Les billets d’avion sont pris, le voyage se passera du mercredi 03 Juillet 2019, arrivée Montréal 12h20 au jeudi 25 Juillet 2019 décollage de Montréal à 20h50. Budget avion : 1358 euros, bagages et sièges compris, billets pris directement sur Air Canada . Il y avait moins cher par Air Transat ou Corsair mais pas tellement moins et nous avions apprécier Air Canada en 2017.
Pour la location de voiture , J’ai regardé chez Budget, l’agence d’Outremont, en direct et j’ai trouvé un Ford Escape pour 683€ du 04/07 au 23/07/2019, ce qui me semble très correct . Passons au trajet:

Alors là j’ai besoin de vous . Je ne sais trop où me poser en sachant qu’on y reste 4 nuits et donc presque 4 jours . J’avais un peu regretté en 2017 lors de notre séjour en Nouvelle Angleterre de ne pas être restés en bord de mer et en profiter : mon petit bonheur à moi c’est de lire au bord de l’eau et mon mari de faire sa commère en observant ses semblables ...😎 L’hôtel n’est donc pas réservé , les prix au bord de mer étant assez élevé ...😥 Quels sont vos endroits préférés entre New Haven et Newport et avez vous un point de chute entre 150 et 200 € par nuit. Oui oui j’ai déjà écumé les sites spécialisés, Google m. Km par km , j’en ai trouvé mais rien ne ressort de mon cerveau ...
J11-J12-J13 : sur place, visites du coin le matin et plage l’après midi. J’ai noté Yale à New Haven, l’école des garde-côtes à New London- Mais peut-on la visiter ? Mystic et son musée maritime , Newport ....

J15-J16 Boston C’est une ville coup de cœur , on voulait s’y poser tranquillement et cette fois on ira voir les RedSocks au Fenway Park.
J17 vendredi 19 Juillet 2019 Boston-Brattleboro-Bennington par la route 9 Balade dans le Molly Stark SP 2 nuits à Bennington au Paradis Inn pour 165€ les 2 nuits. Visites prévues : LE MUSÉE DES PONTS COUVERTS ah ah ah et autres ponts , cimetières et monuments..
Voilà pour le moment , je sais que c’est un peu tordu de demander l’avis des gens quand on a déjà réservé des hôtels-non annulables bien sûr - sur le parcours mais j’ai lu et relu tout ce que je pouvais trouver sur ces coins là et ça a été rapide car peu de littérature à se mettre sous la dent et j’ai bien fait la fonction recherche du forum mais cela reste bien maigre...j’ai essayé d’etre la plus cohérente possible dans le trajet . N’hésitez pas pour les conseils , je prends toutes vos idées 💡 Merci d’avance.

J'ai réservé cette croisière Costa pour le 26 avril 2013. Nous serons deux, ma fille âgée de 11 ans et moi-même. Si d'autres personnes font cette croisière, ca serait sympa de se connaitre un peu avant.

Croisière à bord du MSC Orchestra le 30 août
Bonojour le 30 août nous allons partir pour notre première croisière et ce sera a bord du MSC Orchestra. Au début ca devait être sur le Costa Magica mais il n'y avais plus de places. Si des personnes serons a bord à cette période ce serais sympa de faire connaissances avant le départ.

Hi, this might not be the right section, but I’d like to know if it’s possible to start mountaineering with another person without necessarily hiring a guide. We’ve done quite a bit of hiking but not mountaineering—we’ll just do a half-day glacier course. After that, we were thinking of starting with La Grande Motte and the Pointe de la Traversière, which were recommended to us. Honestly, for things like roping up and knots, I’ll learn at home with lots of videos and a book.

Our son, currently in Central America, will board a sailboat on 04/16 to cross the Atlantic. He’s expected to arrive around 05/31 in Port-Saint-Louis-du-Rhône, and we’d like to welcome him on the day he arrives.
I’m looking for accommodation in the area for a few days around that date, from which we can explore the Camargue. We’ll be bringing our e-bikes.
Could you tell me which towns to look in and which areas to avoid, please? I think Port-Saint-Louis isn’t a great option if we want to avoid the toll for the ferry every time we leave by car.

Lyon Part-Dieu: TGV to TER transfer in 26 minutes
Hi there,
I’m a bit late to be worrying about this, but hopefully someone can help me before I leave.
Tomorrow afternoon, I arrive at Lyon Part-Dieu on the TGV at 5:50 PM and take the TER to Mâcon at 6:16 PM. Is a 26-minute transfer doable? Are the TGV and TER on the same departure board? And are they on the same platforms too?
I’ve been to Lyon before but never had to make a connection after arriving.

Lake Bourget: The Parachuting Nightmare
If you're walking around the southern part of Lake Bourget, you can't escape the noise from a parachuting club's planes. A group of climate skeptics actually takes off in small, very noisy aircraft every 15 minutes over a Natura 2000 classified area. They don’t seem to face any restrictions—neither for noise nor for greenhouse gas emissions. They occupy the airspace without paying fuel taxes or providing carbon compensation to local municipalities or environmental preservation associations, apparently. It sounds surreal, but it’s very real in such an important location.
Lake Bourget and nature reserve
A really nice nature walk at the entrance to the lake in the Natura 2000-listed nature reserve. It’s a great opportunity to see lots of bird species, plants, and the famous European pond turtle, as well as some beautiful medieval architecture remnants with Thomas II’s castle. The walk is slightly spoiled by the noise from the Savoie parachute club’s planes, which take off every fifteen minutes and dump fuel on the site non-stop, even after nightfall.

Sleeping in a mountain hut—the best way to experience the mountains
Hiking in Vanoise National Park is already magical, but spending a night in a refuge? That’s sacred. I recommend the glacier tour, a 4- to 7-day trek with stops at huts like L’Arpont, Dent Parrachée, or Leisse. The food’s great, you’ll meet other hikers, and in the early morning, when the sun lights up the peaks, I guarantee you won’t be thinking about your emails. Even a single night at Refuge du Fond d’Aussois or La Valette is enough to unplug.
High-altitude lakes: when the peaks reflect in the water
High-altitude lakes are a bit like my madeleine de Proust. I love climbing up early in the morning when everything’s still quiet. Lac Blanc, starting from Termignon, is a pretty accessible hike, often punctuated by the whistling of marmots. Wilder, Lac de la Glière near Champagny-en-Vanoise is one of my favorite spots for a picnic far from everything.
Glacial valleys—my breath of fresh air
I often go there to reconnect with the mountains, especially when I want a spectacular setting without hours of climbing. The Orgère valley, starting from Saint-André in Maurienne, is a gem. Easy to access, super wild, with its Swiss pine trees and singing streams... You’re instantly immersed in the alpine atmosphere. A little higher up, from Val Cenis/Termignon, I recommend the Cirque du Génépy. It’s an old glacial landscape just the way we love it: rocks smoothed by ice, near-total silence, and a real sense of the end of the world.
Glacier mountaineering at the heart of the ice
For the more athletic (and always with a guide, of course), climbing the Grande Casse, 3,855 m, remains a legendary goal. I’ve only done it once, but what a rush! You’ll need crampons, an ice axe, and good fitness, but the view up there is indescribable. There are also more accessible glacial routes around Pointe de la Réchasse or the Dôme de Chasseforêt.
Gateways to Vanoise National Park
Bonneval-sur-Arc... this little village perched at 1,835 meters, I never get tired of it. It’s kept its charm: stone houses, slate roofs, fountains... It’s simple, everything’s beautiful. It’s also a great base for hiking in the park. And then there’s Pralognan-la-Vanoise, my favorite gateway. It’s a mountain village just the way I like them—quiet streets, typical chalets, and above all, direct access to incredible landscapes.

For the more athletic (and always with a guide, of course), climbing the Grande Casse, 3,855 m, remains a legendary goal. I’ve only done it once, but what a rush! You’ll need crampons, an ice axe, and good fitness, but the view up there is indescribable. There are also more accessible glacial routes around Pointe de la Réchasse or the Dôme de Chasseforêt.
Gateways to Vanoise National Park
Bonneval-sur-Arc... this little village perched at 1,835 meters, I never get tired of it. It’s kept its charm: stone houses, slate roofs, fountains... It’s simple, everything’s beautiful. It’s also a great base for hiking in the park. And then there’s Pralognan-la-Vanoise, my favorite gateway. It’s a mountain village just the way I like them—quiet streets, typical chalets, and above all, direct access to incredible landscapes.
