Voilà, je pars avec une copine la semaine prochaine en Thailande, pour nos premieres vacances sac à dos. Et nous avons pleins d'interrogations, alors si vous pouvez nous faire part de votre expérience, ce sera très bénéfique pour nous.

Itinéraire prévu : Arrivée Bangkok mercredi soir Départ pour Chiang Mai (train de nuit)

A Chiang Maï (environ 5 jours): (logements dans une Guest House, à réserver à l'avance ?) Visites des temples Night Bazar Ballade à dos d'Elephant Treck (avez vous des conseils)

Chiang Maï / Koh Tao : Nous pensons prendre un vol interne jusqu'à Surat Koh Samui puis le bateau

Koh Tao (environ 7 jours) : (logements en Bungalows, idem pensez vous que nous devrions réserver à l'avance ?) Tour de l'ile plongées farniente..

Koh Tao / Bangkok : idem bateau + vol interne

la derniere journée à Bangkok (marché flottant), shopping...

N.B. : mon medecin ne m'a pas vacciné contre l'Hépatite A, et ne m'a pas donné de traitement contre le Palu, mais j'ai fait la Typhoïde. Alors que celui de ma copine, lui a donné le traitement contre le Palu, l'Hépatite A et la Typhoïde, qu'en pensez vous ?

Bonjour à tous, en voyage debut Aout a 5 (deux adultes et trois enfants, 8, 5, 5 ans), nous sommes comme beaucoup à réfléchir à où passer quelques jours sur une plages pour soit: récuperer du décalage horaire et du voyage, donc juste en debut de voyage. récuperer de notre ballade ludiquo-culturelle en thailande, donc en toute fin de voyage.

Il y a toute une serie de ville entre hua hin et surat thani dont on ne parle jamais.. Est ce parce qu'il n'y a rien a voir ou faire à part prendre des bateau pour les iles du golf de thailande??

D'un point de vue purement financier s'il y avait dans ce coin quelques belles plages tranquiles et des resorts sympas pour y passer quelques jours, ca serait sans doute moins cher et moins bondée de touriste que sur koh samui par exemple?

Qui y a deja passé un peu de temps?

En plus en gros debut aout il devrait y faire le même temps qu'a koh samui?

J'ai lu qu'il y avait une petite compagnie, air andaman qui deservait chumphon, elle est fiable?

🙂 bon après notre séjour a bangkok et au nord il nous restera 9 jours... Alors on hésite Krabi ou Ko Samui... ou les deux si la liaison est pas trop longue en avion ... ou existe t-il un bateau qui les rallient ?

je pars dans une semaine en Thaïlande pour la 1ere fois et je voulais saovoir si qlq avait un tuyau pour moi: je voudrais partir de Kanchanaburi pour aller vers le Sud (Baie de Phang Na - Krabi Phuket) A priori, je suis obligée de passer par BKK pour descendre ensuite...est ce que vous connaissez un trajet + direct ? Par ex en passant par Ratchaburi... Si vous avez fait ce même parcours, je suis preneuse de tuyaux et conseils en tous genres (où s'arrêter, jolies plages, hôtels...) Merci de votre aide et joyeux noel à tous.

Un an après le tsunami, la reconstruction sur terre est bien avancée apparemment, mais qu'en est-il des fabuleux fonds-marins? J'aimerais avoir des témoignages de personnes ayant scruté les eaux de Ko Phi Phi récemment. Merci. 🙂

salut qui sait combien de jours a l avance on peut reserver des tickets de train (de nuit) de bkk a trang(krabi) ? ca se passera le 22 ou le 23 decembre retour le 2 ou le 3 janvier periode assez chargé j imagine si qq1 a les prix en tete c est encore mieux merci

Ayant des contre-indications concernant la plongée bouteille, j'en suis interdit 🙁.

Bon ca ne va pas m'empecher pour autant de partir en Thailande l'été prochain pour faire pas mal de snorkling. Justement je dispose de 2 semaine la-bas et je voudrais savoir si ca vaut le coup de les passer à Ko tao pour faire uniquement du snorkling (+ 1 peu de visite). Est ce qu'on peut quand même observer la faune sous-marine juste avec 1 tuba? Y a-t-il d'autres spots peu touchés par la mousson? Est-ce que 15 jours ce n'est pas trop long?

Bon, visiblement la Thaïlande pour un premier voyage à faire seule c'est mieux que la Birmanie, sûr que tout est relatif dans la vie mais si je ne choisi pas de dormir dans les *** mais sous les ***, de manger du riz plutôt que ...? combien dois-je compter pour voir la Thaîlande du sud au nord? Alors j'aurais aimé connaître des trajets possibles au départ de Bangkok ou Pattaya ( train, bâteau, bus, avion...) avec leurs tarifs et ( promis après c'est fini!) le temps approximatif des trajets. Hello, I’m heading to Thailand for two weeks at the end of February with my family. I went there 20 years ago. I’d love your thoughts on a relaxed two-week trip that lets me show my kids the joys of travel while also taking time to unwind (after all, it *is* vacation! :)) I’m planning to spend 2 days in Bangkok, then take the overnight train to Chiang Mai (so my kids can experience that) and stay for 2-3 nights. After that, I’ll fly to Phuket for a few nights, then head to Koh Lanta for a few days before returning to Phuket to make my way back to Bangkok for the last two days before departure. Tons of people travel for two weeks during this time—any recommendations? So far, I only have my round-trip flight ticket to Bangkok. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Thailand. Since we’ll only be there for two and a half weeks, we want to visit the Krabi area and then Chiang Mai. So we won’t take the train—it’s too long in terms of travel time. We’re wondering if it’s more worthwhile to buy the flight tickets on the spot? If so, is the price difference really significant? From what I see on online booking sites, you’re looking at between 35 and 60 € per person for a Krabi/Chiang Mai route.

We’re heading to Thailand with our four kids (ages 18, 17, 12, and 10) from August 3rd to 15th, 2026. I’ve been there twice before, but that was over 20 years ago, so I’m completely out of the loop !

We arrive in Bangkok on the morning of the 3rd and leave on the evening of the 15th.

Here’s our rough itinerary—I’d love your thoughts: 1 night in Bangkok on the 3rd (with a little sightseeing during the day), then the Grand Palace, reclining Buddha, and a floating market on the 4th. On the evening of the 4th, we take an overnight train to Chiang Mai. We’ll stay in Chiang Mai from the 5th to the 8th. On the evening of the 8th, we take an overnight train back to Bangkok. On the morning of the 9th, we head to Koh Samui. We’ll stay there from the 9th to the 12th, then return to Bangkok on the 13th. We’ll spend the afternoon of the 13th, the 14th, and the 15th in Bangkok before flying back to France 🙁.

So here are my questions: - Do you think this "itinerary is doable"? - Do you think it’s necessary to travel first class, or is second class with Air Co sufficient for the Bangkok to Chiang Mai trip? - Any recommendations for a great hotel with a pool, super central, so we can do most things on foot and visit the night market in Chiang Mai? - Any recommendations for a great hotel with a pool, super central, so we can do most things on foot and visit the night market in Bangkok? - Any recommendations for a great hotel with a pool, super central, so we can do most things on foot and visit the night market in Koh Samui?

I need to take a sleeper train from Bangkok to Vientiane in January. I found some ticket options on 12Go Asia, but booking doesn’t seem possible at the moment. I’ve tried simulations for several dates, but no luck. I’m wondering if it’s already fully booked, if they’ve stopped selling tickets… yet 12Go still features it every day 😕

Has anyone else run into this issue? Can I find tickets on another site? (I tried Baolau, but no sleepers left for January 8th.)

I’m heading to Thailand for the first time at the end of January 2026 for two weeks. I’m traveling with someone who’s already been there, so we’re planning to hit some of the must-see spots but also visit places my partner wants to see—like Krabi, for example. We want a bit of everything: cities, food, culture, walks, but also beach time and relaxation. I’d love your thoughts on this itinerary idea—is it doable without feeling too rushed? We’ve got 16 nights there. There’s a part of the trip that’s still up in the air where I’m not sure what to do. Either we add a national park or a city like Erawan? The goal is to see beautiful landscapes, waterfalls (if there’s water at that time of year!), and wildlife... Or maybe we don’t add anything and just extend our time in the other stops! Depending on the final choice, the order might need adjusting 🙂

Day 1: Land in Bangkok from Paris at 2 PM—either we take a direct flight to Krabi to start our trip there (and end in Bangkok on the way back), or we stay in Bangkok for 3 days. Day 1/Day 2/Day 3/Day 4 (3.5 days, 4 nights): Bangkok (temples, floating market, possibly a day trip to Ayutthaya) Day 5/Day 6/Day 7/Day 8: Travel to Krabi, Railay, and day trips to the surrounding islands Day 9/Day 10/Day 11/Day 12: Travel to an island (probably Koh Tao), snorkeling, diving, trekking, Ang Thong excursion? Day 13/Day 14/Day 15: Leave the island for an undecided destination—a national park (Khao Sok? Khao Sam Roi Yot?)? Or Phang Nga Bay? Or Erawan? Day 16: Return to Bangkok Day 17: Departure (flight at 2 PM)

What do you think? Any advice or tips on the itinerary or the ideas for Days 13-15? (Which could be moved to another part of the trip depending on the route.) Just to note, we’re not big hikers or adventurers, but we do enjoy discovery, nature, and cultural visits like temples. Thanks in advance for your valuable tips 🙂

So excited to be back on this forum of fellow travel enthusiasts to ask for advice about my upcoming two-week trip to Thailand in March 2026.

Given that it’ll be the start of the intense heat and burning season, I’m wondering about my itinerary, which would focus on the central/southern part of the country.

Ideally, I’d like a mix of relaxation in a nice setting, culture (temples or old palaces), and I’m keeping six days in Bangkok, which I love :)

I’m planning to get around by train, car (through an agency), or plane if it’s easier.

Option 1: HUA HIN – 3/4 days (day trips to PHETCHABURI + SAM ROI YOT + ARTISAN MARKETS) KANCHANABURI – 3/4 days NAKHON PATHOM – 1 day BANGKOK – 6 days

My doubts: -Will the sky be too hazy (from smoke) for good photos? -Will Kanchanaburi and its surroundings be less enchanting during this period (dry landscapes)?

Option 2: PHUKET (4 days): exploring the island + PHANG NGA Bay HUA HIN (3/4 days) BANGKOK (7 days)

My doubts: -How do I get from Phuket to Hua Hin? It seems like flying isn’t an option, and I’d have to take a long trip up the southern coast or return to Bangkok to catch the train. -Is Phuket even remotely pleasant during this ultra-touristy period? -Is Karon a good base for exploring Phuket?

Option 3: PHUKET KAO SOK SURAT THANI? BANGKOK

My doubts: -I’d like to add a destination with beautiful temples in this area, but maybe Surat Thani isn’t the best idea.

Option 4: SURAT THANI >> HUA HIN (6/7 days) BANGKOK

Doubts: -I’m worried this route might be too tiring if I have to move every two days.

I’m open to any tips—or even a completely different itinerary if you have other ideas.

Hi there, During our Thailand trip, we're planning to arrive in Bangkok and then head up to Chiang Mai. So far, so good. But after that, we'd like to go to the islands—either Krabi or Koh Samui. However, the flights listed on 12go.asia seem complicated, with a layover of about 1 hour in Bangkok where we'd have to collect our luggage and check in for the second flight. That feels way too tight.

So, I'd love to hear about your experiences with this route and any tips you might have. Thanks everyone!
