Comme beaucoup d'entre vous j'imagine, je suis muté à Mayotte pour au moins deux ans, avec ma femme et mon fils de deux an.
Ne connaissant pas l'île, je lis beaucoup de choses ici et là pour trouver le coin de vie idéal (s'il existe) dans ma situation.
Je suis très motivé pour aller vivre à Mayotte, ma famille et moi connaissons Madagascar et l'océan Indien nous a toujours attiré.
En fait je chercherais une bourgade quand même animée, plutôt en brousse, dans la verdure tropicale, un petit port par exemple, avec une maison et un petit jardin, pas de confort particulier, juste salubre et agréable finalement.
Un coin plutôt propre car Mayotte par endroits ne me semble par dépourvu de cet attribut. Non loin d'une route qui rejoindrait la capitale en pas trop de temps...
Je n'envisage que très peu les alentours de Mamoudzou et j'avais plutôt pensé à Chinconi, Ouangani ou Dembéni.
Et le sud? Kani-Kéli? Avantages- inconvénients?
En fin de compte, quelqu'un sur le forum aurait-il la gentillesse de me faire une bref topo sur les différents coins de Mayotte?
Serait-il possible également d'avoir un apreçu sur le niveau de prix des loyers sur l'île, car j'ai lu pas mal d'infos contradictoire...

alors il faut s'installer à Dzaoudzi.
Le problème c'est que si vous travaillez à Mamoudzou il faut prendre le bac pour traverser.
Sinon je ne peux pas trop vous conseiller sur les endroits je ne connais que ceux cités précédemment.
Mayotte c'est très petit, la ville de Mamoudzou c'est une petite ville de province voire un gros village.
On peut très vite grimper derrière Mamoudzou dans la forêt tropicale.
Question déchets nous sommes tous confrontés au problème à Mayotte !!!
Pour ma part j'habite le bout du Sud: Boueni. Village tranquille , appart en bord de plage mais à 1 heure de Mamoudzou (MDZ) même "prestation pour M zamboro sauf que Boueni est proche de Chirongui ( à 15 minutes ) où il y a une station service, et un petit super marché, pas besoin d'aller à MDZ pour les courses.
Dembeni , 1/2 heure de route pour MDZ c''est là où on trouve les fruits et légumes à acheter (en bord de route) , mais pas de maison en bord de plage à ma connaissance.
Dapani est un tout petit village en fond de baie , mais c'est la mangrove.
De toutes les façons éviter les lieux isolés en raison des cambriolages qui visent les "mzougous" (les "blancs ou étrangers)" . Comme en France métropolitaine il faut être vigilant !

Je ne veux pas être désagréable, mais depuis 2 ans, c'est l'enfer avec les vols et autres ? Cet état de fait est étroitement lié à l'efficacité de la police. Plus la police "chasse" les clandestins plus c'est difficile pour eux de vivre normalement, aussi pour survivre ils sont obligés de se servir.
Plus personne n'est à l'abri, et ce qui est plus inquiétant c'est que la violence est également de mise lors des vols.
J'adore Mayotte, mais je ne me voile pas les yeux pour autant. Quand aux quartiers Mzungou, ils catalisent certes les voleurs, mais s'ils n'existaient pas les voleurs iraient ailleurs.
Mais que dire des clandestins qui sont exploités par des mahorais sans scrupule. Ces clandestins qui servent à tout, construction, culture, garde d'enfant etc etc. On le voit moins dans les villes car c'est trop visible quoique et encore que j'ai visité des maisons à louer où le propriétaire utilisait des clandestins payés une misère.
Donc SVP pas d'anti mzungou primaire et si le fric des mzungous pue, pourquoi avoir voulu être département? Pourquoi ne pas être resté dans le giron des iles soeurs et vivre aussi bien en harmonie avec la nature et sans mzungous?
Si la France est à Mayotte c'est que la majorité des mahorais l'a voulu, alors pourquoi nous traiter d'étrangers? nous sommes français comme vous? Les métropolitains de parlent pas de sauvages ou autre en vous désignant, ils disent les mahorais comme on peut dire parisiens ou métropolitains.
Il va falloir apprendre la démocratie maintenant. Les mahorais ont voté pour être français alors il ne leur reste plus qu'à faire comme les autres français maintenant. Se départir de l'assistanat, donc se prendre en main, retrousser les manches et se mettre au travail.
La démocratie ce n'est pas dire que l'on veut être français parce que c'est plus cool que d'être sous la coupe d'un gouvernement trop intrusif et directif au quotidien, être français c'est aussi accepter la globalité de la France, donc accepter que des métros vivent à Mayotte et s'y installent comme accepter le fait que toute peine mérite salaire et surtout que tout salaire doit être la contrepartie d'un travail et non un dû. Si les mentalités ne changent pas, la fracture va s'élargir entre ceux qui prendront le train en marche et les autres.
