Nous sommes déjà partis en été au Canada, mais cette fois aimerions le faire en hiver... Nous envisageons une semaine ou dix jours en janvier ou mars 2006, avec au programme : Ski, Motoneige, Traîneau... Nous serons deux adultes et un enfant ( 5 ans ). Quelle "station" privilégier ? Quels sont les prix des remontées mécaniques au Canada ? Quel budget prévoir ( hors transport aérien -nous aurons des billets primes-) ? Est-il plus intéressant de passer par un voyagiste ( style V.A.Transat) ? Merci de vos réponses.

Voilà bon c'est le ras le bol général, donc il faut prendre l'air pour ne pas tomber dans la dépression, alcool, hospitalisation, mettre un manteau rose à son chien, regarder les feux de l'amour puis bachelor, aimer le pape, voter oui à la constitution.

Pour éviter un massacre j'ai donc penser prendre la route.

Voila bon j'en vient à ma question de peur de froisser quelques personnes.

La Turquie m'attire beaucoup et je désire m'y rendre d'ici quelques jours car j'ai trouver des billet d'avions vraiment intéréssant.Cela tombe bien ce pays à l'air merveilleux.Donc y aurait il des personnes qui pourrait m'aider en m'indiquant si ce pays comporte quelques soucis 🏴‍☠️ pour une jeune fille seule mais non provocante sans trop d'argent.Je connais le voyage sac à dos mais toujours à deux...

toujours en projet TDM... on était parti sur l'idée d'acheter un camping-car ou fourgon aménagé en france pour l'embarquer faire le TDM en famille. mais voilà, le prix des traversées cargo + les formalités ahurissantes + cout du carnet de passage en douane nous découragent. On a donc pensé acheter un CC en arrivant dans un pays (par ex le premier pays serait le Canada, plus précisément le Québec), visiter le pays et le revendre sur place avant de prendre l'avion pour une nouvelle destination où on recommencerait la même opération. Je sais que ce type de transaction s'effectue très courramment en Australie où les vendeurs professionnels s'engagent à vous racheter votre véhicule au prix d'achat moins une certaine somme par mois d'utilisation. Cette formule existe-t-elle aussi aux EU, au canada, en amérique du sud?

Pour ceux qui ont déjà fait le TDM en CC avec leur propre véhicule, pensez-vous que cela vous soit revenu à moins cher que la location sur place (quand on voir le prix des passages en cargo...)?

J'ai une petite interrogation. Je vais au Grand Caribe hotel, je pars demain et je voudrais savoir si on a juste le buffet d'inclus dans le prix du forfait ou si on peut aller manger aux autres resto de l'hotel sans débourser ?

Je sais qu'il faut réserver pour aller manger à ces restaurants mais je ne sais pas si ils sont inclus dans le prix.

Well, yeah, back from our adventure in our enchanting American West just a month ago, we’re already taking a bite out of one of its lesser-known competitors. "Flo, if you had to pick just one reason to justify your love for the U.S., what would it be?" The greasy, dripping burgers? No, I don’t think I’m going out on a limb by saying it’d be the wide-open spaces... And that’s exactly what our new quest is taking us to—a land on the other side of the globe where the horizon also seems endless, where silence tastes like salty wind and sand, where freedom is measured in kilometers of desert tracks, where the GPS is mostly there to confirm you’re lost in the middle of nowhere... Add to that magic formula the fact that you’ll see more zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and elephants than people per square kilometer, and you can imagine us setting foot in Southern Africa for the first time, more precisely at the small airport in Windhoek, capital of... of...? Brush up on your geography, damn it! We’re landing in Namibia!!!



To be honest, Namibian landscapes have been flirting with me for ages. So how did I resist this island of temptation for so long? First, the budget. Let’s just say that for the same amount of effort (and kidneys), the bank lets you choose two other adventures almost anywhere else on the planet. Then there were my girls. Yeah, back then, they were too little to dose up on Malarone, the only malaria remedy at the time... Long story short, ten years later, all the planets have aligned. First, I won the Euromillions! Well, almost... Let’s just say my girls are now old enough... not to take Malarone, but to stop following me on all my adventures! Jackpot! "Flo, how about a little two-person caprice, just the two of us, tackling the Namibian tracks?"



As we landed on the runway, first wow effect: The horizon is immense. It’s flat as can be, incredibly flat... So much flat space! Did I mention it was flat?... Looking into the distance, it feels like your gaze could circle the Earth without hitting a single obstacle—until you end up staring at your own backside. "Oh, what a nice view!" Well, it’s the first time I’ve seen my butt from this angle! Touching moment... Sorry, I’m rambling—must be the exhaustion from the three-flight marathon we just powered through via Ethiopia and South Africa... And yet, no time to philosophize about my anatomy. As usual, we want to rack up our first kilometers to be front and center at dawn tomorrow. After wrapping up the tedious Namibian immigration formalities and meeting the 4x4 that’ll be our companion day and night for the next fifteen days, we’re off! We’re not exactly fresh, but we’re ready to tackle the next five hundred kilometers in night mode, cruise control set due south! Just outside Windhoek, the local wildlife—a jackal—welcomes us with a smile: "Welcome to Namibia!" That’s what it said! Honest... Okay, first endless straight road, first flaming sunset, first corrugated dirt track, first Milky Way with zero light pollution... You get it—it’s definitely the day of firsts... First night camping, too, in the big trunk of our Toyota Fortuner parked by the side of the track... The real adventure, the kind that smells under the arms, can finally begin...

I’m offering a spot in my van for a maiden trip in May, from 20/05 to 05/06. The planned destination is Montenegro, but it could be any other area. For July and August, I’m planning another van trip through the Baltic countries via Slovenia, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. I also have a kayaking trip project, more or less long—probably around ten days initially, just to test the waters, in Scotland. This could happen this autumn combined with a road trip to get there or back, or both! Preferably with experienced kayakers. If you have other ideas, I’m all ears. I’ve got time and options. In the van, I travel with my dog, who’s really chill.

A horseback ride by the sea on the Caribbean island of Saint Martin or ... on the beach, but at a walk and trot! It was probably these visions that gave me the irresistible urge to do this horseback trek—to walk on the sand, but as a rider, and also enjoy a swim that was anything but ordinary.





From wish to reality ... all it took was heading to Ranch du Galion. Here we are, on the heights of the east coast of the charming island of Saint Martin, in the heart of the Caribbean.





After a first horseback ride that we really enjoyed, with a simple trip to the beach, it didn’t take much to make us want to repeat the pleasant experience. My daughter Emma had been dreaming of it too—so why not share this change of scenery, but this time opting for a slightly longer trek? It’s the big day. And Jess is there to greet us this morning with a big smile. Jess—or Jessica—is the one who runs this tropical ranch with passion; she looks after a whole little family of horses. This morning, she’ll be our guide and companion for this seaside horseback ride.



So, we set off along the wild shores of the stunning Anse du Galion.

In the enclosures, behind the fences and ropes, some stallions already seem impatient to stretch their legs! They know the place, the routines, and the trails ... and the soothing reward halfway through—a dip in the sea. Maybe that’s what’s causing a little excitement among these mounts!





Horses and ... an iguana slipping into the bushes. Given its appearance—its crest, its parched skin, and the dewlap hanging under its head—you’d think it wasn’t exactly young.



Anyway, back to the horses. Among the mares and stallions, I try to spot "Avenir" and his elegant gait—he was "my" horse during my last trek here, on the trails and sands of Galion. Well, spotting him isn’t going to be easy! My memories are a bit fuzzy, and several of these horses look like him ... -- Before setting off on the trek, it’s time for Jess to choose our mounts. For riders with little experience ... it’ll be calm horses, well-used to trekking—definitely easier and more enjoyable. Titia, a beautiful white mare for my daughter, and Prince, a gentle stallion for me. A little anecdote along the way: we’re really staying in the family for this horseback ride—these two horses are actually related: "my" Prince is the son of the lovely Titia!

Hi everyone, Accepting the rules everywhere has become the norm, and customer service keeps getting worse and worse. Who’s to blame? All those who comply without a fuss, even though you’re paying full price everywhere. What used to be normal (good service) has now become the exception. Example: Hotels and their overly strict rules (rules that, personally, I successfully bend almost every time) 😄. We pay for a room for 24 hours, not 12-15 hours. How many times have I arrived at my hotel around noon after exhausting flights, asked for my reserved room, and been told that rooms are only available from 3 or 4 PM? Unacceptable (especially since we often have to check out by 10-11 AM—just as unacceptable). “Miss, I’m really tired from my trip. Could you make a small effort? I’m sure several rooms are ready by now.” The response? “It’s the rule. Come back at 4 PM.” 😒 Of course, I get that the front-desk clerk is just blindly following orders (or overdoing it). I stay calm and ask her to fetch her supervisor (who shows up right away, probably afraid of a scene). I explain with my best "puppy-dog eyes," and—bingo—10 minutes later, I’ve got my room (I’ll spare you the comments from my fellow travelers calling me a rude, uneducated nightmare). I’m thrilled because they’ll be waiting around for 4 hours 😏. It’s the same everywhere—restaurants (especially in France), where you arrive at 9:05 PM and are told they’re no longer serving because the chef has finished and turned off the ovens. (Do you really need an oven and 2 hours to make an English breakfast or a cheese platter with good wine?) And then some restaurant owners complain about not meeting their targets—pfft. The list goes on, and I don’t have all the complaints about service providers fresh in my mind (feel free to add yours if you agree). Otherwise, keep bowing your heads—I won’t change the world, but I’ll never accept being told I’m too demanding. It’s the people who let things slide (the majority) who have no standards left, to the detriment of service quality for everyone 😏.

My name is Gérard, I’m a 77-year-old retiree, and I have a charming young wife of 70 and a sweet little Biewer dog celebrating his first birthday. 🎂🎉

The three of us are planning to leave from Cannes in our motorhome and head to Dakar.

Personally, I know this route very well, having done it three times in a 4x4, the last trip being in 2016.

Regarding Western Sahara, I know it’s not particularly recommended to cross it right now, but I haven’t heard any bad news about it yet.

As for crossing the "no man’s land," I remember it being a very difficult track, impassable with a motorhome. I’ve heard that they’ve recently improved the track and that it might now be possible to cross those 4 km with a motorhome (?)

Actually, I’m reaching out to experienced travelers who could give me their thoughts on crossing at the end of 2025. 🙏

By the way, if other motorhome travelers have the same plan, maybe we could discuss it together? 🤝

As for Mauritania, I know it’s a long stretch of tarmac, and from what I remember—aside from the "Gare du Nord" stop to refuel and enjoy a good tea—you have to switch to "survival mode."

Are the landscapes green like we’d expect at this time of year, or are they dry with gray and brown mountains due to the drought? Hi everyone, after a stay in the South and one in the North, I’m planning a mini road trip in Corsica (Bastia-Bastia) in June to explore places I haven’t seen yet. Since we’re heading to the mountains later this year, we’ve deliberately skipped the Corsican mountains. Could you share your thoughts and, most importantly, suggest things to see? We love nature, reasonable hikes, peaceful spots, and small villages. No cities. No boat excursions (yes, that includes Piana and Scandola). We already know the area between Bastia and Calvi.

Bonjour à tous ! Avec mon compagnon nous prévoyons un petit road type d'environ 10 jours sur l'itinéraire du grand tour de Suisse. Notre but est de voyager en voiture aménagée pour y dormir.

Est-il possible de s'arrêter n'importe où afin de passer la nuit ? Nous ne voudrions avoir le plus de souplesse possible dans notre voyage. (Pas de réservations qui nous obligerait à être telle nuit à telle place)

j'ai pu lire plusieurs sujet tres interessant sur les plateaux sur le forum et du coups j'ai encore plus de questions qu'avant de commencer mes recherches haha :D

Alors voila dans le cadre de la preparation de notre voyage (plusieurs mois) on cherche a monter notre velo (on veut se monter le meme velo pour des raisons de pieces detachés et que l'on parte avec la meme base de velo)

Bref la contrainte de notre voyage (sinon ca ne serait pas drole) c'est la remorque avec le chien (20kg). Notre "peur" avec la remorque ce sont .... les montés!

Le probleme c'est que nous partions sur un Genesis Vagabond avec cintre route (ou a toujours rouler sur cintre route et madame refuse les cintre plat mais je la travaille au corps pour la faire changer d'avis haha) et impossible de trouver un derailleur avant en triple plateau compatible cintre route chez shimano ou sram. Est ce qu'avec un double compact et un 11x derriere cela reste jouable a votre avis? comment comparer / Calculer ? j'ai vu des tableaux mais je vous avoue que ca ne me parle pas trop :( Comment savoir si on peut mettre un 11x sur un genesis vagabond?

Bonjour, On se prépare pour ces vacances suite aux annonces encourageantes de ce soir. Un premier brouillon de notre futur périple nous menerait à l'entrée du parc naturel de Millevaches par le nord (côté Aubusson). On se demandait, si jamais on a encore du temps, s'il serait envisageable une petite incursion dans le plateau ou si trop VTTisé (nous avons des Fahrrad T100, qui seront chargés mais pas de sacoches avant). Dans un premier aperçu de l'appli du parc, il est question des circuits à pied, à cheval et un VTT... Quelqu'un parmi vous connaît le coin? Par avance merci

J'ai planifié notre découverte de la Bretagne avec plusieurs étapes, le tout sur 15 jours à partir de fin juillet... Si les conditions sanitaires permettent les déplacements Belgique-France, nous partirons avec un invité qui jusqu'à hier, n'était pas prévu: un chiot. Problème, dans les hébergements choisis via Booking.com, les 2/3 n'acceptent pas les animaux... Vaut-il mieux tenter de retrouver 5 étapes animaux admis (et pas avec un supplément exorbitant) ou par facilité pour nous et pour le chien, de trouver un emplacement central qui accepte les chiens et rayonner de là? Pensez-vous que prendre les vélos est intéressant (avec un panier pour y mettre le chien...)?

Niveau itinéraire je privilégie la côte de l'Ile-et-Vilaine, les Côtes d'Armor et le Finistère.

Période de Coronavirus: Bonjour, Je suis de nationalité Suisse et je dois déménager en Juin depuis Monaco vers la Suisse. Pour cela je dois faire un voyage préalable de Monaco, via l'Italie pour aller préparer mon nouvel appartement en Suisse avant d'y faire déménager mes affaires. Sachant que sur l'autoroute, je n'aurai aucun besoin de m'arrêter en Italie pour faire le plein d'essence ou manger... MES QUESTION:

- Savez-vous si, avec mon épouse et mon chien, je peux voyager le 17 mai 2020 et en passant la frontière Franco-Italienne et Itlalo-Suisse ? - Faut-il un document spécial et oÙ se le procurer ? - Et pour le retour par le même chemin ?
