DONC ma question est : est ce que la temperature est si mauvaise a Cuba au mois daout?
Ca fait 6 ans que je vais a Cuba en juillet et aout et oui c'est sur qu'il y a des chances d'ouragans mais tellement minime. Ca m'est arrivé une fois en 2006 de pogné la queue d'un ouragan a la fin aout mais rien de dramatique beaucoup de pluie pendant une journée et le lendemain retour du soleil. c'est sur que la mer a ramener des cochonneries mais ils ont vite ramasser.
Mais sinon depuis, soleil mur a mur et j'y vais vers la fin août surtout!!! Très chaud et humide et des orages surtout la nuit ou le soir. Mais dans le jour il fait toujours beau environ 42 avec humidex!!! Alors je vais continuer a passer mes vacances d'été la-bas!!!😎
Et ne vous fiez pas a la météo a partir d'ici ca sert a rien............a chaque fois que je pars je suis prise d'angoisse car ils annonce de la merde pour tout mon voyage et chaque fois c'est la même chose, du soleil et de l'humditié (en été bien sur) je pense que la température est tellement humide la-bas qu'ils ne peuvent faire autrement que d'annoncé des orages tout les jours mais j'arrive tout juste de Cuba et dans toute notre semaine ont a eu un orage pendant le souper et le reste passait la nuit!!!Donc l'été le temps est trop incertain pour qu'il annonce beau mais a chaque fois j'ai eu que du beau temps tout le contraire de ce qu'il annoncait a partir d'ici!!🙂

Je confirme ce que dis Cheers et moi aussi je pars toujours au mois d'aout! TRes tres chaud et humide a l'extreme. Mais l'eau de la mer est chaude et les piscines sont comme des spas yéyé

J'ai trompé mon cher Cuba en janvier pour la Jamaique et j'ai tellement été décu, que la je me rattrape cette été, j'y ai été en juillet et j'y retourne fin septembre début octobre.....c'est fou comment la mer de Cuba et le peuple cubain m'avais manqué!!😉
J'ai aussi tromper Cuba au mois de novembre passé mais moi j'ai vraiment capoter au Grand sunset princess en formule swim out, le gros bonheur. Mais je suis retourné a cuba en mars, avril et juin...Prochain départ pour Cuba dans 3 semaines.
Je retourne au mexique seulement en septembre 1 fois par année ailleurs c'est pas trop trompée lollll

C'étasi meme pas un choix, En mars, j'ai geler a CAyo santa Maria, En avril a Holguin il a plu pendant 7 jours ...Découragée j'ai booké pour 500$ en juin et laaaaaaaaaaa, il a fait tellement beau et chaud! ouff! Moi Varadero en plus de trouver ca cher, je trouve que maintenant on mange mal en titi! Je crois que c'est LA place ou tu manges le plus mal a Cuba.

745$ c'est pas cher habituellement je la paye beaucoup plus cher, la nourriture est très bonne, l'animation aussi et toute le monde est sympatique la-bas!!! Pour avoir essayé plusieurs hotels à Varadero il est dans mes coups de coeur!!!

Nous voulons faire quelques safaris, aller dans les villages, les montagnes, voir les plantations de thé, ... Mais aussi voir les tortues. Nous adorons le snorkeling mais ne sommes pas de grands connaisseurs, on est juste contents de voir des poissons plein de couleurs et des coraux. On a toujours voulu voir des tortues aussi. Donc l'idée c'est quand même d'y voir quelque chose sous leau 😊

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

I’ve looked into a few different options: Brazil, Cambodia, and Ecuador. The last one really appeals to me, but what’s making me hesitate is the risk of our trip being a bit too rainy (literally ),
We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.

I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
