mais je pars 3 semaines aux states et j'aimerais savoir que faire si je suis malade sur place ? Probleme comme une Grippe, aller donc chez le medecin, dentiste ou meme hopital car on est pas al'ibrit d'un accident ?
En tout cas j'ai pris avec mon billet d'avion une assurance multi risque qui est cencée couvrir tout, autant le retard ou loupé de vol que si je suis malade et si je devais etre rappatrié !
J'espere ne pas avoir de soucis la bas mais que faire si j'avais un problem et aller au medecin et acheter des medicaments ? Dois avoir des documents particuliers a faire remplire pour etre remboursé a mon retour en France ? Dois je faire l'avance des frais ??? Enfin je suis un peu perdu la dessus alors j'aimerais bien savoir ou est ce que je pourrais trouver ces information ?
Généralement vous devez informer votre assureur avant une hospitalisation ou un traitement qqconque, le mieux donnez leur un coup de téléphone pour savoir exactement quels sont leurs conditions..............
crois en mon expérience, une assurance c'est toujours utile en voyage, n'importe-ou!!,
Aux states, si tu as des assurances, pas de problèmes! le système va te prendre en charge comme un hotel 5 étoiles! Possible que l'hopital ne facture pas directement ton assureur alors tu devras débourser de ta poche. Quant à moi, pour une simple otite (EXTERNE!!) nécessistant des petites gouttes otiques avec un antibiotique, la visite et le médicament ça m'est revenu a 400$ canadiens (maintenant ça serait beaucoup moins avec l'échange) mais c'était autour de 280 US! Alors c'est te dire avoir une carte de crédit pour les imprévus c'Est très utile!
Mais le service... chapeau... on passé à la clinique en moins de 45 minutes, payé, merci!!! ici au québec, meme sur une civière en ambulance ça risque d'être + long!
Par experience, l'hopital te facture tout, tu paies et tu peux te faire rembourser par la suite.
Pour moi, ça s'est passé de la manière suivante.
envoi de la facture à la secu🤪
remboursement à la mutuelle, enfin, tout comme d'habitude en France, sauf que là le remboursement a été très minime.et ensuite seulement remboursement par l'assurance au vu des bordereaux sécu+mutuelle ET facture originale.
alors demandes en plusieurs à l'hopital au cas où tu devrais y avoir recours.
La première chose qu'on te demandera si tu appelles un medecin, un hopital un dentiste, c'es si tu as une assurance.c'est assez galère tout de même.Comme tu n'auras sûrement pas de carte, mais un contrqt en français, (voire rien du tout si tu ne le demandes pas), les americains ne prendront pas ton assurance en direct. C'est ce qui m'est arrivé.
Téléphone à ton assureur pour te faire expliquer les modalités.

Ce n'est mon assureur en France ? Donc c'est pas genant ? il faut simplement que je prenne mon contrat d'assurance ELVIA ainsi que mon numero de contrat et je les appelle si probleme ? car je suppose que ce sera eux qui me rembourseront et pas mon assurance locale en France ?

En fait si ta mutuelle te couvre à l'étranger (en général pour un séjour max de 90 jours), il te suffit de prendre ton numéro de contrat et le numéro de téléphone de l'"assistance"...; et de les appeler en cas de pépin (joignable 24h/24h)
oui, je suis bien d'accord avec toi, mais tu es quand même obligés d'avancer les frais, car si tu n'as pas de carte d'assurance americaine, l'hopital te fera payer..Tu n'es remboursé qu'après..
Ça m'a couté 300$ pour 2 heures a l'hosto et 300$ de visite chez un specialiste, tout en ayant appelé Europ Assistance de l'hopital pour les prévenir et faire une ouverture de dossier🤪😐😐😐😐😕😮

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
