L'accès internet fonctionne-t-il comme en France ? oui mais c'est beaucoup plus cher!!! Idem pour les abonnements de téléphones portables (je recommande credo mais les plus courants sont verizon, etc -il y a une discussion sur le forum spécifiquement sur les tél portables aux US jette-y un oeil. Si tu as un forfait en France, annule-le.

Capte-t-on les chaînes françaises , ou faut-il une installation spéciale ? non tu ne captes pas "les chaines françaises" même avec une installation spéciale. Tu peux capter TV5Monde qui est un bouquet composé d'émissions de F2, F3, F4, F5, TSR, RTBF. Cela fait partie d'un bouquet spécial. Il y a aussi 2 chaines en espagnol (+ par bouquet spécial). Attention, la TNT gratuite n'existe pas. La télé est par cable et même le "basic cable" est assez cher.
Quelles ont les grandes surfaces intéressantes pour le quotidien ? Tout dépend de ce que tu appelles "intéressantes". Pour les prix, Walmart, par contre la qualité, beurk... (Pour l'experience, vas dans un Walmart et lis les étiquettes de produits que tu connais bien en France. Même si ton anglais est mauvais tu verras très rapidement qu'il y a une quantité hallucinante d'additifs...) Sinon, Whole Foods plus cher mais qualité équivalente à ce qu'on trouve dans un bon supermarché français.

la difficulté n'est pas d'en trouver, mais de les payes. Vérifie que ton mari a une bonne couverture santé et qu'elle te prend en compte sinon tu devras tout payer de ta poche et comparé à la France les prix doivent être multipliés par 5 ou 10.

Prends des cours avant de partir. Sinon, achète English for life, niveau elementary (si vraiment tu n'as fait que 2 ans d'anglais il y a très longtemps) ou pre-intermediate (si tu en as fait jusqu'au bac et que c'était il y a longtemps). English for life, comme le nom l'indique, est une méthode pour adultes avec des situations de la vie courante. Vas sur youtube et tape ESL+beginner et tu verras des leçons, des situations, etc.
A Las Vegas, parler espagnol est un atout donc si tu parles bien espagnol tu pourras t'en sortir. Ceci dit je te recommande quand même de bosser l'anglais. Imagine arriver en France en ne parlant que néerlandais ou swahili, comme on est isolé...

a priori on devrait vous attribuer un logement, car sur Las Vegas il y en a plein - entre les énormes barraques (mcmansions= de la surface mais en matériel "léger") et les apparts, avant la crise, ça construisait tellement qu'ils devaient construire de nouvelles écoles tous les 3 mois! Et puis la crise est arrivée, et :s les chantiers ont fermé, les gens sont partis, ou restés, mais enfin il y a largement de quoi vous loger.
Il y a des cours d'esl offerts par le community college et par UNLV (l'université). Les églises (ou mosquées, synagogues, temples, selon ta religion) servent de mjc/centre social et ont des cours du soir en anglais, généralement pour les hispaniques qui travaillent sur LV. Sans oublier toutes les associations de quartier. Donc tu n'auras aucun mal à apprendre l'anglais. Si tu as des enfants, propose-toi pour aider à l'école, tu t'intègreras très facilement.

Il ne faut pas exagérer, il n'y a pas tant de latinos que cela à Las Vegas, ce n'est pas comme à miami (où j'habite) et où je dois la plupart du temps parler avec mes mains avec des hispaniques qui ne parlent strictement pas un mot d'anglais :-)
Moi aussi je réflechis à un emménagement à Vegas. Cela en est au stade de l'étude mais je ne supporte plus le climat de la Floride, il faut que je bouge dans un endroit SEC, et Las Vegas me branche pas mal.
Los Angeles est à quelques heures de route, il fait beau quasiment tous les jours, zero humidité, Des restaurants incroyables, des shows non-stop, le niveau de vie est pas cher (logement, courses) et l'est encore moins depuis la crise immobilière qui créé de surcroît des opportunités d'investissement...
En tout cas rassures toi, il y a tellement de migrants aux USA que personne ne va te regarder de travers parce que tu baragouines un semblant d'anglais !
