Je crée cette nouvelle discussion car je n'ai pas trouvée un sujet équivalent à mon sujet.
Je travaille depuis 15 ans en région parisienne dans le domaine informatique en tant qu’ingénieur système. Ma situation professionnelle stagne depuis 5 ans. Pas d’évolution car pas assez diplômé, ne parle pas anglais etc… Tout pour rester au même niveau et ne pas évoluer.
Souhaitant évoluer, je me suis dit que j’aimerais faire ce que j’ai toujours voulu : Partir vivre aux États-Unis vers Miami ou Los Angeles de préférence (Là où il y a le soleil). Sauf (ou plutôt le bonheur) j’ai un enfant de 4 ans.
Si je dois partir aux États-Unis travailler chez l’oncle Sam, je pense que je trouverais un job dans le domaine de l’informatique mais plusieurs questions me freinent un peu…
- - Comment obtenir un visa de travail (même 1 an) ?
- - Connaissez-vous des sites proposant des emplois ?
- - Comment vais-je trouver une école bilingue ou une école primaire française pour mon enfant ? Il y a-t-il des villes pour l’accueillir ?
- - Comment trouver et employer une nounou ou autres qui pourraient m’épauler après le boulot ?
- - Le prix des loyers sont –ils aussi cher qu’à Paris (j’ai un loyer de 1100 €) ?
Merci de vos réponses. Je pense partir vivre aux États-Unis d’ici janvier ou septembre 2017. Cela me laisse le temps de préparer les choses.

il y a deja sur le forum plein d'infos sur le sujet...la fonction 'rechercher' est tres utile.
-tu dois trouver un employeur qui est pret a te sponsoriser pour un visa de travail; aucun employeur ne te sponsorisera pour un an, ca sera plus.
-ton enfant aura 5 ans et pourra rentrer en ecole: autant le mettre en ecole publique: tout est fait pour accueillir les etrangers dans les ecoles et ca facilitera son integration (et ca sera beaucoup moins cher qu'une ecole privee).
-miami ou LA: les loyers seront plus eleves que ce que tu payes en ce moment a Paris (compte a peu pres le double).
-pour les jobs: Monster, Indeed, Glassdoor, et surtout le networking (avoir un profil interessant sur linkedin).
-regarde sur le site de l'ambassade pour des infos sur les visas (et sur ce forum, en fouillant un peu)

Je vous recommande de commencer à apprendre l'anglais tout de suite, sinon vous m'expliquerez comment vous aller faire un entretien avec un employeur américain qui ne parle que l'anglais 😉.
Les autres ci-dessus vous ont donné d'excellentes réponses concernant les visas et la recherche d'emploi.
L'autre option à considérer est de demander un transfert de votre boîte si celle-ci possède une filiale aux États-Unis.

Je tiens à m'excuser🙁. Je me suis mal exprimé dans le 1er message concernant l'anglais "ne parle pas anglais". En faite je sais parler anglais. J'ai un niveau moyen pour la compréhension en général et un bon niveau d'anglais concernant l'anglais informatique.
J'ai déjà effectuée des confcall avec des techniciens/ingénieurs basé à New-York, New-Delhi, Singapour. Donc je me débrouille assez bien sur ce point.
J'ai déjà effectuée des petits séjours à Londres, des voyages à l'étranger Tanzanie-Zanzibar, Pays-Bas. Je me débrouille. Sinon je n'aurais pas choisie la destination des États-Unis.
En faite c'est juste lors des recherches d'emploi en France la plupart des offres demandent un niveau d'anglais élevé voir être bilingue. Mon anglais moyen ça ne passe pas pour eux 🙁alors que je sais que je peux faire l'affaire si on me donne ma chance comme cela a été faits auparavant.😠
2ème point ) Employeur
Merci de l'information. Je viens de penser à mon ancien employeur qui est une entreprise Américaine/Canadienne. Je vais voir avec eux les modalités pour re-travailler chez eux et "migré" aux Etats-Unis. Peut être qu'ils me donneront un "visa de travail". D'après leur site ils proposent des offres en adéquation avec mon expérience. Je vais voir avec eux. Sinon je vais taper à la porte de Microsoft ou IBM.🙂
Je vais aussi mettre à jour mon profil Linkedin. Tout sera en anglais c'est mieux. Ça aidera.😛
3ème point ) École
Merci de l'info aussi. J'avais pensé à l'école privée pour son intégration anglais/français. Mais si dans les écoles publiques tout est fait pour accueillir l'enfant étranger pourquoi pas.
Pour dire vrai, j'avais peur de l'école publique. Peur que le petit se retrouve abandonnée devant les autres enfants américains😐. C'est pour cela que j'avais pensé au privée.
4ème point ) Ville
Je n'ai pas de ville prédéfinie mais c'est vrai que le sud me dirait bien. J'aime le soleil😎. Je viens du Sud de la France😊. Ma vie parisienne est bien mais le soleil, la chaleur manquent toujours.
Mais tout dépendra de l'employeur
C'est qu'une école privée aux États-Unis est tout simplement hors de prix. Comptez facilement 15 000$ par année (et encore ça reste modeste). Vous trouverez peu d'écoles françaises aussi.
De toute façon, l'idée d'aller vivre dans un autre pays c'est de s'y intégrer. Pas de recréer la France ailleurs 😉

My name is Deborah, I’m French. I’m married and have two children. I’m a clinical psychologist specializing in psychotraumatology, and I’m also pursuing medical studies.
For some time now, I’ve been seriously considering moving to the United States. My long-term goal is to practice medicine in the U.S., with a particular interest in forensic pathology. I know the journey is demanding (USMLE, residency, fellowship, etc.), but I’m ready to commit to several years of hard work.

Our departure time is getting closer (we have less than 2 years left—it’s both a long time and so short!). To start preparing seriously, we’ll need quite a bit of info. If anyone knows the rates charged by movers for a crate to French Polynesia, or what pitfalls to avoid (I know you can get quotes directly from movers, but I’d love insights from actual customers😉).
Are there any special requirements before leaving France (aside from taxes...)?

Hi, I’m a self-employed physiotherapist in France, and as my wife (a nurse) and I look into working abroad in about two years, I’ve been offered an equivalence to become a respiratory physiotherapist in Switzerland. Actually, I’m currently doing a postgraduate diploma in pediatric respiratory physiotherapy and want to specialize in that area. Anyway, that’s not the main point—could anyone explain the pros and cons of doing this job in Switzerland? Based on the paperwork I’ve received, the equivalence seems purely administrative or almost... What about working conditions, quality of life, salaries, etc.?
