailand from early July to early August. I’m traveling from Brussels with a young child, so I want to avoid layovers. That’s why I’m only looking at Thai Airways’ website and only choosing direct flights.

At the end of August, I saw tickets for 955 € per person. On October 1st, they were 1,225 €. Today (October 22nd), the price is the same as on October 1st. (Same dates: Departure: July 4th, Return: August 7th.)

My question is: Is it possible these prices will drop significantly in the coming months?

Note: I clear my browser cache before every search, which I always do during the week and in the evening. This time, I also checked with my work computer, which has a VPN. So, the price isn’t influenced by cookies.

This is the excursion we shouldn’t have done in Mauritius.

We did it with The Friendly Dodo, but from what I saw, it’s the same with most agencies.

Departure at 6 a.m. (even though the sun rises at 7 a.m. in August). Why? Because there’s only one well-known spot where the dolphins are, and all the agencies race to get there first. For 45 to 60 minutes, it’s just straight-line navigation to the spot. No one’s looking for dolphins—we’re just speeding there in silence, full throttle. Once we arrive, there are already 5-6 boats. The dolphins are there, sure. The boats fight for the best position, cutting off the dolphins’ path, and then—go, go, go—everyone jumps in. Not a single instruction is given on how to approach the dolphins respectfully. Result: everyone jumps in at the same time from 3 boats, creating a huge splash, and rushes toward the dolphins. Outcome: faced with this chaos, the dolphins dive, and you can’t see them from the boat anymore. The swimmers who are right in their path might see them pass below for a few seconds at best. Everyone climbs back onto the boats, and as soon as the dolphins resurface, the same cycle starts all over again. After 5 or 6 jumps like this (3 of which I didn’t even see the dolphins), it’s back to the port the same way we came. Not a single explanation is given during the entire excursion about the dolphins themselves or how to approach them. Safety-wise, I didn’t feel comfortable either with all the boats fighting for position. I bumped into another boat (no pain) while swimming, and I wasn’t reassured about the propellers. With all this circus, my daughters didn’t even want to get in the water. The problem is, when you stay on the boat, you don’t get much out of it either—because as soon as the dolphins resurface, everyone jumps in haphazardly and scares them off again. Having done the same kind of outing in Réunion, I can confirm it’s nothing like this (much better organized and ultimately much more rewarding in Réunion).

Under these conditions, this is an activity we never should’ve done! !
