Je me demandais si on pouvait me donner des conseils pour passer une saison à travailler dans les Alpes françaises. Je sais que je m'y prends un peu tard, mais j'éspère qu'il n'est pas encore TROP tard. Ça m'a pris un peu de temps à obtenir mon visa de travail (il est valide pour un an.) Donc, j'ai commencé à faire des recherches en ligne mais j'aimerais bien avoir de l'information plus personalisée.
En tant que travail, je n'ai pas beaucoup d'expérience en hôtelerie, mais j'ai beaucoup d'expérience de voyage et je me débrouille bien avec les gens. Je parle bien l'anglais, français, espagnol, et assez bien l'italien et l'allemand. J'aimerais travailler quelque part ou je pourrais utiliser ces langues, soit comme serveur, réception à l'hôtel, conducteur, ça m'importe peu... idéalement ça serait assez bien payé, logé et nourri (sinon, j'ai l'impression que le logement sera difficile à trouver). Et enfin, ça serait sympa si c'était une petite station avec des chalets, pas trop de béton, etc... C'est trop demander tout ensemble?
En fait, selon ce que j'ai lu, je crois bien que j'aimerais rester à Chamonix. Mais je ne sais vraiment pas si c'est facile de trouver un emploi, et c'est pour ça que je fais un appel général pour des recommendations que vous pourriez me faire. En fait, je crois que ça serait plus facile de trouver un emploi à travers de contacts personnels, que par les offres offerts en ligne. Je me demande si je peux apprendre quelque chose de votre expérience.
Serait tu intéressé par les Alpes du Sud ? Connais tu la station de La Grave. Petite station mais réputation internationale grâce à "La Meije"... As-tu déjà travaillé en service, quel genre d’établissement ? en cuisine ? Bonne journée
A ce point ci, je serais intéressé par n'importe ou ou je pourrais me trouver un bon emploi! Mais oui, en fait, La Grave à l'air sympa et La Meije à l'air fantastique. En tant qu'expérience, j'ai eu plusieurs petits emplois: j'ai travaillé comme cuisinier dans une agence d'hospitalité à Sydney (ils faisaient des BBQ pour le jour de l'an, par exemple), puis dans une gelatería, puis cet été comme conducteur de "Rickshaw" en Autriche. J'ai obtenu mon certificat de service de l'alcool en Australie; j'avais l'intention de devenir barman mais enfin de compte, je n'ai pas eu le temps. Même si je n'ai pas de diplôme en Hôtelerie, je suis très confiant que je pourrai apprendre les détails de la job assez rapidement, si je réussi à me faire embaucher. As-tu un poste en particulier à me suggérer?

J'ai discuté ce WE avec mes contacts là bas mais il ne reste plus de job interessants, la saison est déjà bien avancée pour les saisonniers qui ont postulé depuis longtemps. Car le problème n'est pas tant le job, mais plutot le logement. Certains restaurateurs ont du mal à trouver du personnel faute de logements. Les places job/nourri (1repas)/logé, sont prises et les prix des loc sont délirants pour un "permanent", il faudrait partager le studio à 3 au moins.
Voilà, je suis désolée de ne pouvoir t'aider plus, du moins pour cette saison ci.

j'aimerais savoir, car tu as l'air de t'y connaitre, à quel moment de l'année commence la saison et à quel moment dois-je postuler pour un emploi loger pour l'hiver 2006-2007, je pars en voyage au mois de mai alors il me sera difficile de le faire après cela! Mais est ce qu'il est trop tot pour le faire présentement puisque je suis sur d'aller en france? et serais tu au courant du salaire et des conditions de travail (s'il y a des journées de congée collé pour que je puisse voyager un peu ) Et finalement ma dernière question la grosse saison se termine quand ? merci beaucoup!!
parce qu'il y a souvent des reportages ici qui denoncent les mauvais plans aux sports d'hiver en france, notamment, tous les saisonniers qui se font arnaquer par les patrons de resto ou d'hotels
ils savent tres bien que bcp de jeunes veulent bosser et aller au ski alors ils violent souvent les lois en payant au rabais, avec des horaires inhumains ou encore font payer des logements insalubres
alors quitte a bosser en tant que saisonnier, autant avoir un poste ou tu gagneras bien ta vie et seras bien loti: mono !
ma soeur a fait un stage dans un hotel l'hiver dernier, elle a pas eu l'occasion une seule fois de skier, ils l'ont fait bosser pratiquement 12h par jour
elle etait trop cassee apres pour sortir
on a pas porter plainte parce qu'elle avait besoin de valider ce stage pour son BAFA d'animatrice...
Les demandes se font dans la seconde partie de l’été et courant septembre mais il n’y a pas de règle pour cela, certains saisonniers sur place par exemple terminent en ayant déjà une place ailleurs pour la prochaine saison. Tu peux donc tout a fait commencer tes démarches et ainsi mieux cibler ta station, pour avoir ensuite la possibilité de faire un choix entre diverses propositions.
La saison commence en décembre et se termine en avril en gros. Là aussi, au niveau de la restauration, il peut y avoir quelques modif, à voir donc.
Concernant les conditions de travail, et bien c’est également très très variable. Les meilleures places sont logiquement prises ou proposées à ceux qui sont saisonniers réguliers et qui se sont fait « une place » ou des connaissances au fil des ans. Tout ceci est question de négociations mais il te faut je pense déterminer auparavant ce pourquoi tu fais ça : l’argent, le ski (ou autre), ou une experience conviviale faite de rencontres, fiesta et Cie.
Quoi qu’il en soit, faire une saison n’est pas de tout repos et tu as rarement 2 jours consécutifs. Ce peut etre 1 jour meme ou 1.5 jour (non consécutif), cela dépend. Si tu veux coupler travail et sport ou amusement, il ne faut pas etre marmotte….
L’exploitation existe, plus ou moins importante selon l’établissement et le dirigeant mais les saisonniers ne sont pas non plus toujours faciles à gérer pour les patrons…
Quoi qu’il en soit, à 19 ans j’ai fait une saison à Cannes dans un établissement de luxe du festival à fin aout. Grosso modo, 1 800 F/ mois (stage) pour 14 à 16H/jour. Pain beni pour eux, mais vois tu, je ne regrette pas ces 4 mois passés dans un « autre monde », ni les nuits blanches, ni les siestes sur la plage de 15h à 17h pour récupérer ou le port de collants obligatoires meme en aout…
C’est une experience, des souvenirs mémorables, mais il faut souvent une grande résistance et capacité d’adaptation.
