I'm considering a cruise from Saigon to Siem Reap in Cambodia on the boat *La Marguerite* with Rivages du Monde. I'd love to hear from travelers who've done this cruise. Thanks in advance! Amantinou

Hi there,

I’ve never traveled with them myself, but I think the quality is great—I’ve had tons of really positive feedback from my clients! The itinerary is simply stunning (it’s been catching my eye for ages before I finally chose the Emirates with Celestyal).

The all-inclusive package and the boat itself are just amazing!

If I were you, I wouldn’t overthink it ;)

Hi there,

It had been catching my eye for ages before I finally chose the Emirates with Celestyal.

Hi Amélie, thanks for your feedback. We’re leaving from Doha from March 1st to 8th, 2025, and we already know Celestyal.
J'ai eu la chance (travail et plaisir) de parcourir toute la France. Je suis aussi allé vers 120 autres pays et fait 43 croisières maritimes et fluviales avec 7 compagnies.

Hi Blanche, Last year we did the Mekong River cruise up to Siem Reap (Angkor) with CroisiEurope on the Indochine 2. It was perfect. With Rivages du Monde and that boat, it might be a bit less upscale, but the Mekong and Cambodia are really interesting. Hi Amélie. Thanks so much for your valuable feedback. Have you heard any positive reviews about the cruise on the RV Amandara with the British company Amawaterways?

If you have the budget for AmaWaterways but also speak English (or you're a French-speaking group because they’ll provide a French-speaking guide), then for me, there’s not even a shred of hesitation... I’ve done 3 cruises with Ama, one with Croisi (but never with Rivages du Monde), and by far—*way* by far—Ama! The beds, the organization, the quality of the food, etc., everything is perfect with Ama (yes, I’m totally smitten)

I don’t know Ama, but it seems tough to beat Croisieurope with the Indochine 2. And it’s completely French-speaking!!

But of course I also really like Croisi, and yes, Croisi is 100% French-speaking where AmaWaterways isn’t at all. The difference lies in the stops (Ama really goes where others don’t—they offer excursions that truly go off the beaten path). Still, the Croisi cruise is amazing too. But the original question was about Rivages du Monde. And again, if I have to compare Rivages du Monde and Ama, and if English isn’t an issue, then Ama again without any hesitation! ☺️

Hi Amélie, A big thank you for your feedback about AmaWaterways. It really reinforces the great impression I had after my first look at their website. I’ve reached out to them and I’m going to sign up for a cruise in January 2026.
