dans 15jrs je pars en tunisie a hammamet dans l hotel les orangers beach resort en all inclusive mais la tourista me fait très peur! c 'est la premiere fois que je vais en tunisie et j entend bcp de choses différentes.
je voulais savoir si quand ob a la tourista on vomit souvent ou c'est generalement plus frequent que ça se declare en diahrée? ayant la phobie reelle et horrible de vomir vos réponses me sont très importantes! merci d avances a tous!
La diarrhée du voyageur est défini par la survenue de plus de 3 selles non moulées par jour associée à un ou plusieurs des symptômes suivant : malaises, douleurs abdominales, nausées, vomissements, plus rarement une dysenterie caractérisée des selles glairo-sanglantes
Les vomissements ne représentent que 8 à 29% des cas
Une boisson équilibrée avec une alimentation riche en sucre suffisent.
La prophylaxie consiste surtout à surveiller son alimentation : peler les fruits, éviter les crudités, cuire les aliments à plus de 65°C, ne boire que des boissons encapsulées.

Un des éléments principaux de la transmission de la tourista, n'est pas l'alimentation , mais une mauvaise hygiène des mains !
Aller tripoter tous les porteurs de listéria, les singes, les tortues , les caméléons, se faire photographier avec un serpent sans une bonne douche ensuite est le meilleur moyen d'y avoir droit !

j'ai remarqué qu'il y a plus de malades dans les circuits et séjours luxe (resto et hôtel étoilés )
ça vient peut-être , m'a dit 1 ami médecin ( 1 vrai ) , des buffets servis pour 1 grand nombre de personnes , buffet qui reste 1 peu à la chaleur , qui sont resservis le lendemain sous d'autres formes ...
j'ai remarqué aussi que celui qui amène 1 stock de médicament anti- diarrhée , reste souvent constipé , c'est 1 comble , tout le long du séjour !
je pense que c'est 1 peu psychique , plus on a peur , plus on a mal au ventre et résultat : constipation ou inverse ....donc restons cool .

Les all inclusive, pour ce qui est de l'hygiène alimentaire, cela mérite prudence...
Les buffets en particulier, bien sûr, sont à risque quand l'hôtel n'est pas très "sérieux" (c'est à dire que l'on remet le reste du buffet dans un frigo souvent défectueux)
Prudence +++ avec tout ce qui est sauce froide, genre mayonnaise ou chantilly ( souvent additionnées de staphylocoques 🙁), et donc toute salade composée déjà préparée avec ce type de sauce
Ce qui est sûr, et à consommer sans modération:
Les plats cuisinés et accompagnements cuits quand ils sont servis TRES chauds (fumants, surtout pas tièdes)
Les plats (brochettes, poissons, viandes, ..) que l'on fait griller devant vous
Les boissons capsulées ouvertes devant vous
Le thé servi bien chaud 🙂
Quant aux crudités, si vous y tenez (risque d'hépatite si conditions de lavage défectueuses, mais bon, dans un hôtel un minimum correct... à vous de voir) , choisissez (avec prudence) ce qui vous semble frais, servi sans assaisonnement, et consommez sans sauce ou alors une vinaigrette que vous composez vous même.
Préférez les fruits que vous éplucherez vous même aux "salades" de fruits toute prêtes baignant dans un jus suspect.
Si vous aimez et connaissez les épices et le piment, utilisez (c'est protecteur). Si vous n'en avez pas l'habitude, prudence (ils peuvent donner des diarrhées au début)
Ceci dit, ces précautions sont générales, et ne s'appliquent pas trop à la Tunisie, qui est un pays correct sur ce plan.
Il y a par ailleurs des facteurs psychologiques certains dans la turista. Personnellement, j'utilise comme prévention le vin rouge (j'ai souvenir d'une publication un jour là dessus, mais je ne l'ai jamais retrouvée 🙁), avec modération bien sûr😉. Excellents vins en Tunisie.

Bonjour, personnellement et en plusieurs années, je n'ai été malade qu'une seule fois et même là, impossible de trouver une source d'infection alimentaire qui tenait la route, donc peut-être bien une bonne gastro !
les seuls cas de tourista dont j'ai eu écho avaient effectivement frappé des personnes en sejours all-inclusive effectivement.... Désolée, je crois que cela va être votre choix d'hébergement !
Néanmoins, cette année, plus que les précédentes, il semble que les contrôles sanitaires aient été plus importants dans le pays, donc tout espoir n'est pas perdu.
Sinon suivez les conseils donnés : pas de fruits et légumes crus, pas de sushis non plus hein 😉 donc pas de fruits de mer et de steaks tartares !

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
