Les sites de voyage ne proposant pas de formule tout compris pour Israel. Le billet est donc été acheté séparement, et je suis en cours de recherche d'un hôtel.

J'ai effectué une petite recherche sur Internet pour réserver un hôtel à Tel Aviv, je ne vous dis pas ma surprise. C'est trèèèssss cher. en moyenne 60$ pour une chambre signle 🙁.

C'est un peu en dehors du budget surtout que les vacances en Tel Aviv ça va être de 21 jours.

Est ce que quelqu'un connait des adresse d'hôtel pas cher sur Tel aviv?

Je vais passer 12 jours en Egypte pour la 1ère fois, début janvier, en solo. Je voudrais effectuer le parcours suivant :

Le Caire - Marsa Matruh - Désert Occidental (Siwah/Bahariya/Farafra/Dakhla/Kharga) - Louxor - Safaga - Suez - Le Caire

Je pense qu'il existe des transports collectifs sur toutes ces destinations, mais j'ai un doute sur la liaison entre les oasis Siwah et Bahariya.

Bonjours à tous…Voilà je quitte Bruxelles le 28/5 avec ma copine pour Cabarete à l’hôtel Viva Tangerine via le TO Thomas Cook pour 16 jours. J’ai choisi la Caberete pour sa très bonne réputation pour la pratique du Kite surf et planche à voile…Alors j’aurais aimé avoir votre avis sur le matériel de l’hôtel (planche à voile, canoe, Bodyboard, …). Qu’elle club du Kite donnent des cours en francais et pas trop cher ! De plus je suis très actif en vacances, la crêpe sur la plage ça vas 10 min…Quel sont donc les activités HORS hôtel à faire pour que moi et ma copine nous gardions un très bon souvenir de notre séjour en RD. Encore une chose, LA BOUF ? J’aime les fruits de mer (langoustes, crevettes, ….), Je vais devoir sortire de l’hôtel pour en avoir, si oui ou ?…..Merci d’avance….

Voici une recette que j'ai saisie au vol lors des Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France à Québec. Elle était effectuée sur place par un vieil Louisianais qui chantait des complaintes tout en expliquant son gumbo à la foule ( qui a pu goûter ensuite au met ainsi préparé hmmm :) ! J'espère que j'ai transcrit fidèlement tout ce qu'il a dit, et si vous voulez me donner des commentaires sur la recette, son origine exacte, ou bien d'autres recettes semblables, ne vous gênez pas!

Voila:

Ingrédients:

1 poulet désossé, 1 tasse d'huile, 1 tasse de farine, 2 tasses céleri haché, 1 tasse ½ piments hachés, 1 tasse oignon hachés, 3-4 gousses d'ail hachées, sel, ½ tasse herbes provences, 1 c. à table de poivre de cayenne, ½ tasse de persil frais.

Instructions: Dans un chaudron, faire bouillir le poulet dans l'eau. Dans un deuxième chaudron, mélanger l'huile et la farine pour préparer un roux foncé. Le roux est le secret de cette recette, et il est très facile à manquer! Il faut cuire le mélange pour environ 20 min.à temp. élevée, jusqu'à l'obtention d'un mélange noir chocolat, épais, mais pas brûlé... À feu moyen, faire griller l'ail, les oignons, le piment, le céleri avec le roux, ajouter les herbes et assaisonner. Rajouter un peu d'eau au roux, remuer, incorporer graduellement le poulet cuit, et pour terminer, le persil. Servir sur du riz, déguster!Le gumbo peut se faire avec d'autres viandes, comme du boeuf ou du poisson, ou avec d'autres légumes, la seule vraie constante étant le roux en tant que tel.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this itinerary, but mostly I’m wondering if it’s possible—and worth it—to take a one-way flight to Abu Simbel. We’d like to spend a night there to take our time visiting the site early in the morning and catch the sound-and-light show in the evening, then head to Aswan with a private driver or by bus.

We (two couples of friends) will be spending 6 full days there in early November. Here’s what we’ve planned so far. DAY 0: Arrival in Tokyo in the evening, so rest and dinner near the hotel.

DAY 1:

09:00 – Shinjuku Gyoen Park

Must-see: ✔ Japanese garden (red bridge, pond) ✔ French garden (perspective and rose garden) ✔ English garden (lawns and maple trees) Photo spot: Red bridge + red maples (koyo).

11:00 – Harajuku & Takeshita Street

Walking route:

Start with Takeshita-dori (kawaii fashion, Japanese crepes). Walk up to Omotesandō (designer architecture: Dior, Prada).

If so, what’s the official website? - If buying on-site, can you pay in euros? Or by credit card? Or do you absolutely need local currency? - Which entrance is best? The one up top, near the Great Pyramid of Khufu, or the one down by the Sphinx—probably less crowded but seems a bit "jumbled" from a video I saw? - During Ramadan, I think the site is open from 8 AM to 4 PM. Not keen on sharing the pyramids with busloads of tourists... Would you recommend arriving at 8 AM? What about the morning haze at that time? - Coming from the "New Cairo" area, is Uber the best way to get to the pyramids? I read there’s a metro not too far from the pyramids, but I have no idea if it goes to New Cairo. - How much do vendors hassle you on-site? Is it just at the entrance or also inside the site itself? Hello, we’re a couple over 70 and will be spending about six weeks in Réunion next January/February, staying first in Saint-Leu and then in Saint-Pierre, each time in independent accommodations. At the start of November, a bit of rest before winter will be perfect to kick off this travel journal. There aren’t many recent journals about this part of the world, so I’ll take the plunge—my way of celebrating the (unexpected) return of this forum, which has been such a big part of my life for over 15 years.

So, back to Asia at the end of 2023. After Myanmar in 2015 and Vietnam in 2018, we’ve chosen Laos this time. And when talking with friends (you know how it is—everyone asks, "So, where are you going this year?"), a couple of friends asked to join us ("You see, my wife dreams of a trip to Asia, and I dream of traveling like you, independently"). We’ve spent a week with them (and other friends) in Portugal, so we know they’re easygoing and flexible. They’ll only be with us after Christmas (due to lots of grandkids), so deal—we’re bringing them along! A new experience for us.

A new experience that’ll start with tweaking the itinerary. Originally, I planned to stay a month in Laos, but what could be more magical for my friend’s wife than discovering Asia by way of Angkor! Plus, our two daughters asked for some beach time at the end of the trip! So, it’ll be Laos and Cambodia—neither of which we’ve visited before, so no complaints there.

The route will be pretty classic, though a bit scattered to fit our dates and wishes. For us, we’ll arrive in Luang Prabang (LP) to take some time to acclimate, then a few days in the northern Laos mountains, Nong Khiaw and Muang Ngoi. Back to LP for a direct flight to Pakse. Yes, I know—so many amazing places we’ll miss along the way, but as you know, choosing means letting go... From Pakse, I’m leaving a few days open (no bookings), but I’m eyeing Champassak and the 4,000 Islands. That’s where Mariel and Naty (our friends!) will join us on December 30th. I’ve tentatively added the Bolaven Plateau loop to the plan (still no bookings). Their Laos adventure will be short—by January 3rd, we’ll cross the border into Cambodia, heading straight to Siem Reap for 5 days. Then, I’ll fulfill my promise with a magical detour to Koh Rong Sanloem via a night bus (a must-do in Asia!). On to Phnom Penh for 2 days—where our trip ends, while Mariel and Naty will stop in Bangkok for 3 days before flying home.

So, fasten your seatbelts, flight attendants at the doors, and sorry for the long intro—here we go on this Asian adventure!
