Cap Amitié est une ONG originaire de Suisse, nous mettons en place actuellement une école de tourisme en République Dominicaine. Nous avons décidé d’accepter les bénévoles qui voudraient se joindre à nous. Notre organisation étant petite, nous ne pouvons par contre pas prendre en charge les frais des bénévoles. (Nous avons également payé notre billet d’avion pour nous rendre sur place).

Les tâches seront à définir avec chacun, la durée du séjour entre bien évidemment en ligne de compte. Je continue😕 à rechercher des infos sur le climat qu'il fait au Cap vert en Janvier ? J'ai lu beaucoup de témoignages où les gens disaient qu'il y avait beaucoup de vent. Est-ce vrai ? Bonjour, Quelqu'un(e) serait allé(e) dans un des hotels "all inclusive" proposés sur différents sites de voyages en ligne aux iles du cap vert et en particulier sur l'ile de Sal? Si oui, est ce correct? Quel voyagiste choiisir ou bien quelle plage? Le but de l'histoire: couple sans enfant, la quarantaine, souhaitant lézarder pour une semaine à prendre entre le 01 et le 21 Octobre prochain. Je prepare un 3ieme voyage au Cap Vert. Les précédents étaient en 2001 et 2002. J'ai antendu que les prix avaient sérieusement augmentés, avez vous des infos récentes et des exemples ??

Seconde question, l'aéroport de Praïa doit être (enfin) ouvert ? Mais je ne vois pas d'info sur les vols ... d'où viennent ils, avec la TACV ??? ou autre une compagnie ?

Enfin, je cherche aussi des infos sur les liaisons en bateau. J'ai un excellent souvenir de Praïa -> Mindelo, y a t'il d'autres liaisons ? des infos sur le net ????

je souhaiterais faire du bénévolat au Cap vert l'an prochain (2005-2006). je vais rejoindre mon père à Praia cet été et je voudrais me rendre utile, je suis très motivée. Je suis étudiante en licence de Lettres, je peux donc faire du soutien, de l'alphabétisation (si on me forme🙂) et tout ce qu'on me demandera. Je possède la double nationalité et je parle portugais.

Je pars au cap vert en juillet et je souhaite avoir quelques informations patiques: est-ce que les liaisons par bateau entre les îles sont faciles? Faut-il réserver les billets à l'avance? nous sommes trois femmes. Cela pose-t-il un problème de sécurité?

je pars une dizaine de jours au cap-vert début avril et j aurai souhaité des infos ( plus récéntes que les guides...🤪) sur de bons plans : logements, transports, activités...

egalement sur les possibilités d'y arriver de Dakar ( bateau, avion... ) et les tarifs pour qu on puisse se faire une idée du budget.

Je rêve de partir au Cap-Vert !

Malheureusement, il existe peu de guides sur cette destination. C'est la raison pour laquelle je sollicite les veinards qui y sont déjà allés !

J'aimerais partir trois semaines cet été ! J'ai entendu dire que les trajets inter-îles étaient longs. Le sont-ils tous ? Quel itinéraire me conseillez-vous ?

J'ai encore beaucoup d'autres questions et j'espère que les personnes qui ont vécu cette aventure ... sauront me faire profiter de leurs bons plans, astuces.

Si vous avez fait le voyage merci de me donner des infos, quels iles aller, est-ce facile de se débrouiller quand on est une fille en solo... ? Hello, In mid-November, we’ll be in Mindelo and Santo Antão. We’ve booked transportation with Kapverden Tours. One trip is from Porto Novo to Ponta do Sol, including the hike from Corda to Coculi. What’s the trail like? Then we’ll be staying in Ponta do Sol,

Here’s what we’re planning: A hike to Fontainhas—what’s the best direction, considering we’re not great with climbs? No problem with flat terrain or descents. Take an aluguer to Ribeira Grande and continue along the coastal road.

With the agency: An excursion to Cruzinha with a short walk. Return to Porto Novo via the path from Cova to… I’m not sure where yet, to pick up the car for Porto Novo, since we’ll be taking the ferry that evening. We’ll have a guide for this hike.

We’d love to spend a day in Tarrafal, but getting back requires a boat or taxi, and it’s really expensive!

We’re a couple, 78 and 76 years old. What do you think of this itinerary?

Hi everyone, After a break of a few years, I’m heading back to Madagascar this October. I’d like to travel from Diego to Maroantsetra via Cap Masoala as much as possible by bike—it’s my favorite way to travel. My questions: for the return trip to Diego once I’m in Maroantsetra, is there a possibility to take a flight, since the road option only starts much further south than Tamatave? Or where can I rent or buy a decent bike between Diego and Cap Masoala? For this bike trip, I’m open to any info—I love traveling rough. Someone might even want to join me on this adventure.

After that, I’d also like info on the northeast part (Mozambique Channel side) of Diego, which I’d like to explore by bike as well.

Hello everyone! Booked the cruise a year in advance for a departure from Rio on April 5th. Air France flight to Rio on April 3rd, arriving at the Windsor Plaza hotel, very well located just 300 meters from Copacabana Beach, with a pool on the 15th floor offering a view of Rio. The next morning, a behind-the-scenes visit to Rio’s Carnival—there were still some floats not yet dismantled and a little samba session. At noon, lunch on Copacabana Beach, which was deserted due to rain and gray skies all day.

Saturday, April 5th, boarding the *Marina*—still raining :( To get around Rio, we used Uber, which was really cheap—5 euros for a 15-minute ride, while taxis cost double... Arrived at the cruise terminal, boarding was very quick as usual with Oceania. The cabins would be ready around 3 PM, with luggage at the cabin door. We had booked an inside cabin. Despite numerous offers from Oceania to upgrade (with a supplement, of course), we stuck with our first choice. It’s worth noting that at least 200 cabins remained unoccupied—about 800 passengers for this transatlantic crossing... Last September, since the cruise wasn’t filling up well, Oceania lowered the price by 1,000 euros per person for an inside cabin—a great deal for us, as they adjusted the rate downward when we asked.

For this cruise, weekends and drinks at the table were included—champagne, wine, beer...—plus an onboard credit that’s now only for excursions (before, it was more flexible—another downgrade, lol).

Headed to the Terrace Café for our first meal, and what a surprise when we saw the changes... No more staff mixing your chosen salad, and way fewer options: big bowls of salad, trays of potato salad, beets, lentils—I don’t remember seeing that before—thin slices of cold cuts and cheese. On the meat side, not much choice and lower quality. Desserts also had fewer options. Well, we’ll make up for it at Jacques on the first night ;) The menu hasn’t changed much—it’s still top-notch. The seasoning is average, but it’s a safe bet.

A little note on the 15-day cruise: we ate at 11 different restaurants—3 at Jacques, 3 at Polo Grill, 3 at Toscana, and 2 at Red Ginger. Not bad for two weeks ;) A French officer invited us to Toscana, which was really nice of her. Polo Grill is still amazing—I’d rank it second after Jacques, with Toscana third and Red Ginger last. I think since the ship wasn’t full, it was easier to get into these restaurants ;)

The staff was, as always, excellent. There were 3 French employees on the *Marina*: 1 waiter at Jacques, 1 manager at Wave, and 1 officer in the offices.

In the afternoon, Tea Time had way fewer pastry choices than before... Cost-cutting seems to be happening at every level. We met people who used to stay in Penthouse Suites—before, they got a bottle of champagne in their suite every night, but since January, it’s been Prosecco instead... Just a small example of Oceania’s cost reductions. At the Terrace Café in the evening, there was no more lobster on this cruise :(

Still, the value for money on this cruise was excellent given the price we paid per person. This transatlantic crossing had 4 stops in Brazil, 1 in the Cape Verde Islands, then Dakar in Senegal, and ended in the Canary Islands.

Our trip lasted a month, from March 10 to April 10, 2024, and was done aboard our Land Rover Defender 110. For those interested, our 4x4 is equipped with mountain-approved 3PMFSF all-terrain tires (non-studded), a removable electric winch that can be attached to either the front or rear of the vehicle, two sand recovery boards, and we bring two pairs of snow chains. We sleep in our Land Rover, which is equipped with a diesel-powered independent heater, a small fridge, and has a layout that allows the dinette to be converted into a bed.

Starting from the Paris region, we crossed Belgium and Germany, took the ferry from Travemünde in northern Germany to Helsinki, followed the Russian border up to northern Finland, then headed into Norway all the way to the North Cape before returning via Norway, taking the ferry from Larvik in Norway to Hirtshals in Denmark, then passing through Germany and Belgium on our way back to France.

Tonight, March 10, 2024, we’ll be sleeping at our daughter’s place in the North.

Tuesday, March 11, we’ll cross Belgium and then enter Germany, where we’ll camp in Bremen.

Wednesday, March 12, we’ll have a quick visit to Bremen in the morning. We had planned to visit Lübeck, but some electrical issues with the car delayed us, so we head straight to the German port of Travemünde, where we’re set to embark at 11:30 PM to cross the Baltic Sea and arrive in Helsinki after 31 hours of sailing (one-way cabin ticket cost: 850 €—quite expensive since we booked last minute).

On the ferry, there are mostly semi-trucks and only a few campervans and passenger cars. The boat is quiet, and the Baltic Sea is calm.

About two hours before arriving in Helsinki, we hear noise along the hull. Surprise—looking out the porthole, we realize we’re sailing on frozen sea ice!

Thursday, March 14, we arrive at the port of Helsinki at 9:30 AM. Disembarking takes a while. As soon as we’re out, we head straight to Rastila Camping (cost: 27 €), about ten kilometers east of Helsinki. Then we go to a Land Rover garage to fix our headlight switch, which stopped working (a real hassle in Finland since you have to drive with low beams on at all times).

After the repair, we visit the stunning Temppeliaukio Church, which is built underground.

On our way back to the campsite, we stop at the supermarket for supplies. Prices are similar to France, except for imported products.

Mais donc, on a le choix entre le Cap d'Agde ou Port Leucate. Je souhaiterais savoir, à ma place, ce que vous choisireriez.

En ces temps de confinement, je me permet de rêver à de futurs voyages. Pensez-vous qu'il est faisable d'atterrir au Cap et de faire le circuit en transports en commun jusqu'à Nairobi en deux mois? Est-ce que cela risque d'être trop juste et de ne pas avoir le temps de profiter des paysages? Nous partirons à deux et l'idée est de faire quelques safaris, les chutes et un peu de repos.

I’d love to share a little travel journal from our 14-day/12-night road trip with our two teens (14 and 17) in February/March 2020. A huge thank you to all of you who helped me plan this trip to South Africa—your patience with my endless questions was amazing!



We left Lyon on Saturday, February 22 at 7:00 AM and arrived in Johannesburg at 10:00 PM after a short layover in Amsterdam. Flights cost 440 € per person (booked in October), with carry-on luggage. We added just one checked bag for the whole family (80 € round-trip with the free Flying Blue membership). Since we’d be moving around a lot, we packed light! In Lyon, we reserved parking at P5 in advance for 70 € for 14 days. The Air France/KLM flight was smooth. When we landed, we picked up our bags and had booked a night at the Aero Guest Lodge, just 5 minutes from the airport, with a free shuttle and breakfast. All you have to do is send a WhatsApp message when you arrive at the airport to let the shuttle driver know. The tricky part? Finding him in the terminal—he wasn’t holding a sign with the hotel’s name. 🤪 A South African called him for me since my English wasn’t great (and I had to get used to the accent 😛), and helped us spot the driver (who was actually less than 5 meters away!) with other guests. When we got to the hotel: all good, except we were 10 people in a van meant for 7. The room was spacious—one king-size bed and two single beds for the kids—with a simple but clean bathroom, a garden, pool, and breakfast (which we didn’t try). All for 65 €, so an awesome value!

After a restful night, we woke up at 6:00 AM to catch the shuttle back to the airport. Just a heads-up: there’s only one shuttle per hour in the morning, and Kulula canceled our 9:00 AM flight, moving it to 8:00 AM—so no time for breakfast (it starts at 6:30). We waited 15 minutes in the lovely garden for the driver, who dropped us off at the airport in 5 minutes. We checked in for our flight to Cape Town, which cost around 40 € (including two checked bags per person). We grabbed breakfast at the airport instead (less than 20 € for all four of us—one of the nice surprises of South Africa!), and arrived in Cape Town at 10:20 AM.

After quickly picking up our bags, we headed to the Avis counter and left with a Toyota Corolla for 80 € for 4 days (rented with the Flying Blue card—free additional driver). Everything’s on the left... not easy, but it works if you plan your route well. We drove to our Airbnb in Constantia. We were surprised to see animals, bikes, and pedestrians on the highway! We arrived around 11:30 AM at our rental—a huge house in the vineyards, in a super secure neighborhood, about 15-20 minutes from Hout Bay. It felt like Beverly Hills, but with super-high walls and barbed wire around the villas. 😕



We dropped off our bags, changed into shorts (it was around 30°C/86°F), and headed to the Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay. We had lunch there—such a great vibe! We wandered through the stalls, everyone picked their own dish, and we sat down on the terrace. There was music, artisans of all kinds... a really nice moment.



I’d withdrawn 50 € before leaving... and that gave me change to pay the parking attendant. Lunch cost around 30 € for four, including food and drinks.



After browsing the artisan stalls, we headed to Hout Bay Beach near the restaurant, Marina Wharf (another small tip for the parking attendant—we’d have to get used to that!). We stopped to admire the sea lions. An ice cream for 1 €? No way we were saying no! 🙂





The fatigue was starting to hit, so we headed to the grocery store 10 minutes away (Constantia shopping center) and then had an aperitif in front of the vineyards, opening a delicious bottle of white wine.

Faut il changer de terminal ? je ne connais pas l'aeroport de LIS , je suppose que l'on est facilement dirigé vers le second vol?

Je suis en train de réserver mes billets d'avion pour aller au Cap Vert en mars 2020. J'ai un problème sur le temps de correspondance à Lisbonne. J'envisage un Lyon-Lisbonne et Lisbonne-Praia avec 2 possibilités :

Correspondance de 50 mn ou 6h50 à Lisbonne ???

L'un me paraît court, le deuxième extrêmement long ....

Avez-vous une expérience récente de l'un ou de l'autre SVP pour que j'arrive à prendre une décision.

Après un voyage éclair au Cap Nord en 2011 en citroen C3, qui a fait l'objet d'un précédent carnet de voyage voyageforum.com/...ost=9578716;#9578716). Me voici à nouveau en route pour le Cap Nord, mais cette fois en Citroen Berlingo plus confortable pour conduire et pour dormir.

Le trajet pour monter sera le même qu'en 2011, à savoir l'Allemagne, le Danemark, la Suède, la Finlande et enfin la Norvège.



Pour mon 1er jour de trajet, j'ai quitté Grenoble mercredi 14 mai 2014 à 5h00, et après un trajet par autoroute jusqu'au Luxembourg pour faire un dernier plein pas cher, je suis allé passer ma 1ère nuit à OSNABRUCK (D) soit 1049 km .



Jeudi 15 mai, un étape de 949 km me permettra de dormir en Suède à LJUNBY, après avoir pris le tunnel-pont entre le Danemark et la Suède.

Comme je l'ai dit dans mon précédent récit de voyage sur le Cap Nord, la variété des paysages suédois n'est pas terrible, lacs forêts et forêts lacs.... Le vendredi 16 mai, je ferais une étape de 911 km, qui me permettra d'atteindre la ville d'ORNSKOLDSVIK.

Et là, 1ère surprise désagréable, les campings en ce mois de mai ne sont pas ouverts, et je dormirais une 1ère fois au bord de la Mer Baltique.



Le samedi 17 mai, voilà mon lieu de bivouac, sympa et tranquille.



Et c'est ce matin là, vers 5 heures que j'ai eu la chance de voir des élans, mais que des jeunes pas d'adultes, hélas, et je n'en verrais pas d'autres durant tout mon séjour.







Voilà la ville d'Ornskoldsvik avec son tremplin de saut à skis au loin.





Après avoir passé la frontière finlandaise, sans avoir vu le moindre policier ou douanier, d'ailleurs aucun contrôle frontalier depuis mon départ, alors que j'ai déjà franchi 5 frontières.



Petit arrêt sur le site de la maison du Père Noël à ROVANIEMI , pas terrible ce lieu sans neige.



Je passe pour la 3ème fois, le cercle polaire arctique.



Et enfin la vision de mes premiers rennes, lors de mon précédent j'en avais vu énormément, mais à cette période ils n'ont pas tous été encore déplacés du fait de la présence de la neige plus au nord.





Après une étape de 795 km, je retourne au même camping qu'en juin 2011, mais hélas le camping de SODANKYLA n'est pas encore ouvert , je dormirais donc sur le parking devant l'entrée, et c'est à partir de là, qu'il ne fait plus du tout sombre la nuit.





La route passe à proximité de nombreux lacs encore gelés.
