nous allons partir avec China airlines (compagnie Taiwanaise), savez vous si c'est avec cette compagnie qu'il y a des gros problèmes de sécurité ou est-ce Air China ?????

Je suis actuellement à HK, à la base pour visiter, mais là çà me semble fortement compromis ... Je reviens vers vous un peu en détresse car je me suis blessé à la cheville. J'ai pas vraiment mal mais impossible de marcher. Je ne suis pas seul mais accompagné de ma copine taiwanaise ...

Avez vous des retours sur les soins à HK ? A l hotel ils m'ont conseillé d'aller voir un docteur chinois ... soit mais peut etre qu'une radio serait mieux convenue ...

Ma deuxieme question, qu'en est il du remboursement par la sécu ? je suppose qu'il faut des documents ?

Salut tout le monde! Je projette un voyage en moto dans les steppes d'asie. Voilà, niveau moto mon premier impératif est d'ordre financier évidement. Vient ensuite la fiabilité de l'engin. Bon rien de neuf jusque là. Voilà vous serez pas étonnés, la Yamaha YBR semble pour moi. Seulement, les taiwanais on sortit une copie quasi conforme de cette dernière, et évidement 600 euros de moins chere. Donc voilà ou j'ai besoin de votre aide.

Je suis partisan de la rusticité motoristique (oh yeah) et si il y a bien quelque chose que je supporte pas c'est bien de devoir aller chez le mecano pour des ânneries du genre admission éléctronique. Et la je vois que la Yamaha a en effet une admission éléctronique. De plus elle n'a pas de kick, contrairement a la sym. BREF que pensez vous de ces deux bécanes au regard de la facilité a réparer et de la durabilité?

Je vais partir à Shanghai pendant une bonne dizaine de jours, au début du mois d'Octobre.

Je reviens vers vous pour avoir des avis sur quels endroits visiter autour de Shanghai ?!

Je retrouve ma copine (taiwanaise) qui travaille depuis peu à Shanghai et nous pourrons donc partir que 2 fois en "Week end" ;)

Notre premier choix se porte sur Suzhou (avec éventuellement un passage en même temps à Zhouzhuang - possible en 2 jours 3 nuits ?)

Pour le second choix, que sauriez vous me conseiller ? pas trop loin en temps de trajet de Shanghai (max 2 à 3 h de trajet) ?

Que recherche t on ? Quelque chose d'assez dépaysant, pas trop mort, pas trop sport, pas trop nature ? Je dis çà car j'ai pu voir Wuxi mais visiblement çà à l'air assez calme comme endroit ? Bref ... Dites moi ;)

Nanjing ? Hangzhou ? .. ? .. ? .. ?

PS: Désolé si j'ai heurté certaines sensibilités avec des aprioris rapides ;)

We’re thinking of spending 3 weeks in Asia this fall to visit some of the major capitals on this vast continent. We’d like to get a (very rough) sense of just how fast Asia is moving compared to what we see in the West (we’re from Quebec). For now, our very preliminary list includes Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. There are obviously plenty of other options—Seoul, Shanghai, etc.

Hi everyone, Okay, here I go—I haven’t done a cruise review in ages, and even longer since I’ve posted one on this forum. So, this is kinda your fault, Catherine, if I’m getting back into it... I just hope I haven’t lost my touch!

It’s a transatlantic cruise, so there are a lot of sea days. That means this review will mostly focus on the ship, especially the "Haven" section, which doesn’t get much coverage on this forum. There’ll definitely be some comparisons with MSC’s Yacht Club, since they’re direct competitors.

This will be my third cruise with NCL—a company I really love—but my first in The Haven.

My two previous cruises were on smaller ships: the NCL Sun for the Chilean fjords and the NCL Spirit in February 2025 in Asia, departing from Taiwan and arriving in Korea. I *loved* the Spirit.

This trip was booked almost last-minute in early October for late November, after I had to cut short my August trip for medical reasons.

At first, when I looked at this cruise, I hadn’t specifically decided to go for The Haven. I wanted a relaxing cruise but still with destinations I hadn’t been to before. I kinda stumbled upon this one, and the itinerary appealed to me. I also found the balcony cabin price pretty good—around 2800 € for a balcony cabin (for two), all-inclusive package included. Not including flights, of course. In the end, we decided to try The Haven (obviously not the same price), but I think we got a great deal for the promised perks.

Itinerary: Departure from Lisbon, arrival in Galveston, Texas. Stops: St. Martin, St. Thomas, La Romana, Cabo Rojo, Falmouth in Jamaica.

We’re planning to return to China next fall. Destination: Shanghai, followed by a trip through Gansu and then Hunan. I’ll admit that international flights are leaving me a bit puzzled—I’m wondering how far in advance I should book to get the best deals. For most other international destinations, I usually book 6 to 9 months ahead, but for China, it’s a whole different story... For example, when I look at flight comparisons, the best prices are around 500 € or even less for departures within the next 3 months with Chinese airlines (Air China, China Southern, etc.). Not the most practical timing for planning a trip... Those same tickets jump to over 1,000 € for departures around October 20th. 🏴‍☠️ There are also flights in October at very reasonable prices with Finnair + Juneyao Airlines. Has anyone heard of them? I’m worried that if the first flight (Finnair) is delayed, it might be impossible to get rebooked on the next Juneyao flight... Anyway, if you have any recent experiences to share... 😇 Thanks in advance! !

Hi everyone, I’ve spent two solid months reading the Lonely Planet and pretty much every post about Thailand here, plus French and English blogs. Now I’d love to get your expert opinions on our itinerary. We’re heading off in August 2025 with our 7-year-old daughter. We only have a maximum of three weeks off, and I’m keeping an eye on flight prices before booking (1400 € per person really stings 😕). So here’s what I’ve planned—let me know if you spot any major issues or if I’ve been way too "optimistic."

D1 - Arrival in Bangkok / rest, quick visit, overnight stay D2 - More temple visits, etc. D3 - Morning flight to Chiang Mai D4 - More Chiang Mai sightseeing D5 - Day trip to Chiang Rai (guided tour to book: blue and white temple), return to Chiang Mai late in the evening D6 - More Chiang Mai visits / Elephant Nature Park in the afternoon D7 - Morning flight to Koh Samui, sightseeing D8 to D10 - More Koh Samui visits D11 to D13 - Ferry to Koh Phangan D14 to D15 - Ferry to Koh Tao D16 - Return to Koh Samui, then flight to Bangkok D17 - Day trip to Ayutthaya, return to Bangkok in the evening D18 - Flight back to France :(

I know a lot of you recommend heading straight to Chiang Mai to recover from the international flight, but my partner and I NEVER sleep on planes (personally, I’ve been flying to Taiwan since I was little and have never slept more than an hour on a 14-hour flight...), so it’s essential for us to rest upon arrival . That’s also why I opted for domestic flights instead of the sleeper train—I know we’d lose over 10 hours and wouldn’t be able to rest properly in those conditions. And I’m sure you’ll also say BKK > North > South is too much for three weeks, but I really want to see as much as possible. Given how much the flights will cost, I’m not sure when we’ll be able to come back 🏴‍☠️.

So, questions: 1. Since we’ll only be in Bangkok for a maximum of two nights and need to easily reach the airport with luggage (and a child), which neighborhood should we prioritize? We’d love to experience the evening vibe of Asian night markets, ideally within walking distance of the hotel or just a few metro stops away. I’ve looked at Chinatown, but the BTS seems far... Should we go for somewhere near BTS Saphan Taksin or BTS Krungthonburi? But is the area lively in the evening with food courts, etc.? We’d also like to treat ourselves to a hotel with a pool.

2. Have we planned too many days in the south? Should I skip Koh Tao and just do Koh Samui + Koh Phangan? My partner and daughter aren’t strong swimmers, so we’re looking for beautiful beaches without too much current. Crowded beaches don’t bother us—we just want stunning turquoise waters without killer waves . Going all the way to Koh Tao and then back to Koh Samui to catch the flight to Bangkok seems too stressful. Is it still possible these days (I haven’t seen any recent posts on this) to head to Koh Samui in August and decide on the spot how many nights to spend in Koh Phangan or Koh Tao based on how we feel, booking hotels as we go? Or is that too risky?

If you have any better suggestions for fitting all this in while reducing internal flights, I’m all ears for your great tips

Je souhaiterais les faire rapatrier en France, un ami chinois se propose de les envoyer mais je souhaiterais connaître les coûts. J’ai cru comprendre qu’il était possible de faire un envoi par bateau.. Je cherche le moyen le moins cher pour envoyer mes affaires si quelqu’un connaît les tarifs.. merci beaucoup!

Les lignes à destination ou en provenance de l’Asie du Sud-Est comme Singapour, la Thaïlande, l’Indonésie, le Laos, le Cambodge et le Myanmar seront suspendues depuis le 21 mars (aller et retour compris) ; vers le Royaume-Uni et le Japon depuis le 23 mars (aller et retour compris) ; l’Allemagne et l’Australie depuis le 24 mars pour aller et depuis le 25 mars pour retour.

Même chose pour Jetsar Pacific. Vietjet Air et Bamboo Airways suppriment tous leurs vols internationaux (Vietjet continue pour l'instant ses vols entre le Vietnam et le Japon, Taiwan et l'Inde).

Tout cela jusqu'au 30 avril.
