bonjour celina, voila mes premieres impressions apres quatres jours passes a Cork.
_ la ville est petite certes (1300000h), mais venant d'un departement rural, pour moi sa taille me convient parfaitement, commerces, boutiques, pubs, ... tout est a proximité et il est facile de s'y integrer. La ville est sympa, les gens aussi, il y a toujours quelque chose a faire et tu peux sortir tout les soirs et renconter plein de monde. C'est une ville jeune (40% de moins de trente ans) donc ça bouge.
_Au niveau du taf, pour le moment je cherche encore (je viens d'arriver et cherche a bosser dans un pub).Ton niveau d'anglais joue beaucoup pour certains jobs (restos, bar, magasins, ....)a toi de l'ameliorer si necessaire.
Si tu n'est pas fluent, tu peux t'orienter vers des jobs en call center ou ils recherchent des francais en permanence(Apple, meghen, ....), avec un niveau d'anglais moindre.
Attention car leurs maniere de parler est un peu particuliere, accent tres prononcé (un peu comme les ch'tis chez nous). Mais on s'y fait.
Aussi j'ai noté qu'il y avait pas mal de francais sur place qui tentent leur chance et il est certain que tous ne trouverons pas de boulot ( j'espere ne pas etre de ceux la).
Voila a peu pres tout ce que je peux t'en dire pour le moment, si tu a d'autres questions n'hesites pas.
Voilà je suis un peu dans la même situation que Gwen, je suis arrivé il y a une semaine jour pour jour à Cork. Je confirme que Cork est une petite ville, le centre-ville n'est pas énorme mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut (ou presque, il faut bien chercher pour trouver un resto autre qu'un fast-food). Pour ce qui est de la masse de Français, il y en a pas mal mais beaucoup moins qu'à Dublin... tu n'entends pas parler français à tout bout de champ...
Pour ce qui est du boulot, actuellement c'est assez facile de trouver, les call center embauchent un max avec Noel qui approche tout doucement. Après tout dépend de ce à quoi tu aspires... je ne suis pas bilingue donc je commence par ça et on verra ensuite si je change ou non. Pour les pubs ça a l'air un peu plus compliqué, j'ai posé mes CV un peu partout mais beaucoup de pubs sont assez petits et donc ils n'embauchent que peu de personnes.
Après je confirme que l'Irlande est un très beau pays, ce week end j'ai déjà été faire une petite escapade à la pointe du Kerry, au Skellig Island et c'est vraiment magnifique...
Pour l'accent je trouve que ça peut aller, les irlandais sont très patient et font pas mal d'effort quand ils se rendent compte qu'on a du mal à comprendre, il suffit juste d'être très attentif et ça se passe plutot bien.

La form gwen depuis hier (ben ouais j'suis un des types que t'as croise au an brog).
Pour ceux que ca interresse sans un p'tit niveau d'anglais c'est un peu chaud de trouver du taf sans y aller a fond, et meme avec ca et de l'experience c'est pas sur de marcher (quoique certain trouve en 1 journee parait-il).
Apres reste la piste des call-center qui a marcher pour moi alors que j'etais pas loin de m'avouer vaincu. C'est vrai qu'il recherche a gaver de francais avant les fetes mais faut s'adresser aux boites d'interim qui bossent en relation direct avec les call-center.
Sinon la ville est sympa, et y'a quand meme pas mal de frenchies (l'auberge de jeunesse ressemble a une annexe du consulat francais), et les irlandais pour la plupart sont acceuillants, font des efforts pour parler doucement quand tu galeres a comprendre, ...
Venir a cork est quand meme un bon plan, au niveau des visites a faire dans la ville et dans les campagnes alentours, la mer est pas loin, il y a des vallees magnifiques, des lacs terribles, et je suis a court de superlatifs pour decrire le reste...
Voila en gros apres mon experience de 3 semaines dans les environ de cork..!
Viendez en irlande (au moins pour le bon boire) !!!

les transports en communs ne sont pas tres pratiques en irlande, chers et mal desservis et tres lent.
Moi perso g pris ma voiture et pour le moment je ne m'en sers pas, je suis proche du centre ville donc mes jambes font l'affaire. Aussi, si tu souhaites visiter le pays ou aller sur Dublin un WE, la voiture est indispensable, elle t'emeneras la ou tu veux pour un prix plus raisonnable que les transports en commun et surtout plus rapidement. Saches aussi que le diesel et plus cher que l'essence, eh ouui c bizarre mais faut le savoir.
Aussi l'inconvenient et que le stationnement en centre ville et payant entre 8het18h(environ 2 euros les deux heures a Cork) Donc il faut connaitre les endroits gratuit dans la ville sous peine de se faire poser un Sabot (180euros pour le faire enlever) si tu a "oublié" de payer.
A peser le pour et le contre je pense avoir fais le bon choix même si pour le moment je ne m'en sers pas trop.

Cork est une ville beaucoup plus petite que Bordeaux.
130 000 habitants certes mais je sais pas où ils les trouvent ;-) si ils comptent les gens autour ...
La ville est très agréable, mais tu n'as pas l'impression de te retrouver même dans une grande ville de province en France. Le centre ville est plutôt réduit... ca m'avait surpris. Pas déçu mais "surpris", si vous avez la possibilité de vous y rendre quelques jours pour visiter avant, ne pas hésiter.

voila j'arrive le 25 octobre de Roscoff, "malheureusement" c'est le weekend de jazz( mais c'est bien :) ).Je n'ai eu que les dates du 26, 27 octobre dans l'auberge Kinlay house surement du à l'évenement.
je cherche une personne qui pourrait m'héberger juste une nuit, rémunération oblige bien sur, car je galère pour trouver un hotel disponnible le 25 dans des prix raisonnables.

fraichement arrivé à cork ce weekend, je commence mes démarches pour trouver un appartement dans un premier temps.je suis actuellement dans l'auberge de jeunesse kinlay house jusqu'a jeudi 30 voir peut être plus.j'ai repéré des appartements sur la carte et envoyé des mails sur DAFT.ie sans réponse pour l'instant.
l'appartement ne va pas me donner trop de soucis par contre c'est vraie que pour le boulot c'est une autre histoire.envoyé quelques CV en attente.
je sais pas trop ou commencer car il est vraie que mon anglais n'est pas d'un "level" élévé :) mais bon je comprends.le plus dur est de s'exprimer.Quel choc au départ d'entendre l'irish accent.mais je pense que c'est comme toute chose on s'y habitue.

Oui c'est clair, mais si tu décide de partir avant au moins 1 an, il faut leur rembourser ce qu'ils t'ont filé ! Mais je pense etre bien tombé avec Apple. Si j'en ai la possibilité, je pense rester chez eux :p Puis si par la suite j'ai la possibilité de me delocaliser ailleurs, bah je le ferai :p
Mais je n'ai pas reussi a trouver d'informations concernant les evolutions de carriere, je pense effectivement que leurs politique de confidentialité sont les memes que la CIA lol !

If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).

Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area.
