Je ne suis encore jamais allé en Nouvelle Zélande, mais je suis déjà assez cultivé sur le sujet !! (il faut dire que j'en rêve depuis 2 ans maintenant...).
Je compte y partir afin d'y approfondir mes connaissances de la langue anglaise. Le départ : ce sera soit septembre, soit octobre, soit janvier ; dans le dernier cas, pour 5 mois, dans les deux premiers cas, pour 5 ou 9 mois (😉). Si je pars avant décembre, je profiterais intégralement de la chaleur de l'été austral (enfin en NZ, tout est relatif, si j'ai bien compris).😛
Deux possibilités s'offrent à moi : île du Nord ou île du Sud, Auckland ou Christchurch...😕
Sur ma période de séjour, en plus de mes week-end, je bénéficierai d'au moins 4 semaines je pense pour découvrir le pays. Dans tous les cas, j'irais faire un saut sur les deux îles. Mais sur laquelle vaut-il mieux élire domicile?
Le climat de l'île du Nord est paraît-il plus clément. Mais Christchurch m'a l'air d'être une ville plus jolie et plus agréable qu'Auckland. Cela dit, je n'y ai pas mis les pieds alors je peux me tromper !!🤪
Svp, aidez-moi à choisir. Des splendeurs du Nord, ou des merveilles du Sud, desquelles devrais-je devenir le voisin ?
Est-il facile de s'extirper de ces villes le week end pour aller découvrir les alentours ? Ou fait-il bon de vivre ?
PS : une autre question svp : sauf à être muni d'un VVT, un ti français peut-il aisément trouver un ti job, histoire de gagner 4 ronds et d'amortir un peu les du séjour ?😇

Question cruciale effectivement! Les deux îles ont leur charme bien particulier et tout dépend de ce que tu privilégie : la plage ou les ballades dans les Alpes, les volcans ou les fjords...
Auckland et Christchurch sont effectivement différentes. J'aurais tendance à penser qu'il pleut moins à Christchurch qui est effectivement très agréable au niveau architecture. Ce côté de l'ile est très sec. La ville est par contre un peu excentrée par rapport aux endroits les plus spectaculaires de l'ile.
A Auckland, il y a beaucoup à faire et de superbes parcs. C'est plus central pour accéder à la fois au Northland sub-tropical et historique et à la région des volcans et des sources thermales.
Il y a des vols bon marché entre les deux îles et 4 semaines seront suffisantes pour découvrir celle où tu ne vivras pas.

C'est évident, d'un point de vue climatique : le nord est plus tentant. Quoique les pluies y soient apparemment plus nombreuses. Mais l'essentiel, pour moi, est de pouvoir me sentir à l'aise dans une ville, si loin de chez moi.
Auckland est-elle une jolie ville ? Vous qui connaissez si bien la nouvelle zélande, si vous deviez passer 9 mois dans une de ces deux villes (Auckland ou Christchurch), laquelle choisiriez vous et pour quelles raisons ?
J'ai pu consulter des photos des centres de christchurch et d'auckland ; mais je me demande comment sont les banlieues de ces deux villes (je devrais résider en banlieue).
En ce qui concerne le cadre environnant de ces deux villes, eh bien ça m'a l'air beau, dans les deux cas, très valonné (avec Akaroa pour christchurch).🙂
Les plages avoisinnantes : les deux villes en possèdent, peut être pas de même qualité, je ne sais pas.
Ce que j'adore, c'est me balllader en pleine nature, loin du stress des villes (en France, je vais à Paris chaque semaine = beurk !!😠).
Une dernière question : savez-vous si, en tant qu'étudiant d'une école de langue, il me sera possible de travailler un peu sur place ?
