Au moins, il y a plus de chance que l'on reponde au téléphone et reponde à nos questions, ya plus de chance de trouver des infos sur le site web de VFS...
eh bien en voici un de témoignage 🤪 ...
Nous partons dans 15j avec notre fille de 9 ans en Inde pour un mois.
Apres avoir rempli dimanche soir le formulaire en ligne pour moi et mon compagnon, on me demande 30 euros de "referal fees" en plus par personne !
Je refuse évidemment de payer cette somme, 12 euros de plus par rapport a avant c'est deja pas mal, et je décide de supprimer les 2 dossiers (je viens de réaliser que c'est pas possible...en allant sur "retrive/modify a saved application" on peut juste modifier mais pas annuler !) et d'aller voir directement VHF Global.
Mon ami y va aujourd'hui, ils lui disent qu'il faut absolument remplir le formulaire en ligne et revenir les voir. Ok, re-belote, je recommence 😕. Et paf, mon navigateur plante juste au moment ou j'avais terminé, pas eu le temps de noter la référence pour retrouver mon dossier plus tard !
je me dis, pas grave, je recommence (je clique sur "create a new application"), mais là, plus possible, le truc est bloqué comme j'ai déja un formulaire rempli avec mon n° de passeport !
Entre temps je me rends compte que les formulaires remplis dimanche n'ont pas été supprimés (j'ai compris pourquoi maintenant !), et que de toute façon on ne peut pas les imprimer, ça renvoit à une page d'erreur ! Et mon formulaire, par je ne sais quel mystere, se retrouve associé au passeport de mon ami et non plus au mien ! J'vous jure je deviens dingue !!!
Quelqu'un a-t-il des infos, des témoignages, un tuyau ? Heeeeeelp !

Mauvaise organisation chez VF SERVICES, je suis allée déposer ma demande de Visa mardi 5 février à 9h30, j'avais 55 personnes devant moi sans compter les agences...j'ai attendu 5 heures avant de passer au guichet... donc allez y très tôt et prenez votre mal en patience...et puis désormais il faut remplir un formulaire en ligne mais moi j'avais un formulaire manuscrit et ils l'ont accepté... y a colle et ciseaux de dispo, prix visa tourisme 62 euros...
Pourras-tu également nous tenir au courant des suites de ta procédure et notamment nous indiquer ce qu'ils t'ont donné comme délai pour la récupération de ton passeport, à quel moment tu le récupéreras réellement et quel sera également le temps d'attente qui aura été nécessaire pour cette nouvelle opération ?
Cela intéresse, je pense, beaucoup de monde (à commencer par moi 😊😉).

Rapide pour le récupérer : 48 heures, retrait entre 14h et 17h du lundi au vendredi, mardi dernier les gens qui venaient pour des retraits passaient aussitôt, en fait il y a du personnel pour nous accueillir et en fonction des demandes, tu vas à un guichet bien précis...en ce qui me concerne, je suis pas sûr de pouvoir le retirer vendredi mais je vous tiens au courant...

J'ai appelé hier VFS pour leur expliquer la situation, et la personne que j'ai eue au tel m'a confirmé qu'en effet le site ne fonctionnait pas correctement, y a plein de bug, et il faut donc venir simplement comme avant avec le formulaire rempli à la main!
Mon compagnon y est allé ce matin, très tot comme conseillé 😉, (il y était à 7h30), et il est ressorti à 9h ! Il imaginait deja passer au moins 4 ou 5h la-bas, et puis non ! Ce qu'il faut savoir par contre c'est qu'il faut une photocopie du passeport, il m'a dit avoir perdu du temps a cause de ça et que ça aurait meme pu aller encore plus vite !
Je vous tiens au courant pour le délai pour récupérer le visa !

Visa : suite et fin pour moi : je suis allée récupérer mon Visa vendredi vers 16h30 et j'ai eu que 5 minutes d'attente...(ne pas oublier le récepissé donné lors du dépot)...l'employée m'a quand même demandé si j'avais une procuration pour récupérer les autres passeports (on part à 3) procuration que je n'avais pas mais avec un peu de diplomatie elle n'en a pas tenu compte...décollage le 25 février...
A moi d'en apporter des toutes fraîches valables pour cette semaine.
La récupération des visas au comptoir de VFS global ne se fait plus en début d'AM (de 12h à 17h), mais uniquement à partir de 18H (leurs bureaux restent d'ailleurs ouverts exceptionnellement toute la semaine jusqu'à 19h). Ceci est dû au fait que l'ambassade ne leur livre qu'en fin d'AM.
Le délai de récupération n'est pas de 48h mais bien de 72h.
Ces deux informations apparaissent clairement sur leur site et m'ont été confirmées par une personne de VFS global que j'ai contactée.
Enfin, dernière info : le suivi du passeport (pour savoir où en est votre passeport et éviter de vous déplacer pour rien) sur internet ne fonctionne pas. Ils ont un bug et même eux ne peuvent faire aucune interrogation sur l'avancement des délivrances.
Donc pour info, aujourd'hui (à partir de 18h), ce sont les passeports dont les demandes ont été déposées jeudi qui seront remis.

J'ai récupéré mon passeport (et mon visa) ce mercredi soir.
On m'avait annoncé qu'il fallait venir à 18h (je suis arrivé à 17h25 et avait 54 personnes devant moi - ticket faisant foi).
En fait, le retrait est assez rapide....à partir du moment où les visas sont bien arrivés à VFS. Mais, c'est là qu'il y a eu du retard.
La "distribution" a commencé à 19h10 et j'ai eu le mien à 19h25.
Donc ce fut laborieux, mais j'ai enfin le précieux sésame.
Conclusion : A ce jour, nous sommes encore loin des 48h annoncées dépôt le vendredi 8 février à 09h40 retrait le mercredi 13 février à 19h25

Je suis allé déposer mes passeports hier, soit mercredi et l'on m'a annoncé qu'il fallait dorénavant attendre une semaine pour obtenir son visa. En l'occurence, je ne pourrais récupérer mes documents que mardi prochain à compter de 18h00...Cette modification serait une demande de l'ambassade...

De mon côté je suis en galère j'ai fais ma demande pour un visa pour l'inde.
Problème: Il y à un gros bug sur le site et le nom de ma ville était mal écrit selon eux.
Pour m'assurer qu'ils le prenaient quand même j'ai envoyé ma demande et ils l'ont accépté cependant à ce moment pareil un bug sur mon navigateur et j'ai pas eu le temps de récuperer mon numéro de dossier.
Alors je vais voir la page pour les contacter et rien pas moyen: Un bug sur le site. Je n'ai aps envoyé mon passeport et ne compte pas tant que je n'aurais pas modifier ma demande et récupéré mon numero de dossier.
J'ai noté le numero indigo pour la demande d'aide mais sa me parait cheros la minute?
Avez vous des conseils j'ai le temps pour le visa. Que dois-je faire les appeler pour retrouver mon numéro de dossier mais vous me dites qu'on ne peux même pas modifier les dossiers... J'aimerais supprimer ma demande VHF Global mais n'habite pas à côté, comment faire?

J'ai fait ma demande sur place, au centre VFS de Paris...
Arrivée à 9h, sortie à 10h30... du monde mais défilé fluide...
Me fiant à plusieurs témoignages lus ici, sur VF, je n'avais même pas essayé de remplir le formulaire en ligne...
Je l'ai téléchargé ICI (uniquement pages 3 et 4) et rempli à la main en manuscrit...
La personne de VFS qui pré-vérifie le dossier avant d'attribuer un numéro permettant d'être appelé au guichet a un peu tiqué, me disant que ça ne passerait pas mais... j'ai tenu bon !... et obtenu un numéro !
Au guichet, on m'a redemandé à quel moment j'avais rencontré des difficultés en remplissant en ligne...
Mais ils reconnaissent que la procédure n'est pas au point et acceptent les imprimés remplis à la main...
J'ai déposé 2 dossiers :
- Passeport...
- Photocopie des 4 premières pages du passeport...
- Formulaire rempli daté et signé...
- 2 photos
- 62 € (possibilité de payer avec une carte de crédit)
Dépot jeudi matin, passeport rendus à priori mardi à partir de midi, sur présentation du reçu donné lors du dépot...
Si on retire le passeport d'une autre personne, il faudra que celle-ci établisse sur papier libre une procuration donnant autorisation...
Un numéro (figurant sur le reçu) permet de vérifier, au préalable, sur le site de VFS le retour et donc la disponibilité des passeports au centre...

après avoir lu tout ces témoignages sur l'obtention d'un visa pour l'Inde, et après avoir stressé graaave (vous faite peur avec vos témoignages), je viens à mon tour faire part de mon expérience, plutôt bien positive:
Donc j'ai envoyé tout les docs nécessaires (pour un visa tourisme de 3 mois, natif français), le mercredi 14 octobre en chronopost 13 (donc 21 euros en plus des 85 euros pour le passeport et des 5 euros de commissions de la poste).
J'ai suivi tout ça via internet:
- VFS (l'agence qui s'occupe des visa indiens) a reçu ma lettre le jeudi 15 octobre avant 13h,
- le jeudi sur le site de VFS ("suivi de votre demande") je pouvais voir qu'ils avaient envoyé ma demande à l'ambassade indienne
- le vendredi sur le site de VFS je pouvais lire que ma demande avait été reçu de l'ambassade et qu'elle avait été envoyé par chronopost.
- aujourd'hui, mardi 20 octobre, j'ai trouvé dans ma boîte aux lettres le bordereau de chronopost me disant que le facteur était passé, je suis allée à la poste le chercher direct.
Et c'est bon! Total: 6 jours, dont 2 non ouvré (samedi et dimanche, non?), donc 4 jours, alors qu'ils annonçaient 12 jours...
Parfois la vie est cooool!
Y a plus qu'à faire son sac et partir!!! Et profiter!

I’m planning a trip from France to Alberta/British Columbia, and I’m unsure about which bank card to use for the security deposit with the rental company (I’m thinking of going with AVIS).
I contacted Avis Canada, and they told me a credit card is absolutely required. I asked my bank for a credit card (a *real* credit card), but they only offered me a deferred debit card.
My question: For a rental with Avis Canada, is a Gold International Mastercard deferred debit card usable for the security deposit needed to finalize the rental? Is the "CREDIT" label enough? (Some cards say "CREDIT" and others say "CARTE DE CREDIT"—seems minor, but it’s actually a big deal in how the card works.)
I’ve seen conflicting info everywhere I look... My bank says it’s *usually* okay (the deferred debit card), while Avis Canada insists it *must* be a credit card, not debit—even when I mention the deferred debit card.
I know the whole credit card concept is already confusing, and on top of that, some sites say a deferred debit card counts as a credit card, while others say it doesn’t.

I’ll explain my situation.
Unfortunately, I lost my passport, and I only realized it two weeks before my departure for a humanitarian mission in Libya. I’m a nurse, and this mission really means a lot to me.
First, I applied for an emergency passport, but it was denied by the Val-d'Oise prefecture on the grounds that a planned humanitarian mission wasn’t considered an urgent reason.
So, I submitted a biometric passport application on July 20th. Since then, the tracking has been stuck, and the town hall can’t (or won’t) give me any clear information. Every time I call, I get a different story. The last update I received was that the passport had been produced since July 23rd with a status of "about to be shipped," but nothing since then.
I’ve managed to push my departure back to next Tuesday at the latest, but I’m starting to really panic.
Have any of you submitted an application around July 20th, especially in Val-d'Oise (95)? How long did you wait between the passport being produced and it being available at the town hall? Is it normal for this step to take this long?
This mission means so much to me. I had everything organized, and I’m also supposed to attend a friend’s wedding right after near the border.

I’m a bit embarrassed because I need to travel to Quebec from February 27th to March 13th. I’m a regular visitor to Canada—this will be my 10th trip since 1997, plus a year as a permanent resident (2000–2001) and a cross-country run from Vancouver to Halifax in 2011. So, I’m definitely not a terrorist!
But since our last trip in July 2015, they’ve introduced this eTA thing. Seems more like a way to make money than to actually secure Canada, if you ask me, but anyway, that’s not the point.
I applied for an eTA for myself, my wife, and our two kids. They all got approved within hours, but not me! I was asked to create a GC key and then an IRCC account, which I did. Normally, you get news within 72 hours, but since Monday, January 15th, nothing!
In the "message" section of the account, it says "explanation letter (required)" with a deadline of January 25th, but I can’t find any explanation anywhere—despite searching the Canadian government website and Google. No links, nothing!
I’ve emailed them but haven’t heard back yet. I’m thinking of calling the Canadian embassy in Paris tomorrow. Even though I’m not stressing yet, it’d be a bummer if everyone else got to go without me!
If anyone’s had this issue before or knows what this explanation letter is about, I’d love to hear more.

I’ve tried my hotel, the Lotte Hotel (which is well-known in Seoul), the airport—basically, I’ve entered at least 20 addresses, all rejected....

I bought a one-way flight (Ryanair) and a return flight (EasyJet) to spend a week in Morocco in April.
My passport expires 3 weeks after the return date.
Some websites say the passport must be valid for 3 months at the time of entry.
However, it will still be valid both on entry and return, but its validity will only be 1 month at the time of entry (and 3 weeks on the return date, everything prepaid).
It's an individual family trip.
The consulate can't give me an answer—they're still looking into it (really!)
Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht).
This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea?

As a French national, I need to obtain a short-stay visa that can be converted to a long-stay one. To do this, I have to send the required documents to the Madagascar embassy in Paris.
No issues with that procedure so far.
If I get this visa, once I arrive in Madagascar, I’ll need to provide the same documents to the Ministry of the Interior in Anosy. I’m trying to find an email address or website for the Ministry to check which documents I need to submit (I think they ask for additional ones).

I’d like to know if anyone has already applied for a private visa to Russia with an invitation from a Russian resident.
I traveled earlier this year with an e-visa, but since I want to stay longer, I’ll be visiting my friend who lives in eastern Russia.
For the visa application, does the invitation need to be on an official paper form issued by the Russian ministry? And most importantly, do I need to present the original for the application, or is there an electronic version that can be sent directly to the consulate in France?

I filled out the B2 form to apply for a visa, created an account on Atvis to pay the visa fees and schedule a meet-up, but every time I try to pay with my Boursobank Visa 1st card, they refuse the payment with a message telling me to check my details (address), even though everything is correct. Does anyone know why this is happening, or maybe they don’t accept Visa cards? Are you aware of this?

There are rumors going around about the ETA: it must absolutely be on your smartphone in the "ETA" app.
Paper documents might not be accepted.

I’ve read that China may ask for proof of exit within 30 days (flight ticket or other reservation). Since we’d be leaving by land, I’m wondering how this works in practice.

On her ticket, it only has her maiden name (e.g., Martine DUPOND).
On her passport, it’s written as Martine DUPOND épouse AVRY.
No issues for travel, I hope I did the right thing with the ticket?
Then for the ESTA, is just Martine DUPOND enough, or do I need to include the "épouse AVRY" part like on the passport?

I saw on the French Embassy in Peru’s website and the Peruvian Consulate in Paris’s site that the rule is to have a passport valid for 6 months *after the arrival date* (not the return date).
I arrive in Peru on August 13, 2019 (for about twelve days), and my passport is valid until February 16, 2020.
That’s 6 months and 3 days after my arrival date in Peru. In my opinion, I’m good to go.
But could I still be denied entry if they say I don’t cover the return date or that I’m too close to the 6-month mark?
I read on the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs website that it’s possible to apply for a temporary driving permit in China, valid for 1 month.
I’m planning to rent a car (without a driver) to explore part of the country next August, so I was wondering:
