Je suis actuellement en France, diplômé d’un master, j’ai alterné études en France, travail en Angleterre (ouvrier agricole), à Sydney (commercial), Shanghai (publicité dans le luxe), et études aux USA (business).
J’ai décidé de quitter la France début janvier 2010 et de ne plus jamais (tenter d')y chercher du travail. Ma décision est prise et je ne ferai pas marche arrière.
A la question de savoir l'endroit où je souhaite vivre / travailler, je n'ai qu'une seule réponse et elle est extrêmement claire pour moi : Los Angeles.
J’envisage donc 2 scénarios :
1. Aller cherche un stage à Los Angeles (j’ai repris en septembre une inscription universitaire, je pense donc pouvoir bénéficier du visa J-1 (?) )
Si je dois attendre 6 mois pour trouver quelque chose et obtenir les papiers, ce n’est même pas la peine d'envisager cette solution.
2. Retourner à Shanghai, me faire une expérience qui me permettra de prétendre à de meilleurs jobs, et surtout ...attendre que l'économie Californienne reparte.
Aller à L.A tout de suite, je ne le sens pas du tout... (j’ai prospecté depuis la France, je n’ai reçu aucune proposition, je n'ai pas de réel plan d’action sur place et je ne compte pas y aller pour faire de la vente BtoC, sur des produits bas de gamme, en étant à l'age de pierre au niveau de la relation client, comme je l'ai fait à Sydney). Compte tenu du rapport entre l’offre et la demande ...je pense me ramasser la figure à L.A. – d’un autre coté ne pas y vivre me rend complètement malade et Shanghai ce n'est pas un eldorado (pour la qualité de vie et les salaires), mais mon (unique) réseau professionnel s'y trouve.
Je pense donc choisir de retourner en Chine.
Si vous connaissez bien le marché du travail en Californie, auriez-vous des conseils ou des suggestions ?
Bonjour, il semble que la Californie ne soit pas le meilleur endroit pour trouver un job en ce moment, j'ai un très bon ami Japonais
qui vit a San Fransisco, très bon commercial en équipement de travaux publics, parlant evidemment japonais et anglais, avec 20 ans d'expérience professionnelle et un bon carnet d'adresses, cela fait un an qu'il est au chomage!
Donc passe un peu de temps a Shangai, au moins cela bouge et il y a de si belles chinoises.
je suis à peu prés dans le même cas que toi j'ai fini mes études de master 2 en banque finance, apres plusieurs stages à paris et à l'etranger, je me suis enfin decider à partir à los angeles pour essayer de trouver un stage une fois la bas
je suis comme toi je ne connais personne la bas, et encore moins la ville.
j'ai contacté quelques organisme en france qui placent les gens pour des stages mais malheureusement les prix sont hallucinants et ce n'est meme pas sur qu'il te trouve un stage dans ton domaine
je pars le 26 janvier 2010, je compte après avoir fais toute mes démarches administrative ou bien m'inscrire à une fac pour au moins trouver des petit jobs dans le campus et me familiariser à la vie la bas ou bien commencer a chercher des stages dans touts les domaines (concernant mon domaine ce n'est pas trop la joie lol)
ce que je fais est certes aventurier mais je sens que je perd mon temps à paris, le marché de l'emploi n 'est pas pour autant favorable.
La galère fait partie de la vie, et si on ne provoque pas le destin, je ne pense pas qu'on pourra avancer dans la vie.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
