C'était la 1ere fois que je partais en R-D et je n'ai plus qu'une chose en tete : y retourner le plus vite possible ! Y-a-t-il un syndrome pour la R-D qui nous pousserait inévitablement à y revenir ? salut vidu, tu as raison la r d est magique .on n'a tous envie d'y retourner (enfin presque) mais ici je consulte souvent et je constate que le syndrome doit exister.je vois que tu as deja pas mal voyagé et que toi aussi tu prefères la rep dom .bien venue au club.nous y sommes allés deux fois mais nos prochaines vacances seront encore la-bas. mais pourquoi, la est le mystère .

nous etions au viva dominicus beach hotel tres bien
ce que nous n'avons pas aime c'est qu'avec les 2 hotels cela faisait 800 chambres trop grand pour nous nous recherchons des petites structures 250 chambres maxi
c'est plus familial et plus facile pour sympathiser avec les autres
En réponse à ta question, car il y'a toujours une réponse à une question . . . Je suis parti en R.D au mois de février et j'ai moi aussi eu ce problème avec le retour, ça a durée !!! et ça dur encore .... Ce n'est pas le pays qui veut ça, et non ... cela s'appelle le syndrome de l'ile..
Explication : La R.D est une ile ! Oui et alors me diras tu ?
La R.D n'est donc raccrochée à aucun continent ! elle est libre come l'air !!! d'ou ce sentiment de liberté de joie et de bonne humeur qui nous accompagnent quand nous sommes sur un ile !! j'ai ressenti le même syndrome en Angleterre.. Certaine personne qui ont vécu longtemps sur une ile peuvent passées par une dépression grave et parfois les menant au suicide... Si le retour sur une ile ne se fait pas !!! mais je ne pense pas que tu es passé 5 ans là - bas ?
Donc un seul objectif pour sortir de ce syndrome !!! pensé à tes vacances de l'année prochaine en R.D OU SUR UNE AUTRE ILE ! L'effet kiss coll est le même..

Enfin je vois que je ne suis pas toute seule...et que ce sentiment est tout à fait normal!! Ca fait 2 semaines que je suis revenu de la RD et je ne m'en remet toujours pas!!! Je planifie déjà mon prochain voyage en juin.. et même que je cherche de l'informations dans le but d'aller y vivre et y travailler.
Je viens de découvrir ce site et je trouve ça vraiment génial de discuter avec des gens qui ont la même passion et de partager nos expériences...

😕 Eh bien ça rassure de voir qu'on n'est pas seuls au monde. Cela fait 1 mois que je suis de retour du Casa del Mar à Bayahibe, et je n'en peux plus d'attendre les prochaines vacances en RD. Cela m'avait fait le même effet l'année dernière au retour de Punta Cana. Les vacances en Europe me paraîtront bien tristes désormais... Hasta la vista Republicana Dominicana...

At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.

I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)

2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
