Change of itinerary on Costa Favolosa: what are the reasons?
Hi, I’m looking for information about the cruise currently running from May 29 to June 10, 2025, around Iceland.
The ship didn’t make the scheduled stops—it skipped 2 and stayed a full day off the port of Reykjavik.
The cruise seems to have been completely disrupted.
Could anyone tell me the reasons?
We were planning to go soon, but this situation is making us think twice.

We (a family of two adults and two kids) are going on our first cruise this August on the Costa Esmeralda. To make sure everything goes smoothly, I booked a suite. I have a few questions to prepare well and I’m definitely open to any tips.
I read that a restaurant is reserved, specifically the Bellavista. What confused me a bit is that I saw others mention the Panama. I’m pretty sure it’s the Bellavista, especially after checking the ship’s layout.
About this restaurant: - Is it accessible on embarkation day, say around 1:30 PM? - Same question for when we return from excursions around 1:30 PM
I’ve done my research otherwise, but I’m still open to any advice.

Mediterranean Costa Cruise - Great Tips for Excursions
Hi everyone,
I’m new to this forum and I’m going on a Costa cruise in three weeks with my family (there’ll be 14 of us in total). The planned stops are: Barcelona, Palma, Ibiza, Palermo, Rome, and Savona.
Given the high cost of the excursions offered by Costa, I’m looking for tips and great deals. In your opinion, what are the best excursions to do at these stops? Which sites shouldn’t be missed?

Can anyone give me some info about this Spa Access day? We traveled with Costa until 2017, and back then, spa access wasn’t just for a day—it was for the entire cruise if you were staying in a suite... Times change, I guess. When I check MY COSTA, under Thermal Space Access Day appointments, it’s possible to book every day, even at sea, but with payment required on the site. Do we need to book this day on board if we want to take advantage of the free day? Or do we book it on the site and the freebie is applied automatically? Are sea days included in this case? Since 2017, we’ve been traveling with MSC YC, but this time, we’re going as a family with kids and grandkids, so the YC is a bit too much of a luxury and not really suitable for 3 kids.

Hi there! I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not into commercial resorts, so I’m looking for places like youth hostels or *casas particulares* where I can meet other travelers. I’d love to do a mix of activities—ideally snorkeling, hiking, Latin dance, group tours, biking, etc. Mostly, I want to meet people (not necessarily a man, just folks in general!). Review of cabin 9201 on the Costa Favolosa

We had booked a sea-view cabin through a Costa advisor in October 2023 for a departure on 13/10/24 on the Costa Favolosa, with a cruise lasting until 22/10/24. When we saw the cabin, what a disappointment: only one stool, no armchair or sofa like we were used to with Costa. The sea view wasn’t great because of a film on the porthole, and the cabin faced the crew promenade. The space between the wall and the edge of the bed was about 30 cm... not easy for getting into bed. We immediately asked to change cabins. After two days, the answer was that no cabins were available. We spent our days in the lounges because there wasn’t enough room for two people to sit—one had to sit on the stool and the other on the bed... Two days before disembarking in Marseille, reception offered us a sea-view cabin on deck 2. We asked to see it: what a difference—space, a sofa, an armchair, a stool, and a real sea view. Unfortunately, with only two days left before disembarking, it was difficult for us "seniors (85 and 73 years old)" to pack our suitcases and bags, unpack them in the new cabin, deal with the walker, and then repack two days later for disembarkation. We filed a complaint with Costa’s customer service, which responded quickly: "You found the cabin small. Please note that our cabins meet standards and are allocated accordingly. It is indeed possible to change cabins if the ship’s occupancy allows it. We offered you this change, which you later declined." In the end, they offered a "commercial discount as an exceptional gesture for booking a future cruise." This cabin 9201 is for one person, not two. The onboard staff were always as friendly and smiling as ever. There were long lines to access the buffets, so it was better to go to the restaurant at lunchtime when we didn’t have excursions. The shows were varied, and the indoor pool was very chilly. We won’t be sailing with Costa again. We’ve booked with MSC for 2025, but after reading some reviews... Mum49

Après l'annulation d'une croisière aux canaries au mois de novembre 2020 et suite au Coronavirus : augmentation de 89 % pour la même croisiere (avec, certes, trois jours de plus) ; même forfait boisson et choix de la cabine.
J'aimerai bien que ma retraite soit augmentée d'autant...
On a à faire à des sociétés sans scrupules et aussi à notre président français qui signe l'ordonnance 315 qui autorise à proposer un avoir, valable 18 mois et un remboursement qui ne peut avoir lieu qu'après ce délai.

Annulation croisière Costa 2020 English translation pending
Bonjour à tous,
Nous avions réservé en fin d'année une croisiere costa pour cet été
Debut mars pour raisons perso nous avons annulé notre croisiere et avons donc reçu un net à nous rembourser avec 50 EUR de penalites par personne. Pendant 2 mois aucune nouvelle , ni mail rien. En mai on a encore reçu un doc avec encore un net à rembourser et les pénalités. Sans virement on a donc écrit au service client, qui ne veut rien entendre se basant sur le décret rétroactif alors que ce décret précisé que Costa aurait du nous informer au plus tard un mois après la parution de ce décret d'un avoir. N'ayant pas fait cela nous demandons donc un remboursement et pas un avoir. Depuis les échanges avec le service client sont de plus en plus tendus et ils nous ont répondu qu'il clôturé notre dossier et que notre avoir partirai de juillet 2020 !! Nous sommes très déçus et choqués de ce comportement
Certains d'entre vous ont ils eu les mêmes problèmes ?

Avec mon conjoint nous programmons notre voyage de noce pour octobre avec Costa. Une croisière de 11 jours au départ de Venise suivit des îles grecques et de la Croatie.
Nous hésitons sur le choix de la cabine, entre la cabine avec balcon et la suite panorama ( il n y a plus les autres suites dispo).
Ni connaissant pas grand chose et n arrivant pas à trouver la réponse où des avis, pouvez vous me dire si la suite vaut vraiment le détour en elle même et les services proposés sont ils vraiment bien ?

Mon tour du monde s'est achevé dernièrement mais vu le coronavirus des compensations nous sont accordées.
Que choisir ?
Le 35 % en cash ou un avoir sur une prochaine croisière de 50 %, validité fin 2022.
J'hésite fortement entre les deux propositions.

Le navire est en quarantaine depuis le 19 mars dans le port de Santos au Brésil. Actuellement, selon l’Agence nationale de surveillance de la santé (Anvisa), le navire a, à son bord, 20 membres d’équipage qui ont été testés positifs pour le coronavirus, en plus de six cas suspects de la maladie.

Je dois théoriquement embarquer à Stokohlm sur le Costa Magica le 30 mai prochain.
Or , il semble bien que cette croisière risque fort d'être annulée en raison de l'épidémie de Covid 19.
Je me demande s'il vaut annuler mieux la réservation maintenant, en risquant de perdre de l'argent ou au contraire attendre que Costa annule cette croisière….ou prenne au contraire le risque de ne pas l'annuler (pour des raisons économiques) , et laisse embarquer les passagers qui risquent alors de se retrouver dans une vraie galère…..

Le 7 ou le 8 mars, le Luminosa quitte Fort Everglades pour une traversée vers l'Espagne, la France et l'Italie comme point d'arrivée.
Trois jours après, le bateau fait escale à Porto Rico et débarque un couple Italien atteint par le coronavirus.
Le capitaine ne prévient pas les passagers et continue. L'escale à Antigua est annulée et le Luminosa entreprend la traversée de l'Atlantique en laissant les passagers totalement libres d'aller à la piscine, au restaurant, etc...
Le 15, le bateau fait escale aux Canaries pour déposer des passagers malades, mais s'oppose à ce que d'autres passagers descendent, malgré les demandes expresses de certains.
Le 19, le Luminosa accoste à Marseille pour y déposer 600 passagers. 75 personnes sont testées, parmi lesquelles 36 sont positives au coronavirus.
300 Américains et Canadiens sont regroupés sans mesure de distanciation, entassés dans des bus et , après des heures d'attente en pleine promiscuité, ils prennent un vol pour Atlanta, sans aucune mesure de protection, alors qu'il y a trois cas déclarés à bord. Pendant le voyage, plusieurs personnes perdent connaissance et sont secourues tant bien que mal par les autres passagers, qui interviennent au péril de leur vie.
A Atlanta, le centre de contrôle des maladies infectieuses se contente de prendre la température des passagers et les laisse se disperser dans l'aéroport, qui est un des plus fréquentés du monde.
Quelques jours après, Tom Sheehan se sent mal, est hospitalisé en urgence et décède quelques jours après, au terme d'une série d'erreurs épouvantables :
Le capitaine du Luminosa, a complètement ignoré les leçons qu'il aurait du tirer du drame du Diamond Princess, dont le déroulement était bien connu début mars.
Le même capitaine a négligé de prendre les mesures de confinement qui s'imposaient après quatre cas déclarés.
Costa a organisé le retour sans aucune précaution, augmentant les risques de contamination dans un vol se déroulant dans de mauvaises conditions.
Et, pour couronner le tout, les autorités Américaines laissent se disperser 300 personnes potentiellement porteuses.🙁🙁
