Je vais effectuer un séjour de plusieurs mois en 2010 dans la ville de Rimouski à l'UQAR dans le cadre de mes études.
Avant de partir, il serait fortement souhaitable que je trouve un logement!!!! J'aimerais savoir les justificatifs demandés pour une demande d'appartement et s'il y a des aides financières apportées aux étudiants (car en France c'est le cas et pas que pour les étudiants!). Que veut dire un 2 1/2 ?? quels sont les prix effectués sur le marché en matière de location?
déjà ton post tu ne l'as pas placé au bon endroit tu aurais dû le mettre à "travailler vivre à l'étranger..."
le 2 et demi veux dire le chiffre pour le nombre de pièces et le demi pour la salle de bain,
mais parcours l'historique des posts tu auras la plupart des réponses .

car ils veulent s'assurer que tu auras assez d'argent pour régler ton loyer.
je pense qu'au départ tu peux prendre une coloc au moins tu ne seras pas seule quitte à changer par la suite.
mais pour l'intégration c'est très important de connaitre des gens qui peuvent te guider.

il faudrait vérifier auprès de l'UQAR s'ils n'offrent pas un service d'hébergement. Ils ont peut-être une liste de personnes louant des appartements, ou cherchant des colocataires.
J'envisagerais aussi la possibilité de louer une chambre avec accès cuisine (moins onéreuse) . Cela te donnerait le temps de rencontrer des gens et de voir venir !
Rimouski est une belle ville en bord du fleuve, les gens y sont accueillants. Ne pas oublier des vêtements très chauds en prévision de l'hiver.
Il est illégal au Québec de demander le paiement à l'avance de plus d'un mois de loyer. C'est à dire, que lors de la signature du bail, le propriétaire peut demander immédiatement le paiement du premier mois seulement de loyer. Exemple, je signe un bail aujourd'hui pour la période du 1er oct 2009 au 30 sept 2010, il peut exiger le paiement immédiat pour le mois d'octobre 2009. En octobre, je prends possession de mon logement et je n'ai rien à payer puisque ce paiement a déjà été effectué, le deuxième paiement se fera le 1er novembre 2009 pour le loyer de novembre 2009 etc etc
A l'UQAR, ils offrent des appartements de 4 chambres aux étudiants. Si tu es seule, tu es placé avec 3 autres personnes. Et là, il y a une cuisine et un salon. C'est juste à l'arrière de l'Université.
C'est le best pour te faire des amis.
Sinon ils ont un service d'aides aux étudiants pour le logtemps et ils pourront alors te donner une liste d'adresse ou les propriétaires louent exclusivement aux étudiants.
Mais je te suggère fortement la première option.

A ce que j'ai cru comprendre, vous connaissez les lieux!!!! Le problème qui s'est posé vis-à vis de la location sur le campus c'est que je ne viens que pour le trimestre d'hiver! Même si je suis étudiante étrangère, les étudiants à qui l'université propose un logement sont des étudiants venant pour 8 mois.
Mais, la deuxième solution qui m'a été soufflée par un internaute précédemment et vous mérite d'être creusée!

Il faudrait que je retrouve le site mais il me semble que le propriétaire peut demander jusqu'à 1/2 mois de loyer en caution qui sera remis, avec intérêts, à la fin du bail si l'appartement est en bon état... ?
Concernant tout dépôt pour garantie, c'est dans le code civil du Québec et cette partie concernant le bail d'un logement, est administrée par la Régie du logement. Alors absolument interdit mis à part le premier mois de loyer.

Cette pratique est illégale au Québec. Les proprios peuvent exiger uniquement le premier mois. S'ils le font, il faut refuser et porter plainte. Si tu as donné 12 chèques post-datés, Schawna, c'est que tu t'es fait rouler 😉

12 chèques postdatés ne sont pas des paiements puisque pour qu'il y ait paiement, il faut que le chèque soit encaissé donc aucun problème dans le cas de chèques postdatés ces derniers ne pouvant être encaissés qu'à la date convenue et on peut en tout temps, faire un arrêt de paiement.
Il n'est donc pas illégal de demander des chèques postdatés, si cela convenait aux 2 parties.
Mais le propriétaire ne peut toutefois pas l'exiger.
Sinon, il faudra que les parties conviennent comment se fera le paiement du loyer est-ce que ce sera le proprio qui ira chercher ou le locataire qui ira payer ou postera le paiement pour la date convenue.

C'est bien moins froid que Québec par exemple, mais c'est un ton en dessous de Montréal quand même.
La grosse différence, c'est au niveau de l'été (quand il y en a un...) qui est très frais même en temps normal.
Rimouski est une petite ville (43.000 hts) et les transports sont peu développés. En hiver, tout est plus ou moins ralenti, en fonction de la météo.
Et on dit Rismouskois(e). 😉
