Je demeure à Cabarete 6 mois par ans depuis 5 ans, le meilleur conseil que je puisse te donner c'est prend ton temps. Vas vivre là-bas un hiver au moins 4 mois, regarde et prospecte pour un business, parle aux proprios, informe-toi. Tu décidera après si c'est qq chose que tu veux. Je connais plusieurs personnes qui ont investit et ont tout perdu d'autres qui ont réussis à se faire une petite vie confortable mais sont loin d'être devenues riches . Dans Sosua et Cabarete, tout est établit il y a plus de restos que partout ailleurs, et plusieurs bars.

Il y a qq années j, avais fais le projet de racheter un petit hotelito (4 chambres +resto) à LAS TERRENAS...
J'y suis allé d, abord comme touriste, suis resté une semaine à cet hotel seul touriste....en février, considéré comme haute saison....
Je n, ai rien acheté. Depuis j, ai appris que ce hotelito, pourtant tres propre et tres bien situé a été revendu 3 fois! Faut juste se poser quelques questions....?
Ceci dit il doit certainement y avoir encore de bonnes affaires à faire en république, mais il faut prendre son temps et éviter d'acheter d'un expatrié. Et pour faire affaire avec un dominicain il faut parler correctement l, espagnol....😉

La gérance de projet de construction est beaucoup plus intéressant que le projet de resto-bar en tant que viabilité. Je vous conseillent de voir comment un projet de construction en RD est différent d'un projet au Québec. Tout est en bloc de béton et en béton armé, aucune ou presque pas de structures de bois comme ici, sauf pour les pöles de bamboo, dont ils se servent pour maintenir le béton en place pendant qu'il sèche.
Si j'étais dans la construction, j'envisagerais plutôt de démarer une entreprise de maintenance domiciliaire. Je m'explique, il est très difficile ici de trouver des gens qualifiés pour faire les travaux de réparation ou de maintenance tel que peinture, électricité, menuiserie, céramique etc.... On engage quelqu'un et il ne se présente pas ou il ne complète pas le travail. Petit anecdote, une amie a j'ai fait peinturer son salon et le peintre n'a pas enlever les toiles et docorations sur le mur, au lieu, il a pris le temp de très bien faire le découpage alentour.
c'est vrai que c'est une alternative interessante, , , surtout que je ne savait pas qu'il y avais un manque dans ce domaine, ,

je ne sais pas où vous en êtes de vos projets.... mais si vous êtes allés faire un tour sur cette magnifique Ile vous vous êtes rendu compte, je l'espère, que beaucoup a été fait mais que beaucoup reste à faire....
A mon avis, il serait sans doute profitable d'abandonner l'idée d'un lieu de restauration et viser ce qui fait la vie de tous les jours (société de services par exemple) pour les dominicains... (informatique, téléphonie, transports, pneus (eh oui!), la sécurité des maisons, etc etc... les Dominicains s'enrichissent doucement et seront amener de plus en plus à consommer... il suffit de constater depuis 2/3 ans l'explosion des téléphones portables! (comme les Dominicains n'ont pas de compte bancaires, pas ou très peu d'abonnement par exemple...
Moins amusant qu'un bar-resto mais sans doute plus viable...
Donc, en résumé, tourner le dos au tourisme et travailler avec les Dominicains... et question langue, en à peine 6 mois d'immersion totale vous parlerez espagnol si vraiment vous le souhaitez!

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
