On aimerait sortir de l'hotel Barcelo Dominican Beach durant notre séjour à punta cana pour aller voir du pays (d'autres villes) et j'aimerais savoir s'il y avait un bus (local) pour pouvoir nous déplacer. Connaître le cout d'un passage également 😉
Et si jamais quelqu'un était parti il y a peu en RD, à combien est le change aujourd'hui?

nous arrivons du barcelo a puerto plata et c'est excellent au point de vue température et nourriture.
le taux de change est meilleur avec de l'argent américaine car nous avons eu 35 pesos républicain pour chaque dollars us changé. il y a surement une autobus a punta cana car il en avait une a puerto plata.

pour les bus je ne crois pas qu'il en existe car tout d'abord il n'y a aucune ville aux alentours vu que c'est une zone touristique construite artificiellement (leur but étant que vous consommiez tout sur place 😉), par contre vous pouvez prendre un taxi privé ou louer une voiture !
En ce moment le change est à 48 pesos mais allez dans une maison de change et surtout pas à l'hôtel ni à l'aéroport !
Quelle bonne résolution de vouloir sortir de l'hôtel. La ville la plus proche est Higuey à plus d'une heure en bus public. Il faut que tu te mettes devant la barrière de l'hôtel et dans cette rue passent des petits bus qui t'amèneront vers le terminus (Parada) des grands bus allant vers Higuey (je te conseilles de prendre ceux notés Expreso car plus rapide avec peu d'arrêts). Le coût environ 100 rd$ pesos.
Fais-toi déposer devant la basilique et puis tu reviendras en arrière pour voir en cours de route le marché et ensuite tu trouveras la parada de retour. Apprend quelques mots d'espagnol tout de même.
C'est la seule visite que tu pourras faire ainsi car le reste est plus loin ou pas évident. Si tu as une demande précise n'hésites pas à la formuler.

1 Us$ = 36.35 rd$

En faite je connais la rep dom mais j'ai mal exprimer ma question... j'ai déja emprunté ces bus devant un autre hotel ou j'etais allée auparavant mais je ne savais pas si ces bus passait devant tous les hotels de la cote.... parce qu'il y a beaucoup d'hotels!...
J'aurai du formuler ma question autrement alors peut etre saurez-vous me dire si les bus font leur arrét assez loin ou non de mon hotel qui est le Bavaro dominican beach?
Et peut-etre sauriez-vous si cette hotel se trouve plus dans la parti punta cana ou plus dans bavaro?

Je ne peux pas répondre à toute ta question mais voici une partie de la réponse. Le Barcelo Dominican Beach se trouve entre la plage El Cortecito et celle de Bavaro. Je suis à peu près certaine que le bus local qui t'amènera au terminus, passe sur la rue en face de ton hôtel, puisque tu seras en plein centre de la zone hotellière de Punta Cana.
Alors là mrd chapeau! 😎 C'est exactement ce qu'il me fallait! Maintenant je sais exactement ou je me situe pour mon voyage mais aussi pour les suivants! c'est top, ça m'aidera à choisir d'autres hotels la prochaine fois! 😉😉😉

Je ne suis allée à Punta Cana que 5 fois mais j'aime bien parcourir le web pour me renseigner sur les destinations dominicaines. J'ai fait plus de voyages dans la région de Puerto Plata que celle de Punta Cana.

Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Do you know of any nice, budget-friendly hotels with activities in Mexico? Or Zanzibar is also an option for me, same idea.

I’m tired of spending hours and hours searching for all-inclusive hotels for my first trip to Mexico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). I’m not necessarily aiming for the cheapest resort, but since it’s spring break week and everything’s already pricier, 5-star options are probably out of the question. Thanks!

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The first is the Etosha National Park site: https://etoshanationalpark.co.za
You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.

A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ???
