Tout d'abord, je veux souhaiter à tous ceux qui viennent sur ce forum une bonne année 2012!! Santé, joie, et de pouvoir continer à voyager que nous en rèverons!!
Bon....Nous en sommes à réserver notre prochain voyage, départ le 6 ou le 7 avril, pour un 7 ou un 8 jours(encore mieux!!), mais j'aimerais avoir vos suggestions pour l'hotel!! Si possible, embarquement avec air transat...
Nous partons mon chum et moi et notre fille de 14 ans. L'an dernier, nous étions au barcelo punta cana. La plage était fabuleuse, hyper tranquille et longue, on pouvait marcher des heures de chaque còté!! Nous avions trouvé la nourriture ok , sans plus. L'année d'avant, nous étions allés a la romana, au Hacienda Dominicus, où la nourriture était excellente, mais nous avions moins aimé la plage qui était très en pente (mais un peu hors de notre controle, alors ok) mais aussi étroite, et on ne pouvait pas marcher beaucoup.
Nous avons pensé au Dreams, et au Bahia Principé, mais ce dernier est trop grand, nous étions tous près l'an dernier, nous avons vu de quoi la plage avait l'air = bondée +++ de monde...alors non merci!
Coté budget, on peut mettre autour de 1500$ par personne, alors si vous avez un petit paradis à me suggérer, ca me fera grand plaisir!!
Au niveau de la température, est ce moi, ou bien c'est plutot douteux, en RD, en avril? Nos deux dernères années là bas, on a eu beaucoup de nuages, et avec de gros vents, pas toujours tres chaud...On est déja allés à Cuba, chaleur et soleil présents, mais on préfère aller ailleurs...

je part dans 3 semaine au majestic colonial aller voir les commentaires sur trip advisor... très peu de mauvais commentaires je vous le dis :) pas mal dans vos prix ...
Merci Julie! C'est drole, parce que ma fille qui vient avec nous (!4 ans) nous "scille" les oreilles avec cet hotel depuis deux jours, parce que sa meilleure amie est allée à cet hotel l'an dernier. Donc ma fille ne jure que par cet endroit!! En effet, il est dans nos prix, mais avec sunwing. Nous, on regarde avec Air transat, il est autour de 1634$ je crois. Sais tu si cet hotel est près de la plage? Je sais qu'il est SUR la plage, mais sais tu si ca se fait bien comme distance? J'ai déjà vu des complexes qu'on devait marcher un 15 min pour se rendre à la mer, un peu long!! Aussi, je me demande si la plage de cet hotel est très achalandé? L'an passé, nous étions au barcelo punta cana, la plage était presque vide, c'était merveilleux! et je sais que le baya principé était tout près, nous passions devant en marchant, mais tout le monde était terriblement tassé sur la plage, alors non merci!!

J'ai payer 1400 par personne j'ai été chanceuse présentement je ne le voit pas avec nolitour désoler...Je regardais moi aussi pour le BAHIA mais comme vous je trouvais qu'il était bondé.Le majestic l'est moin ca c'est certain.pour le majestic plus votre numéros de chambre est élever plus vous serai près de la plage si vous le choisiser... prioriser le bloc 2 qui est face a la piscine.
Avez vous été vois les commentaire sur trip advisor pour cet hotel ... vous ne serai pas décu très peu de mauvais commentaires..
ha j'ai trouver :) :)... départ 10 avril par contre 1495 par personne avec nolitour caméléon or... avion air transat ou son proteger can jet bon prix car il est a 1765 en janvier...le majestic colonial n'est pas vendu par vacance transat.
Savez vous si le Majestic Colonial a une partie calme, à la plage? Parfois, il y a comme deux parties à la plage, une plus animée et une autre où on peut se retirer où il y a moins de monde...Aussi, savez vous l'âge de la clientele, approximativement? Est ce plutot des jeunes ?

pour la plage il n'y a pas a ce que je sache de parti réserver mais cette hotel est quand même calme ...oui quelque famille avec enfants mais pas trop de fetard qui eux xhoisisent les hotel moin dispendieux .

All-inclusive, yes... but let's not forget the human side! 🇩🇴✨ I just got back from the Dominican Republic, and one observation really sticks with me: a lot of vacationers forget how crucial tips are.
At all-inclusive resorts, base salaries are extremely low for 10- to 12-hour workdays. Tips aren’t just a little extra—they often make up half of these families’ income.
Personally, I always prepare an envelope with euro bills in different denominations before I leave (they exchange them easily on-site). Here’s my method:
🛏️ For housekeeping: I leave a bill on the pillow every morning since schedules rotate daily.
🍽️ For servers: I always sit at the same table. At the end of the trip, I give an envelope to each server who took care of us daily.
🎉 For entertainment: I set aside an envelope for the animator who put in the most effort and really touched me.
The package covers the hotel, but our tips help support the people who make our vacations magical. Don’t forget to budget for this in cash when you pack!

For my husband's 50th birthday, we're going to Mombasa for 10 days and 8 nights in March 2026.
I found a hotel, the Kappa Club Crystal Bay Resort, and online reviews for this hotel recommend a guide named Omar. I contacted him via WhatsApp, and he's offering a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East, a "blue safari," and a Marafa Canyon day trip for 400 € per person.
I’m asking for help from people who’ve already done these excursions because I have no idea what these offers entail.

Hi everyone, I’m writing here because I’m really torn—I want to go on a trip. A vacation? 10 to 12 days, maybe 14 days. Starting March 14th. I’m in a wheelchair but completely independent. I was thinking of going to Martinique, but apparently, the hotels aren’t all-inclusive, which might be a hassle. If you have any advice, that’d be great. Otherwise, I was considering Mexico—a long-time dream. At an all-inclusive hotel with accessibility on one level (since I’m independent but in a wheelchair). Do you know of any nice, budget-friendly hotels with activities in Mexico? Or Zanzibar is also an option for me, same idea.

I’m tired of spending hours and hours searching for all-inclusive hotels for my first trip to Mexico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.
Can anyone recommend 5 or 6 hotel names that meet the following criteria? (I’m not too picky, lol)
1. All-inclusive
2. Adults-only
3. Beautiful beach and pool
4. Hotel for relaxing (no "factory hotels")
5. One-week stay in February 2026
6. A nice hotel (3 or 4 stars) but no need for an ultra-palace
Oh, and I almost forgot the main thing 😉: budget between 3500 € and 4000 € for two, including flights from Montreal-Mexico-Montreal.

Hi there, I’m a 43-year-old woman planning to travel solo in early March. I’m not really into "commercial resorts," but if I find a place that fits my criteria, I might be interested. To add to the info in the title, I’m open to various activities, but ideally, it’d include snorkeling, hiking, dance (every evening if possible!), group tours, etc. I’d love to meet people (not necessarily a man—just people in general!). I’m not necessarily aiming for the cheapest resort, but since it’s spring break week and everything’s already pricier, 5-star options are probably out of the question. Thanks!

We’ll be in Venice from March 20th to 24th, and I’m looking (for two couples) for a hotel close to St. Mark’s Square—my husband can’t walk long distances. For four nights with breakfast, our budget is around 1,400 € per couple. To avoid too much walking for him, I’d also prefer a hotel where we could potentially eat dinner in the evenings.

The first is the Etosha National Park site: https://etoshanationalpark.co.za
You can’t pay online there—you just submit a reservation request (enquiry).
The second is the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts) site: https://www.nwr.com.na, where you *can* pay online.
Is the latter one reliable?

Bonjour nous arriverons dimanche 5 mai ( à partir de 16h25) à l'aéroport de Punta Cana pour profiter d'un séjour que mon amie à gagner à l’hôtel Gran Bahia Principe La Romana.
L'avion est offert par la compagnie aérienne, l'hôtel je pense par la chaine hôtelière, mais aujourd'hui je m’inquiète du transfert car aucune info et j'apprends que rien n'est prévu.
D’après ce que j'ai vu le dernier car expreso part de Punta Cana à 16h00
Y-a t'il d'autres moyens de transports collectif (guagua) qui puisse faire le trajet ou au moins nous avancer jusqu'à La Romana ou San Pedro de Marcoris et je pense qu'on finira le trajet en taxi.
Si c'est trop compliqué ça sera navette privée mais on est plus "lonely planet " que navette privée et hôtel tout inclus.
Bonjour j ai effectué des reservations d hebergement sur l amerique du sud par l intermediaire de Booking en fevrier dernier pour novembre 2020 . A ce jour elles n apparaissent plus sur mon compte Booking , j en ai informé par mail le service clients mais ce dernier ne repond pas ...donc impossible d annuler ces reservations....Quelqu un a t il connu ce probleme et l a t il resolu ??? Ma femme, ma fille de 18 mois et moi allons passé nos vacances du 05 au 19 Août à Majorque et nous aimerions bien avoir des avis sur quel coin de l'île choisir pour séjourner.
